Soz, have been a bit tired lately & adjusting to the (lack of) routine of the holidays. Back to work today, which is almost a relief!

LetUsPrey · 26/07/2017 09:34

Fancy!

Speaking of relief

Ah, yes, Athos did a good job consoling me Grin
Why is it your job to find a pair of swim shorts Letus? Hmm When is your vacation and where are you off to?

LetUsPrey · 26/07/2017 18:08

Evening wenches. Pleased to hear Athos was up to the task Wicked.

Swim shorts and other clothes for DC is up to me as apparently DH is incapable of buying clothes for anyone but himself without express instructions. The odd occasion he has bought the DC something, he thinks it's the most amazing achievement ever. To be fair, he's generally fab at most things, but DC's clothes - nope.

We go this Saturday. Just heading up north to the land of Jamie Fraser - I shall keep my eyes peeled Grin

ApricotCrush · 26/07/2017 18:29

Evening all.

Oh no, I wouldn't have wanted DH to buy clothes for the DC. That was my department. Hope you have a great time in the land of Jamie. We used to have a timeshare up there, but only went once. It was for a week in November, so we used to exchange it for somewhere warm and sunny in the summer.

I've been doing a spot of gardening in the rain today. Hmm It's amazing how bin day motivates you.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 26/07/2017 18:50

Evening.
Misread Fancy's post about routine, and my brain went off down the gymnastics route... Grin

We also need to do holiday shopping stuff, but since I've barely thought about it, there is nothing on it as yet, apart from the vague idea that we need snacks for travelling, and need to take a sleeping bag for DS. Am v. disorganised.

LetUsPrey · 26/07/2017 19:00

Gardening in the rain? Hope it wasn't raining like we had up here. You'd have been washed away!

DS2 has declared himself in charge of snacks for the journey Grin. He's taking it very seriously. If you've not got your requests in for Friday, you get nothing.

TB KLAXON! I know you've all seen it before but the Poirot episode The Clocks is starting on ITV Encore right now!

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 26/07/2017 19:13

He's quite dishy in his uniform...

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 26/07/2017 19:19

It's also on Encore +1 starting at 8pm, because I don't think i could follow a Poirot without having seen that start Confused And I've never seen it, so ta muchly for the heads-up.

at DS2 in charge of snacks Grin

ApricotCrush · 26/07/2017 19:56

I've seen it and would happily watch it again, but Encore isn't on Virgin Media. Bastards! Angry

LetUsPrey · 26/07/2017 20:07

TB is jolly lovely in this

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 26/07/2017 20:28

Excellent LetUs - I shall look forward to watching Grin
Oh well Apricot, you have seen it before.... small teeny-tiny-miniscule consolation. Sad

I am meant to be booking accommodation/train for work trip, not mucking about on Mn....
I even have my credit card here ready....

LetUsPrey · 26/07/2017 21:01

Hope you've got something booked Helen

He does romantic very well, without it descending into icky mawkishness.

Just realised DS2 has been upstairs on the iPad for ages. Better go and get him to bed. Whoops.

ApricotCrush · 26/07/2017 21:06

Oh, it's on Will save for another time. Smile

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 26/07/2017 21:41

Haven't booked a thing - accommodation check-in times stop before my train gets in, so I have to phone them first to check about their policies...

FancyFancy · 26/07/2017 22:02

Evening.

Am supposed to be doing an on-line grocery order Hmm. Instead, am farting around on teh internet & drinking pink.
Properly chuckled at apricot's motivation being bin day Grin

Properly confused as to what helen thought I was referring to!

I will need an update on the state of snacks on your journey letus - this is serious business.

LetUsPrey · 26/07/2017 22:46

Something to look forward to Apricot!

I bet Athos has got a bed for you Helen

Get some biscuit spread ordered Fancy. I'm thinking jelly babies for snacks. Possibly some crisps.

Have watched Poldark. All caught up now. Ross is an idiot. George is a bastard. The vicar is repulsive. And I am not happy that the only glimpse of Ross's chest was when he was snuggled up in bed about next week's trailer Angry

it was the 'lack of holiday routine' comment Fancy

Twitter says that Maimie is also involved in a crowdfunded short film about mental health

My car's in the garage tomorrow, there will be other boring domestic tedium. In an attempt to control my excitement at the prospect, I'm going to head for the hayloft...

Jelly babies are bleurghhhhhhh, bit like the vicar in Poldark really. Crisps are always good - especially Nice 'n Spicy Nik Naks

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 26/07/2017 22:58

hurrah!! Grin

laters...

LetUsPrey · 26/07/2017 23:02

Noooo lovely jelly babies! And possibly a bag of Haribo. I'm into Frazzles at the moment or one of those "sharing" (whatever that is) bags of onion rings. Or beefy Monster Munch.

We're going to miss Sunday's Poldark, although it'll be recorded. There's no way DS2 will be in bed and asleep for 9 and the TV's fairly basic because obviously we're not supposed to be there to watch TV. Didn't stop me keeping an eye on the swimming at the 2012 Olympics Grin

Morning wenches. No Brew yet. Need Brew. Back in a bit.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 27/07/2017 08:11

Haribo? Would they be Tangfastics - oh dear god I love them. And Monster Munch

Were you keeping an eye on teh swimming, or the swimmers, letus? Wink
