Five years on from my first treatment, the options have pretty much run out.

Please join us for the rest of the journey. Doom and gloom is absolutely banned. There are still laughs and love to share and celebrate.

Oh Zombie, I second (or third, is it?) the suggestion to think about it being time for you to perhaps have a minion to do your bidding.

Surely it's the one time you are allowed to have your own personal slave (do they do fit topless bloke ones proffering gin?).

I have no news today. Except DH is also snoring so can you send the twat spade (or shovel, I'm Yorkshire ) over here please? Ta muchly!

I second ( third or forth ) the advice to have some help to ease things for yourself. Gentle hugs so no bits fall off .

I agree with the others that maybe you could do with a bit of help now. It doesn't mean you're any less you, just that the cancer and the treatments and all the travelling to and fro are taking it out of you so it could be a good idea to outsource some things so you aren't wearing yourself out too much.

I heartily agree with BBB. Even some help just a couple of days would be beneficial for you. I hope today will be a better day for you and that any discomfort will be more manageable. I know you don't want any of us fussing, but it's out of concern for you. ( waits to be told off by Zombie ) the Phalanx are concerned !

Oh no Zombie, how awful. I agree with the rest of the phalanx that maybe you could think about getting someone in to do some bits and the heavy lifting for a little while.

Can I also borrow the twatting spade? DH (known for nocturnal weirdness) sat up in the middle of the night and gave someone a tumultuous round of applause

DH's McMillan nurse was invaluable for liaising with other services to get more support in place quickly, and prescriptions. (I know McMillan provision can be patchy and not everyone likes their nurse, however, so please ignore this if it isn't a workable suggestion for you.)

Bewitched a long time ago, in a Dustbin™ (Zombie's previous residence) far, far away, a Puddle™ was formed. The Pure consisted of various MNers who would take turns with the Twatting Spade™ whenever their OH was being a Twat. For less serious brwaches, there was also the Twat Bench™.

My DP fell asleep last night, on a rare sleep over (we live apart) and left me wanting. Twatting Spade required. Then the toddler got in bed and starfished. I ended up in Toddler's bed.

Toddler sent to watch Lego this morning while matters were quickly resolved. Beggars can't be choosers I suppose.

Now I've over shared to a room full of relative strangers....off to eat toast with lashings of lemon curd aka Food of the Gods.

Many moons ago about 4 years you had to type the code 0123 (or something) to get the ™ sign. Few of is where in the know so would use it to show my our superiority over other underlings

Now it's not really that clever but I can't talk to or about Zombie without ™ing to my heart's desire

Agree 100% with BBB that now is the time to get a bit of help. You don't want to be exhausted when ZLad & ZLass arrive......

As everyone says, don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it, and your GP will be the gateway to much of the help available. They can for instance prescribe Complan type food, so that you are getting some sustinance dear Zombie
IIRC you have a GP appointment this week, so do ask them for help.

The down side to Zombie's demise is I will miss her losing bady parts all over.

The upside is I won't trip over random arms anymore.

Just to point out to the latest posters, not only are we known as the Phalanx on this thread but we have another title which is the DBF team. Which is the words Zombie herself had reason to state at one point. The initials stand for Damn, Bugger Fuck !! Anyone who posts on here is an automatic member !!
