Previous thread is HERE

Five years on from my first treatment, the options have pretty much run out.

Please join us for the rest of the journey. Doom and gloom is absolutely banned. There are still laughs and love to share and celebrate.

Thanks for the explanations BrianCox, I do vaguely remember the Dustbin but it was when I first joined so I was pinging around all over the place but not posting.

Twatting Spade is on my Christmas list Grin

Badders123 · 27/11/2016 18:07

Sorry to hear that zombie
Sending lots of virtual love to you x

Mummylin · 27/11/2016 18:13

I don't have a twat spade but I have an electronic fly catcher bat, will that do ?

Flumplet · 27/11/2016 18:22

Just de-lurking to see how zombie is feeling today.

Hoping that she has found some relief. Sending warm wishes and plenty of gin

TheMagicFarawaySleep · 27/11/2016 18:25

lin - that would be great for here. Anything that shuts the (lovable) bugger up, without resorting to murder Grin.

The Phalanx/DBF team are so welcoming. I proffer vats of gin, wine and plentiful Brew and Cake to say thank you. And Flowers to lovely Zombie.

Hope you're feeling a bit better today Zombie and that the Zombiecats are cheering you up. It can't be long now until Zombielad and Zombielass arrive. What a fantastic early Xmas present 🎁

Mummylin · 27/11/2016 19:28

My Dh also snores and there have been many times when I actually wanted to suffocate him with the pillow. ! He is still here at the moment Grin

IamtheZombie · 27/11/2016 21:00

Evening all. Thank you and bless your little cotton socks for all of your good wishes.

Today has been better. In addition to my normal dose, I took a bowel blasting dose of Movicol yesterday morning and it has moved mountains which has been a huge relief. I'm going to try a double dose every morning and a single dose at night to see if that can keep things moving. I can easily function with a certain level of discomfort and if I can keep the dreaded constipation at bay, I think I'll be OK.

I do understand what you say about it being time to get some help in. I'm coming to the same conclusion myself. I will start investigating options. And I'm going to start doing most of my grocery shopping on-line.

Thank you again.

Glad to hear that you have managed a bit better today Zombie, what a relief in more ways than one Smile
Good call about the internet deliveries. I use Ocado and Sainsburys and am pleased with both of them.

If Ocado deliver to your area they have a huge wide range of items, so it's always worth checking them if you need some obscure thing, before you schlep all over town hunting for it.

Susiesoap7 · 27/11/2016 21:32

Glad to hear from you, and you are a little better! Have you tried movicol and mushy peas! That might be a blast off!!! Think of us as a massive, fluffy, squashy cushion that you can lean on xx 😘😘

BakeOffBiscuits · 27/11/2016 21:34

Pleased to hear you've had a better day Zombie!

Wolfiefan · 27/11/2016 21:34

Help sounds good. I'm so glad today has been better. I'm no practical help at all but I can provide gorgeous puppy pictures by the end of the week. Squeeeeee! Grin

iklboo · 27/11/2016 21:36

So glad to hear you're feeling a bit better Zombie - it must be a relief. I will advise you NOT to try the Slimming World mushy pea curry. Just.....no. Stick to the movicol, I think.

Lin - here's your next instalment of the Strictly Saga (and anyone else who would like to read it, of course)

Strictly Week Ten - who left the dancing den?

Badders123 · 27/11/2016 21:37

Great news on the...er...movement Wink
Constipation is surprisingly painful isn't it?
Online shopping is the bees knees - I do 95% of my shopping online - it's ace Star
Hope you have a better day tomorrow x

Somerville · 27/11/2016 21:37

Yay for a better day. Smile

And - people still go to supermarkets? Shock I honestly can't remember the last time I was inside one. Shopping gets done in 5 minute bursts on my phone on Ocado and Amazon Prime apps.

wannabestressfree · 27/11/2016 21:39

Sending hugs to zombie as you know I am in similar position except my bowel is like a torrent (they want me to stop drinking) and I am at the beginning of my journey.... going to counselling with smallest tomorrow 'how to prepare your small people' etc.....
It's sucks
And I have a boil under my arm....

Mummylin · 27/11/2016 22:18

Glad to see that things have shifted Zombie. It's a horrible thing to put up with besides everything else. Good idea to take movicol as you have said, hopefully that will help you avoid a recurrence.

Flumplet · 27/11/2016 22:23

Good stuff - pleased to hear it!

MOIST · 27/11/2016 22:27

Zombie. I have followed from afar under many names.

OrlandaFuriosa · 27/11/2016 22:34

Zombie and Wannabe, great, movicol and faith can move mountains..

Please use your friends as well as professionals. Get one of your bossiest friends to sort out a rota, eg mopping the floor, doing the Friday oh god I forgot to put this on the Tesco delivery shop, or the receiving delivery, picking up meds, pick up the kids, be on stand by. They'll be delighted to support, on a rota so they can plan ahead , and do something for you. It's a privilege. And they can catch a glimpse of you without feeling like an intruder whom you have to put up with for hours...Honestly. Work on your delegation skills...

OrlandaFuriosa · 27/11/2016 22:36

Save, wannabe, that you of course don't want the landslide..whoops, sorry..

HerRoyalFattyness · 27/11/2016 22:38

Fab news zombie
wolfie puppies?!

FunnysInLaJardin · 27/11/2016 22:47

Hi Zombie, I don't post much these days but saw your post and felt compelled to add my support. Sorry for all the shit. Thinking of you xxx

BrianCoxWithBellsOn · 27/11/2016 23:17

I'm so sorry to have just come onto the thread and verbal diarrhoea'd all over it. Zombie you are foremost in my thoughts, I just did a "Brian" and zoned out whilst typing.

I think I need help...or at the very least a refresher on Forum etiquette "must no me-rail" x10000 ..! Grin

I am glad you're moving , bowel-wise. I hope you are more settled this evening Flowers

BrianCoxWithBellsOn · 27/11/2016 23:21

Re the Amazon online shopping.

I did it for the first time last week. I had D&V bug but needed supplies. Decided to do a bulk-buy of cleaning essentials. DP found it highly amusing that amongst my little spending spree of Dettol, Ariel and dog food was a 6x12 pack of Andrex loo roll. I must have had a one track mind at the time!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 28/11/2016 03:22

Brian I for one enjoyed your me-railing and learned something too. Smile
