Morning wenches.

Oooo they look really cross - thanks Helen!

And you're right, when wenches rule the world from our tav kingdom, there'll be no working for us.

Is it the weekend yet? Is it a Strike time?

Evening wenches.

Happy You Day Wicked! Grin Hope you enjoyed the Chinese food. I would quite like to eat lovely Chinese food but I am currently Bloaty McBloaterson of Bloatsville in the County of ThoseButtonsOnMyShirtCanOnlyTakeSoMuch.

Mmm very nice chinese buffet Smile

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 23/08/2017 18:17

Grin Letus

LetUsPrey · 23/08/2017 19:55

Lord but I love a Chinese buffet.

Ordered some new work shirts today from M&S (the thrillz). I'll tell my mum that she's "bought" them for me as I'm using the money she gave me for my birthday. She'll like that Smile

I need to do some exercise. Exerciseclass isn't usually on for at least some of the school holidays and I think we're getting a bit bored of it. Trying to find something else though that's relatively close by, that we (me and BestFriend) will both enjoy that's on a night convenient for us both isn't easy. Or I can just exercise by walking to the kitchen for a packet of crisps.

Evening wenches.

Is it Sunday yet? Actually it's a very weird week here. We didn't have DGS on Monday and Tuesday, DH is playing golf on the wrong days, we have a strange car in the garage, ours having been taken away Sad and DD and her hubby came round this afternoon when they are normally at work. I don't know what goddam day it is, my body clock is telling me it's Saturday. Confused

Anyway, we've got nothing to watch tonight. I've got no idea what Quacks is, but as it's recommended I'll have a look.

Glad you enjoyed your Chinese buffet WW.

ApricotCrush · 23/08/2017 20:12

LetUs I used to do that when my Mum gave me money for my birthday, she liked to kow what she'd bought me. If it was cash I had to spend those exact notes. Smile

I don't do any exercise. I really should because I feel that I'm gradually seizing up. Hmm

ApricotCrush · 23/08/2017 20:13

KNOW ffs!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/08/2017 20:17

Evening. I have been doing stuff (Not being mysterious, I just can't remember what I've been up to, and can't be arsed trying to actually remember what I've been doing either.

I did go swimming with DS, so that's my exercise for the day. No sledgehammers involved today either.

FFS - DS calling from the other room. Bless his cotton socks, etc.

LetUsPrey · 23/08/2017 20:49

Smile Apricot - I like it when you can relate something in that way IYKWIM. When we bought this house my parents very kindly gave us a bit of money which was enough to buy our fireplace and fire. So it reminds me of them (not that I need reminding Grin) when I look at it. And yes, before online shopping, I liked to use the actual notes to buy stuff. In fact, I still put them in a separate part of my purse.

Helen - you almost sound disappointed at the lack of sledgehammer action Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/08/2017 21:06

I think my back and shoulders are quite pleased about the lack of sledgehammers Smile I may have to take on chopping the wood instead - that's much harder, but I could do a couple of logs a night... and I'm not bothered by the hornets' nest by the logpile (DH is, having been stung by one in the past) so that could be a win-win type thing.

Strike news - was this interview posted by apricot already, or did I get it off twitter?
www.mugglenet.com/2017/08/tom-burke-talks-cormoran-strike-bbc-one/
Really long, good one - you have to expand the page (click a button) to get the full transcript, but def. worth a read.

Mince to tea tonight, wicked's Chinese buffet sounds much nicer, though shouldn't it be meatballs in light of that Facebook post about it being national meatball day?

LetUsPrey · 23/08/2017 21:20

DH is the same! I have to chase any bees or wasps outside as DH was stung when he was younger.

When I think of chopping wood, I think of this clip

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 23/08/2017 21:27

We didn't find any meatball buffet sadly Sad

FancyFancy · 23/08/2017 21:40

I can quite see why letus

I am doing an online shop

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/08/2017 22:02

Have you bought an axe yet Fancy - does it come with a free HBF to wield it?

In other Strike news. TBOnline has discovered all the photos taken for the Sunday times shoot st times.newsprints.co.uk/search/scu/p/u/258127/1/tom%20burke - there's about 5 pages of them Shock Grin and there is much FAF to be admired...

Plus, as Keats says, it is the Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness... What Keats completely fails to mention in his Ode to Autumn is that it is also the season of ridiculously huge sodding spiders moving into the house and scuttling around making me jump. I mean, FFS. We have put a HUGE one out every day for the past 3-4 days. I'm not sure it's not the same one keeps coming back in. Tonight I have taken it over the road and lobbed it in the neighbour's hedge. That'll learn it.

Well search as I might helen, Ocado stock neither axes nor hbfs. I am not impressed

Still, order has been made, now trudging through some other paperwork

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/08/2017 22:31

FFS Ocado buyers - give yourselves a good talking to and stock something useful and FAF.

LetUsPrey · 23/08/2017 22:39

Hang on, isn't the thing with Harrods that you can buy anything there?

LetUsPrey · 23/08/2017 22:48

We've found DS1's level. We're watching Paul and he's actually properly laughing Grin

FancyFancy · 23/08/2017 23:03

Good point letus

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/08/2017 23:03
