nappyaddict - you may decide not to do the model book not all agents still use them. if you do apply you could ask for email format only. they take an initial shot at the assesment which is put on their website which is password protected.

dancerdeb · 10/05/2007 09:53

Nappyaddict, go with B&B, for me it was KL or B&B, as regards BK who my elder ds is with, they charge a one off fee of £94 and I find them to be friendly, and helpful, they do have a lot of children on their books though! when my younger ds was with them we waited a year for our first casting, then we were up and running with more castings, jobs etc.

nappyaddict..if you were offered a place with b&b i would take it.bizzy kidz are good but they have a lot of kids on their books.
b&b are classed as one of the best along with kl, urban angels, mot and they do turn a lot of children down.
my two are with urban angels.
good luck

Tinkerbel5 · 10/05/2007 12:43

nappyaddict Im going to echo everyone else and say go with B & B, the model book money may seem a lot but its less than half what I had paid at another agency, plus it can get you more work and you can recover your money back when the jobs become available which Im sure they will.

dancerdeb · 10/05/2007 20:24

Hello Rubstar77, glad you feel settled already at bk, I repeat I think they are friendly and helpful, I think your dd is at a good age fora lot of work with them, my fingers are crossed for you!

dancerdeb · 11/05/2007 11:07

Hello Rubystar77, yes I was in that fortunate position and went with what I thought was best? which was KL, I hope I did the right thing and the ball starts rolling soon, I sent in some new pics of him yesterday, as his initial ones had a lot of accessories, bandana's etc!! his hair is long and curly I hope its gonna work for him, we'll see!

marymay · 11/05/2007 15:12

ive just looked at the msn group and thought god its quiet on there today.
i thought surely someone must have some good news lol.

Lolly68 · 11/05/2007 15:16

There has been something wrong since this morning. I dont know if there are too many messages on there that need deleting maybe?

marymay · 11/05/2007 15:24

im not sure who the managers are maybe they will read this and delete some of the messages .i miss reading all the news .how sad am i

Lolly68 · 11/05/2007 15:27

We all do it... you aint sad at all. The thing is I'm at work and I never get any work done!

marymay · 11/05/2007 17:14

dontwanttogotobed..i think most agencies take children on from babies.
my two didnt start modelling till they were older dd was 9 and asked me if she could do it.ds was 7.

totallyfloaty35 · 11/05/2007 17:27

im a manager but i cant get site to delete either, its saying our site has been moved or deleted

Rubystar77 · 11/05/2007 21:12

it says on scallywags website about babies r us, i hope my lo gets picked...
dancerdeb- i'm sure you did make right decision, you have to go with your gut feeling. i've had 3 emails from bk today, they are so quick and friendly, i don't feel scared or nervous to querie anything and dn't feel like i'm wasting their time, i'm really happy already, booked in for the shoot, just hope the little monkey behaves there!

dancerdeb · 11/05/2007 21:43

Rubystar77, yes I fully agree with you BK are very approachable and you never feel intimidated with them, you mentioned you are booked in for their shoot. Bonnie normally attends and takes notes on the children, more commercial, more photographic etc, and she is lovely, well I like her! just let your little munchkin be herself, as im sure she will!!

msm is back working again everyone who is in it, that was wierd!

rubistar we were with sw - they were very quick with updates etc whilst we were with the, they were a professional agency. i didnt like the renewal fees which was main reason for leaving them

Ragamuffin · 12/05/2007 17:13

Thanx mum2two for posting the link..now I can find you all again.

mum2twoboyz · 12/05/2007 22:43

yw raga!!

goingfor3 · 14/05/2007 15:59

Nappyaddict - I agree with everyone else B&B are the one to go for. You son is a baby so you won't need to pay for portfoilio shots untio he is 4 years old. The agaency will only take £25 form his first wages. I noticed on your profile you are a student in Cardiff, the train fares if you don't drive are going to cost you a fortune, you will only get about £13 back for castings. Most castings/jobs are last minute and if you do go by train you won't be able to buy cheap apex tickets. Good luck

BigmummaL · 14/05/2007 23:12

My DS is 13 months and with UA. We haven't had a casting since March and was wondering if it was quiet with everyone at the moment?

Lolly68 · 15/05/2007 10:55

BigMummaL - apart from a few castings (2 of which we couldnt go on cos of a holida). It has been extremely quiet for us.
