BBC One's Strike won in the 9PM slot with 5.6 million viewers as it concluded its two part mini-series, level with last week's first episode. From here.

FancyFancy · 18/09/2017 15:47

Afternoon - is it safe to come back in or are there still mentions of premature festive preparations?

Badders08 · 18/09/2017 15:49

You call it premature
I call it organised
😁

FancyFancy · 18/09/2017 15:54

But I have DD's birthday to deal with first. And my Christmas plans (such as they were) have already been bloody well changed

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 18/09/2017 16:05

aims death star Glitterball at unseasonal things
No festivites here - just FAF and HBFs. And NO spiders either

I have done bugger all work. I have a timesheet showing minutes worth of activity here and there. FFAS.

Fish finger sanwich, cake and Tom Burke, you're so nice wenches Smile

I was a but disappointed about The Silkworm, it needed another episode!

JaneElk · 18/09/2017 20:43

Badders can you tell me what MlleElk and BabyElk want for Christmas please...? I'll happily buy it all and wrap it now if I could be certain they wouldn't change their minds forty million times between now and Dec 25th. So far they're being very coy.....MlleElk wants "everything", or "I don't need to tell you, I'm just need to tell Santa", BabyElk just wants to be a superhero Hmm

FancyFancy · 18/09/2017 20:51

Evening

Thank you for the JP dancing vid letus - I may have spent a few blissful minutes imaging being twirled around in his arms and the rest Grin

DS is looking a bit better thanks. An afternoon nap and some snacks have helped immensely. He has also been rather lovely all day. Nothing like feeling shitty to make you appreciate your mother......

LetUsPrey · 18/09/2017 21:07

Pleased to hear that DS is feeling on the mend Fancy.

FriendAtWork who has fallen for TB was discussing Silkworm with me. She really enjoyed it and practically died from happiness and swooning at the kiss on the hand at the end. I'm steering her towards Musketeers Grin

DS1 wants "dunno, money".

Am knackered after exerciseclass. I need a firm rub down from a few HBFs. Just running that through in my mind.... Gosh, it's suddenly gone rather warm

FancyFancy · 18/09/2017 21:12

How fab if Aramis were to be dangling outside your window......

Time for me to crack on with the ironing & last night's Silkworm.

LetUsPrey · 18/09/2017 21:24

nope, nothing

Although the only window he'd really be able to get in would be DS1's and I think I'd have quite a lot of questions to answer Grin

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 18/09/2017 21:32

Yeees - that would be awkward Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 18/09/2017 21:38

Simples - BabyElk needs dressing out costumes then Grin

I am having an early night. Have already been pretty much asleep with DS a bedtime.

FancyFancy · 18/09/2017 21:54

Night helen

LetUsPrey · 18/09/2017 22:47

Night Helen

Another episode of Lucifer done. Apparently the music used in the programme references the devil, god, hell, etc. The one I'd been waiting for, Devil Inside by INXS, was in tonight's episode. I managed to stop myself sniggering and saying "ooo yes please" Grin

Now watching the rest of Electric Dreams: The Hood Maker. It's really, really good.

Just finished Silkworm - agree the ending did seem rushed. So did she write a whole new version of the book just to leave out the limp dick anecdote? Seems like an awful lot of effort, but maybe I missed a bit? To answer your question madame, I frequently don't entirely follow these sorts of dramas - but I'm usually pootling around on teh interent/ironing/texting etc so whether it's them or me not concentrating, I'm not sure Confused

LetUsPrey · 19/09/2017 08:03

Morning wenches.

Foggy here. Urgh.

I'll be staying in the hayloft if anywench wants me. I have some of that lovely cake and crumble from Badderz so I'm set for the day.

Morning, yet another change to my working days this week - ought to get dressed & go to the office. Laters.....

ApricotCrush · 19/09/2017 11:54

Morning. Started off foggy here too, but is sunny now.

Glad FancyDS is feeling better.

TB is at #42 in the Radio Times Annual TV Power List only a few places below Aiden, Tom Hardy and Sam Heughan and beating Rufus Sewell, Peter Capaldi and surprisingly Benedict. Kit Harington is at #11, not surprisingly.

The first episode of The Silkworm came in at #3 in the list of the BBC's top shows for the week ending 10th September, being beaten by Strictly and Dr Foster.

I'm going to finish reading the book now to try and make some sense of it. Confused

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 19/09/2017 13:16

Love that BabyElk just wants to be a superhero Grin

Glad that DS feeling better Fancy Smile

Have you started on the Christmas cards yet Bads?

ApricotCrush · 19/09/2017 13:36

Don't encourage her. Wink

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/09/2017 18:47

pfft and at Radio Times list due to no pictures of FAF except Rufus Sewell and Kit Harrington.

Am back from work, and I can't be arsed with much at all. I will be under Athos if anyone is looking for me...
