Yy re gadding about. I've been watching a lot of Poirot. I could quite happily gad about in 1930's clothing with hair and make up to match. But only if I was rich.

Love gadding about. Also galavanting. DD and I spent lots of time galavanting with friends.

Letus - you are spot on about the '30's - would love to gad about in that era. But only if rich. And not about to catch any disease requiring antibiotics

Agree about the 30's as long as I would be thin, the clothes from that era suits thin people better. And I would also require modern hygien products

Totally on the being thing front - those dresses were very unforgiving ---- I love a cosy jumper and jeans -

Good point about the fashions, maybe late 30's and into the 40's? Those sharply tailored clothes for women look good on curves. And the men look all manly...

I have frozen at DS1's sportingactivity and it was indoors.

I am still cold so am heading off to the chateau with Aramis where I shall soon be feeling a heck of a lot warmer

My IKEA order is coming later - the new stuff for the conservatory. I am stupidly excited about this

I was galivanting with DH last night.

We went out. without DS. Like normal grown-up people. It was fab. I jumped up and down lots. We can't remember the last time we went out We definitely did about 3 years ago...
Now I need to book tickets to go out again. No-one tell DS - ok?

I like galivanting, and gadding. Traipsing and schlepping imply a bit more effort and slightly less enjoyment to my mind. I can also do a good pootle if I've nothing better to do.

Glad you had a fab time helen - I doubt I'll be doing any gadding or gallivanting this weekend, but I will probably pootle. And hope for some good bank holiday weekend films with hot men in them. Watched Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom earlier in the week. Dodgy sexual politics & he was a twat to Willie, but by fuck Harrison Ford looked good in that. And there was much shirtlessness

I've been busy revising with people and clearing up so that Mr C doesn't think I'm a slattern. he knows I am.

Haven't been on due to busyness. But having read the thread I do need to say that it made me feel very uncomfortable.
