Trying to get DS2 to his swimming lesson (he doesn't want to go probably because it's me taking him and not DH) and then have a bit of shopping to do, then all the usual excitement of a Saturday after that.

Mornig. Unexpected rain here. Throws a bit of a spanner in the works re gardening...oh well.

Unexpected rain here too which started just as I was going outside with the washing.

DS2 was fine in the end and has been really good except for being "really bored" when we had to get school uniform polo shirts. Yeah, it's not thrilling for me either.

Hopefully rain will pass quickly so I can put the washing out (thrills and amazes) but in the meantime I'm having a and a packet of crisps.

Still nice here, so a day for laundry & other chores, plus booking some activities for next week.

Coffee and crisps sounds like a good choice Letus. I'm having coffee and an applejam donut. Been to the library and got two books, I love libraries, they're truly the best place on earth. I also been food shopping so now I'm relaxing a bit, watching Project Rynway.

An applejam doughnut sounds like one of the best things ever to be invented! Love libraries too. When I have a totally enormous house, I'm going to have a huge library with one of those sliding ladder thingies. And a Lego room.

LittleSis bought me a bag years ago that has the Jorge Luis Borges quote on it "I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library".

We have a concrete pad laid for the shed to sit on. And I need to get up again because if I sit down for too long I strongly suspect that I won't get up again without a winch.

I have just renewed all my overdue library books. Oops.

Awww - children playing outside in garden - Inconvenient Cat has gone to join them. Because there's nothing that a game of football needs more than a large cat to deposit himself in the middle of it. i think he will get more attention than he wanted if the ball get kicked in the wrong direction.

Been out to mother's and had a natter with visiting LittleSis, then called at McDs for DS2. Now watching Lego Masters that was on a few days ago. Every time someone drops a piece they've built and it breaks, I can't help but make a noise

LittleSis asked if I'd be watching Cuckoo's Calling. She said from the trailers she's seen, and being a fan of the books (and a huge JK Rowling fan), she thinks "the actor playing Strike has completely nailed it"

Oh - we recorded Lego Masters, haven't watched it yet though. Was it good?

I am sitting on the chair with Very Good Posture because if I slump I will never be able to move again. We are also never doing a concrete pad again, we will pay for someone else to do one if we need to.

Lego Masters was very good. DS2 watched and paid attention all the way through and he enjoyed it. Even said he's looking forward to the next episode.
