Ooh that's lovely BBB. Our family baby is a boy too. I think your dd and my niece due around the same time. How are they all settling in here ?

FattyNinjaOwl · 07/04/2016 07:52

Awww how lovely BBB

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 07/04/2016 18:04

It's all gone like a dream actually lin, a couple of transactions have gone through as hoped, they've rented a lovely house that's not everyone's cup of tea so is a good price and suits them perfectly.

The re-homed dogs have settled well, amazing really as neither of them had lived in houses before!

The people at the stables have been really helpful and they're already getting more work than predicted.

They are just a little bit further away from us than I'd like, about an hour and a half, bit less if no traffic, but can cope with that.

1.5 hours is but nothing , BBB, - are they west of you, do you have to do the dreaded A27???

Spent most of today on it going to see DH's aunt in hospital.

She will be 102 next week- had managed 'home alone' until now & Ihad so hoped that she would have ended her days there...........

FattyNinjaOwl · 07/04/2016 22:49

magi 102?! Wow!

I need this. 3 poorly DC. Two of which have been taking it in turns to wake up and scream.

Now I'm off to my bed. See you later phalanx!

Allalonenow · 07/04/2016 22:51

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 07/04/2016 23:17

They are west magi it's that bitch bit round the back of Worthing that causes delays all the time, yes A27 all the way.

Sorry to hear about your aunt in law, 102 is pretty amazing. Is there no chance she will be able to go home again?

iklboo · 09/04/2016 12:16

Hello my lovelies. Hope we're all well. Zombie I hope you're rested & in fine fettle?

I love DH. He's just very enthusiastically agreed to us stocking up a gin bar at home (for personal consumption, of course).

We already have Thomas Dakin & Zymurgorium, I've just ordered a bottle of Daffy's and we're popping out later to a naice off licence to buy another brand.

I blame thank the phalanx for rations that got me gin-hooked Grin

Mummylin · 09/04/2016 14:16

I have only just seen the thread about the meet up. Wish I lived nearer ! Zombie hope all is well with you and that you have a great weekend. Lovely and sunny here and washing blowing about wonderfully ! Probably shouldn't of said that as sun just went in !

Fiderer · 09/04/2016 17:00

Wotcha Phalanx

"Thomas Dakin & Zymurgorium" sound like a v exotic double act of magicians.

Hope all's ZombieGood. FidGirl was under instructions to chide me for putting off starting some freelance work. Pot/kettle re homework mind. She instructed me to "Get off Mumsnet" with the caveat "But say hi to Zombie first".

IamtheZombie · 10/04/2016 00:33

Evening / morning dear Phalanx.

Apologies for being a bit quiet this week. I am meeting several solicitors on Wednesday. One re financial issues, one re preparing a new will and one re divorce. I've been filling in questionnaires as well as writing A Brief History of Marriage which turned into War and Peace. Frankly a lot of it has been really tough.

But I'm still reading and thanking the good lord for each and every one of you.

That is really tough Zombie.

I'm sorry to hear that situation with Twunt is still not resolved, I'd assumed he was dust Sad

I hope you can have a relaxing day tomorrow/today.

Sun's out too Smile

Wolfiefan · 10/04/2016 13:51

Been away. What thread about the meet up?!
Will I sob? Did I miss it?!
Sad

IamtheZombie · 10/04/2016 16:47

I can confirm that the FidKids are gorgeous.

Wolfie, it's the London meet up on the 23rd. Thread is in Chat.

Where did spring go? It's blooming cold in Deepest Darkest Shropshire. [shiver]

Just had an hour on Skype with ZombieLad. Happy Zombie.

Wolfiefan · 10/04/2016 20:50

Crap! We have just come back from London. Timed that wrong. Sad

Mummylin · 10/04/2016 21:17

How lovely that you had a nice chat with Zombielad tonight. How is he getting on ? Like you our spring seems to of gone and my legs feel as though I have two ice cubes stuck on the end of them instead of feet !

IamtheZombie · 11/04/2016 12:57

Ouch.

I have a headache. The reason I have a headache is because I have an earache. The reason I have an earache is that my left parotid salivary gland is slightly swollen. I do occasionally get swollen salivary glands due to blockage of the drainage duct. I can't open my mouth very much (taking pills this morning was difficult). I currently have no other symptoms and blockages normally resolve themselves in a few days. I have a busy week.

If I phone the hospital they will probably want to admit me. I don't think this is necessary but they are very, very cautious. I'm therefore extremely reluctant to contact them.

Bugger.

OP posts:
Mummylin · 11/04/2016 13:57

If I remember correctly didn't you have this problem last year ? Do you have to take anything or does it just repair itself. Not nice at all being in pain with earache. I hope you don't have to go in and that it will soon be better, but of course if it dosent improve it may be best to ring the hopital. Did you manage to sleep ok last night despite this problem ?

IamtheZombie · 11/04/2016 14:08

Last year sounds possible, lin. In the past it's always resolved itself within a few (very painful) days. I'm going to see how it goes. If my temperature goes up I will ring the hospital as that could mean it's become infected. No, I didn't sleep well at all. It seemed that every time I moved my head while asleep I'd get a sharp stab of pain. I may go see if a nap would help.

OP posts:
Mummylin · 11/04/2016 14:35

Ouch, it sounds horrible. See how you feel after a nap and if your still in pain I would ring them. It's no fun when you have a constant pain and if the hospital can get rid of this for you it's probably worth it, although I Expect you are sick of bloody hospitals and treatments . Flowers

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 11/04/2016 18:31

Ouch, that sounds horrible Z, good advice from lin.

Hope it clears, we don't want you going into hospital.
