Spent all day well, nearly trying to get a hotel for upcoming trip to London. All the close cheapish ones are fully booked, can't think why?

Have reached our destination. Have had rain on and off but it didn't spoil the garden party thing they had going on. DS2 won loads of little prizes and even DS1 had a go at a few things! Lots of soggy people but no rain-soaked HBFs.

Urgh. I am developing a summer cold - one of those horrible hot and tickly throat things. So all I want to do is curl up in bed and sleep. Oh joy. We had a nice time in Comtess-land yesterday though, and managed to be occupied undercover during all the torrential downpours, so stayed dry.

I'm supposed to be having DGS today, but DD has been sick since Saturday night so I haven't got him. She went out with some mates and thinks she ate something dodgy although alcohol may also be involved. I've used the time to get some jobs done.

WW the hotel is the same one we stayed in when we had the big wench meet-up 2 and a half years go.

Been swimming today. DS2 went on the water slide about a bazillion times. He'd been unsure previous visits and wouldn't do it but there was no stopping him today . I went down it loads too. You made have heard the "wheeeeeeeeeeeee"s. Been to Tesco and then had quite possibly the most delicious ice cream ever. Apple pie flavour. Mmmmmm.

I did get out of the shower early enough to go out with DD for the day - we were quite cultural

helen is in a secret location with no wi-fi - she is bearing up as well as she can, but I'm hoping she's packed plenty of valium....

Apparently all you need to do to have a very full on sexytimes dream is to look at a tiny picture of someone off the telly, think "oh is that suchabody?" (no it wasn't) and away you go. Tom Sturridge was the HF in question. If he's anything like that in real life, then Sienna Miller (his ex) was a very lucky woman. And he's gorgeous and everything but why him?! Not Santi, not the Batch, not Aidan, not any of them!
