Morning all. Have RBNR

Tired, bit brain dead.

Hope apricot's tooth gets better asap; LOL at wench version of 'fully serviced'; um... Yes - I can attest that Fancy is indeed evangelical about cheese (I wouldn't know about gimp masks and lube though Hmm ). I considered writing a haiku in honour of Comtess's new-found minimalism, but see above about tired and brain-dead.

Thoroughly recommend 'Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead' currently on at Old Vic (or in the local cinema as part of NT live, which was what I saw) was very good. They are also going to have Yerma on NT live, which is good because I really wanted to see last year, but it was sold out. I think this is a good thing, but the other hand, not sure I want to go and pay to be emotionally pummeled by a play about infertility Confused

And now I need to work when I'd really rather be back in bed with Athos asleep.

Badders123 · 21/04/2017 12:03

Comtess!

Serviced appartments? God, that would be bloody awesome. But I think we all know I would do a pre clean before the cleaners arrived 😂🙄
Had my hair done.
Picked up mums meds
Just waiting for Dh to get home then we are off car shopping....this may not end well....

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/04/2017 12:47

Comtess dislikes mess
She has resolved to have less
But more HBFs

Comtess wants less 'stuff'
Apart from HBFs (obvs)
All else is excess

There once was a wench called Comtess
Whose house was a bit of a mess**
So she went off to work
Shagging Tom Burke
So she moved to a place
With even less space
And now she couldn't care less

**i.e. full of stuff, including DH and DCs

MadamedeChevreuse · 21/04/2017 14:52

Lovely poems helen Grin

comtesse glad you are all having a nice luxury break. Too right about Supreme Dalek. Considering emigration to Scotland if she gets a big majority cos they'll prob leave the UK but join the EU in that event.

Her election slogan really should be, in a nod to 1997 Labour's, "Things will only get worse [if you vote for me]".

Or perhaps "[Think this is bad?] You aint seen nothin yet."

Off work with big migraine. Have been binge watching tv. HAVE FINISHED S4 OF ELEMENTARY aaaaaaahhhhhhgghgg Shock Shock

When will s5 be available to buy on Amazon????

Badders123 · 21/04/2017 15:54

Madame
You could always look on Amazon for a now tv bundle offer...I got 6 months plus box for £18...
But don't let me sway you.....
I'm in a temper
Dh is away tomorrow and I'm feeling like crap
Hope I can get through the week ok
Sigh

Badders123 · 21/04/2017 15:55

Madame - I keep getting hemi plegic migraines at my TOTM
I'm going to the Dr about them next week - do you have any words of wisdom?

Badders123 · 21/04/2017 16:01

Oh!
Versailles is back on tonight!

ApricotCrush · 21/04/2017 16:01

Afternoon.

Yay for FB Bads. I never post anything on mine but belong to several groups, although I rarely post on them either. Hmm

Aw, those poems are beautiful Helen. Grin

So, I went back to the dentist and he's given me some prescription toothpaste, although I'm getting a bit pessimistic about it. I think I'll end up with a root canal or ask him to take the fucking thing out.

Hope migraine eases soon Madame.

Versailles tonight. Smile

ApricotCrush · 21/04/2017 16:02

X-post Bads. Grin

MadamedeChevreuse · 21/04/2017 16:48

Tbh bads Im afraid I have no effing clue and neither does anyone else I dont think.

I self diagnosed taking 75mg aspirin and vit b supplement every morning about 3 months ago. It may have made the migraines a bit less severe, but no less frequent tbh. I also get them around period and also ovulation. though today's is chocolate related I suspect

Oh and if you find yourself a bit, ahem, squitty, around your period and/or migraines, try the aspirin and vit b. It has helped me on that front definitely.

Last time I went to the migraine clinic at the local hosp they said I could ask my gp about trying Candesartan as a preventative (a type of beta blocker). As it's one of the few preventatives Ive not tried, Im going to give that a go. Tbh Im utterly sick of having my life dominated and ruined by the fucking things. I feel like and am about as active as an old woman most of the time.

MadamedeChevreuse · 21/04/2017 16:51

Anyway heigh ho. Going to get my ass up and do a bit of interview prep for my interview next week. It's the second round, on weds. There's a lovely long task I have to do as well as the actual prep. Hmm

MadamedeChevreuse · 21/04/2017 16:54

I would also recommend cutting down / out caffeine and refined sugar. I have tried that and it may help a bit, esp with avoiding morning wakeup migraines, which I have mostly every morning. But it's a fucking arse and I always fall off the wagon. Cos guess what I crave most when I have a headache - sweet tea.

MadamedeChevreuse · 21/04/2017 16:55

Oh and do regular light exercise. But that's obvs not easy when you have chronic / a migraine, so....

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/04/2017 17:10

JLM has been reading up about migraines and has found a cure. (Physical exercise) So is going to sort you out ---- your migraine for you Madame, with the help of Dr Aramis and... um...

Evening wenches.

Gosh for a short working week that was a long week.

Excellent poetry skills there Helen. Checked for Rosencrantz etc at my local cinema. They're not showing that one. Arses.

Oh Apricot - teeth are such bastards at times. You have my sympathies.

And poor wenches with the horror of migraines Sad

Have Versailles set to record

Badders123 · 21/04/2017 18:07

Sigh
That's what I thought
They are a bitch aren't they?

MadamedeChevreuse · 21/04/2017 18:15

Flowers helen Grin

Yep they are bads. Oh and also get good quality and amount sleep every night and eat regular meals, and eat / go to bed / wake up at the same time. So avoid lie ins - Sad often the cause of "weekend migraine".

Life's really a fucking blast with all this.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/04/2017 18:27

Badders Obvs. Dr Athos will be along to slip you something shortly once he's recovered - soz, but Jon Snow will not be able to help, because he knows nothing. (He thinks cute fluffy things might help, and if not he can use his substantial weapon) On the plus side, since he knows nothing, you can have lots of fun teaching him useful things

Apparently having a shower might help you Madame

I listened to the Far Side of the Moore on the way home from work today - radio 4 drama. The story of how the Sky At Night came to be made - Tom Hollander was amazing as Patrick Moore. It was funny and touching.
