Good idéa Letus, but if Athos is busy which HBF should assist me?

LetUsPrey · 05/08/2017 20:23

How about Dolokhov?

Works for me Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 05/08/2017 20:45

He can help me dust the kitchen table Wink

LetUsPrey · 05/08/2017 21:07

Starting with clearing off all the crockery and cutlery first?

Just watched the men's 100m final. Not exactly thrilled with the result.

I shall need several HBFs to cheer me up tonight. You're under starter's orders men... Grin

LetUsPrey · 05/08/2017 22:03

To cheer myself up I'm watching some of the third Hobbit film. Kili, Thranduil. It's a start.

Thanks for the reminder Letus, don't want a salad fork ending up somewhere unpleasant Grin

LetUsPrey · 05/08/2017 22:17

A steak knife could be similarly unpleasant

We're on Poldark now (I wish). Trying to catch up before tomorrow's final episode.

Fräsan is the cutest thing, ever since she was a kitten she drags her toy mouse up the stairs when it's bed time while making little meowing/purring noices, and she still does it! Adorable Smile

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/08/2017 22:28

at Dolokhov helping with housework.

DS still rough as, unfortunately Sad have been on emergency drug run so we can double dose of ibuprofen and calpol Sad

Twitter tells me that...

  1. Operation Smile are selling tickets already Shock for £45 on Thursday 7th December 2017
    WTAF it's only August FFS....

  2. Holly Grainer was talking about Strike on Chris Evans breakfast show yesterday morning - apparently it's 2:20 in...

.
Oh look - I forgot to actually post this. Business as usual then...

LetUsPrey · 05/08/2017 23:50

Poor MiniHelen Sad. Here's hoping for a good night's sleep for him.

Is there a date for Strike yet?

Poldark was very good although I could do without the lingering scenic shots. Looking forward to tomorrow's and Ross had better get his top off what with it being the last episode in this series

I shall catch up with Outlander tomorrow, or at least watch one of them.

I am safely back home, so you can all stop spreading the rumour that I was the streaker at the athletics tonight

Have had a fab evening, with the added excitement of being in the same venue as letusSis Grin. Shame about Bolt - especially as he lost to Gatlin, the crowd roundly booed him at every opportunity.

Don't worry ww, FancyCat has enough love for everyone who looks like they may slip her a biscuit

I hope your head isn't too sore apricot Grin

LetUsPrey · 06/08/2017 09:19

Morning wenches.

at you being the streaker Fancy! Not unless FancyMan is in for a big shock when he gets back Grin. It wouldn't surprise me at all if, in a stadium of thousands, you had ended up next to LittleSis.

Hope MiniHelen is feeling better this morning.

Squeeee at Frasan's bedtime routine!

I'm guessing Athos moved on to other areas to massage for Apricot after hopefully relieving her headache

Last Poldark tonight. It all looked very fighty in the trailer.

Fucksake was about to get in the shower earlier when I tried to brush off what I thought was a piece of fluff from my shin. Turned out to be some kind of insect thing that was latched on to my leg, sucking my blood! Pulled it off but then had to tweeze bits out. Fucker. Washed thoroughly and applied savlon. Seems okay. It's not swelling up or anything.

Dropped DS1 off at sportingactivity and then went into supermarket. Two of the local rugby league team's players were coming out as I went in. They're er... they're big blokes aren't they? I managed to keep the gawping to a minimum Grin

And now a Brew in peace and part of an episode of Outlander.

Morning

Good self restraint there letus Grin

Rasmus Magi didn't start in the hurdles this morning

ApricotCrush · 06/08/2017 12:10

Morning!

Head's fine thanks, Athos did the trick Grin

Strike isn't on next week, there is Athletics in Poldark's slot. I'm still thinking the 20th. But who knows?

ApricotCrush · 06/08/2017 12:12

Eek at blood sucking thing LetUs. Shock

LetUsPrey · 06/08/2017 13:33

Leg still there so that's good.

I am the very model of restraint

Is Magi meant to be competing at these championships?

Blardy hell at EvilVicar in real life!

Have watched ep5 of Outlander. Love the sound of the Gaelic language.

Fucksake (again). Just been bringing the washing in and have gone over on my ankle, DS2 came rushing to my assistance and got DS1 who was shouting from his room "what?" DS1 helped me in. It doesn't seem swollen however and I've managed to drive to my mum's. Fucking hurts though. Clearly I need to stay in the tav and not move,

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 06/08/2017 15:03

Afternoon wenches Smile

I confused shin with chin at a moment there Letus, ouchy at both blood sucking insect and your ankle Confused
I also fell today and hurt my knee on a stone stair, got a nice big bruise but otherwise I'm ok.

LetUsPrey · 06/08/2017 15:39

Not safe for wenches to be out today obviously

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/08/2017 19:41

Evening all. I am home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! car packed and unpacked, washing done, tea cooked for DS

Apologies to Chateau Fancy for the 4am vomit comet Confused Envy Blush DS is still dosed up on calpol etc, but feeling much better, and it didn't disrupt the day's activities too much (apart from my sleep from 3am - 5:30am, and Fancy and DH's at 4am)

Shock at LetUs's injuries. if it was a tick, watch out for Lymes disease from it - I've never got it but I know family who have and it's not nice if you don't catch it early.

MN is doing that irritating reloading thing and freezing while I type,
so I'm going to call it quits for now. Back later....

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/08/2017 20:01

And another thing... 'The Cuckoo's Calling' is being re-issued with a new cover for the TV series

There's a bts video from W&P here (I haven't watched it - assume it will play ok)

LetUsPrey · 06/08/2017 20:08

Oh poor MiniHelen. Hope you can get some rest.

Am keeping an eye on the bite and have just read the NHS site about ticks and stuff. Am seeing the nurse at the surgery on Tuesday (asthma check up) so I'll ask her to look at it if it's not healing.
