Is it something DS would want to go to? If so, can you take him and leave MrHelen to do some packing, or is that unlikely times a billion?

DS might be having a sleepover...
at the idea of MrH packing. I mean, he does his own packing perfectly well. But he's clueless about packing for DS (because I always do it and so he's never had the chance to get a clue about it, iyswim?)

Hello! We had some thunder earlier and I thought of Fancy. Didn't come to anything though. The sun's out now.

DH woke me up this morning with a WhatsApp video call thingy from the caravan. God knows what I looked like. DS and his GF and the kids are going there on Monday, and I like to make beds up when other people are going but as I wasn't there DH had to do it before he left. I'd given him two pages of instructions and he wanted me to check everything was alright. I sometimes think I'm running a hotel.

I then spent the whole morning slight exaggeration defrosting the freezer. I really should do it more often. My back's killing me now.

When are you going away Helen? We have to make arrangements to look after your livestock.

Evening wenches. Similar situation re packing here, although it's fairly simple for this type of holiday. Jeans, t shirts, hoodies, coats, walking boots, umbrella, ark......

I bet you looked better than I do in that situation Apricot. I could, as they say round these parts, "fritten a police 'orse". Athos will be round later to help with your back. I think he's serving up some Pimms (and other stuff) for Wicked.

I could take the chickens with me. They'll still have plenty of space and we could do with the milk.

Yeah, I can't even manage it for the one stopover, never mind multiple ones.

See this is where it all differs from a holiday with an HBF. No stopovers, no packing because no clothes, and multiples of an entirely different nature.

Oh yes please... I like the sound of that holiday.

Been wondering what to watch tonight with DH and DS1 as we're up to date with NCIS and Poldark, and they've both seen all series of Musketeers and won't rewatch, idiots. It occurred to me that DS1 hasn't seen series 1 of Poldark, which I happen to have on DVD. I really think it would help give him a deeper understanding of events which isn't actually needed in any way

We have been watching a thunderstorm! (Soz fancy) and now I should be doing things in a productive and useful sort of way. Am I? Am I heck.

Actually, I will need clothes on my HBF holiday, so he can take me out for romantic meals and suchlike. Before we get rid of the clothes for other nefarious and enjoyable activities...

We're going to order in, so perhaps just a robe to wear when the food's delivered

DH has thwarted my cunning plan. We're going to watch Jason Bourne instead.

Ah well - could be worse.
We have cricket on. No HBF potential at all as far as I can tell.
