Tequila is very special Halo

Allalonenow · 28/11/2016 22:59

It's alright dear B3 don't be upset, I knew that you were just having fun! Smile

Cream Cracker was Thora Hird, the old lady who had fallen and couldn't summon help. I think Julie Walters had the monologue as the crowd scene actress, making the best of things while dreaming of starring for Roman Polanski.

Allalonenow · 28/11/2016 23:00

A friens of mine always eats his worm!!!!!!

LineyReborn · 28/11/2016 23:00

I can do a tequila sunrise with the grenadine tomorrow if I remember to buy some tequila. Is there salt involved or is that margaritas?

There was a Chat thread on here once, years ago, where we discussed a massive pedalo cocktail bar that people could hire and cycle round Brighton. I think there were eight sets of pedals around it. I have no idea if it actually exists or we made it up.

But i think Dear Zombie would like it.

Allalonenow · 28/11/2016 23:04

I've got some tequila you can have Liney I'll send it down the tubes to you.

RockyBird · 28/11/2016 23:05

originalmavis you legend.

I once drank the worm in a bottle of tequila in a drinking game and lost 2 days.

LineyReborn · 28/11/2016 23:09

Ooh lovely, Allalone.

My little bro used to rave on about mescal worms. I think he might have lost two years.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 28/11/2016 23:19

Salt is margaritas.

we had one of those 8 pedal bikes to get home from a country pub jazz festival.

We tried a different method every year; walking, cycling, driving the eight pedal method was the slowest but incurred the least injuries.

RockyBird · 28/11/2016 23:20

Recently discovered Tanqueray 10 on ice with Fever Tree tonic and a slice of orange ... fancy.

Passes some round.

LineyReborn · 28/11/2016 23:22

Don't mind if I do, Rocky. Wine

AnnieAnoniMouse · 28/11/2016 23:29

Zombie. Much love from an old friend in a new name. I haven't been around MN much for a while, but funnily enough I was thinking about your trip over to see ZombieLad the other day. Lovely to hear there's now a ZombieLass too! Take care of you my friend 💐

EverySongbirdSays · 28/11/2016 23:43

Another delurking. This thread just popped up in my Active and I wanted to stop by and say I'm wishing you all the positive thoughts I can Zombie, your posts always make me smile

TheMagicFarawaySleep · 29/11/2016 02:23

Hi everyone. Hope you're feeling better today Zombie. And that the Movicol has done the trick again. Have you tried fibrogel? That's meant to give innards a good blast!

I thought of you last week when i spent some time in London with family over from the States. They are still reeling about Trump - or the orange pumpkin with a dead cat in its head - as we described him Grin. I did point out what his name was slang for in the UK. It cheered them up a bit.

I have now been put on morphine for my own health issues, so can't drink! 😱 The lovely woozy morphine makes up for it a bit though Grin. Hope you too get a nice warm glow from Oramorph Blush

AcrossthePond55 · 29/11/2016 02:35

Did someone say gin? Why thank you, don't mind if I do!

Cheers! Here's to a good BM. Nothing quite like it to raise one's spirits.

Susiesoap7 · 29/11/2016 10:15

Must look up talking heads again while eating pork pies 🌺🌸🌺🌸

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 29/11/2016 10:31

Another delurker - well, more someone who isn't very good at keeping up with watched threads.

Hope you're doing OK today Zombie.

For the pp who was asking about tonic, it's all about the fevertree. Although, amusingly I was in a posho bar the other day and my witty companion asked for slimline tonic - the bar person didn't know what it was. She came back (after a long conflab with other bar person) and said 'oh, did you mean fevertree naturally light?'

So I fear 'gin and slim, ice and a slice' is being lost in the vernacular, it feels like the 70s never happened Sad

SpaceDinosaur · 29/11/2016 10:38

Where the bloody hell were you lonny?!!

My DH is a bar manager.
The team aren't "terrified" of me but they're aware that I massively judge their G&T making skills... and then take them off to train them if they make a shite one.

At 9 months pregnant I'm still getting them to make drinks so I can "test" them Grin the staff, not the drinks any more!

Mummylin · 29/11/2016 10:51

Hope you had a good nights sleep Zombie and that you have no further trouble of stomach. I reccomend prune juice !! Are the zombiecats sleeping a lot alongside you or do they just do their own thing ?
Ikl when is it you are doing your Christmas thing ?

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 29/11/2016 14:28

Edinburgh Space, where Schweppes is becoming an endangered species!

Mind you, it was a good G&T. Eventually.

MixedUpConfusion · 29/11/2016 14:44

Commented on one of your threads a few years back wishing you well and several name changes later, plus I'm just crap in general, I wanted to let you know you're in my thoughts more than ever. I read your last thread you linked to in OP and I'm sorry to see you're in so much pain and having trouble with your tummy. I only wish I lived nearer, sadly I'm several hundred miles away and don't drive. Although if I did live nearer and was around to help out, you'd be back on your feet in no time, if only to get rid of me Grin

Allalonenow · 29/11/2016 17:07

How have you been today Zombie? Hope you've had a good day with plenty of rest through the night.

How's your internet shopping getting on? You'll soon build up a list of favourites to help speed up the process.

B3 Very best of luck with your move tomorrow, hope all goes smoothly for you with no breakages.

ExitPursuedBySpartacus · 29/11/2016 17:10

There you are.

Parks arse.

PacificDogwod · 29/11/2016 17:18

Zombie Thanks

As it says in my kids' primary school's lobby: "Don't count the hours, make the hours count". I think they must have quoted you and did not credit you with the quote, the bandits!!

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 29/11/2016 18:04

Ooh, the Phalanx is growing fast, we need to order more flags and spears, can't remember whose job that was Grin

Zombie I hope improvement has continued and you've enjoyed online shopping. It's bliss when they turn up, make sure they put it all on your kitchen worktops so you don't have to bend too much.
One small annoyance is sometimes you get one or two items in a bag, they don't fill all the bags.
Apparently more than one person "picks" each order.

you can order fresh air too Grin

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 29/11/2016 18:09

Allalone thanks for good wishes, first bit of move is Thursday.

Kitchen installation started today Shock, tambour unit was smashed to bits but new one is being delivered tomorrow.

Carpets down today, very exciting!
