Meet up was lovely, our Zombie looked fabulous, she was wearing the promised red dress and some gorgeous, vintage(?) marquasite(?) earrings.

Hearts had organised a birthday cake and all candles were blown out with one puff

We should make a Phalanx hoolie for the next one - at Somerset House on the terrace by the river.

Of course Zombie was fabulous!!!

I know I was only able to come along for the latter part of the meet up but it was a pleasure to finally be able to put a face to the name BBB, and of course raise a glass with our beloved Zombie

There may be some pics on FB group but I don't remember anyone taking any, I think people only start that at evening meet-ups where we get really silly and dance and stuff because we don't have to stay sensible enough to go home!

I've just realised I think we have become middle class. I get a gin tasting box every month, we get a Gousto box now & again, we have our budding gin bar and NOW we've just had a case of wine delivered from one of those online wine places (thanks to a £60 off voucher from the in laws, but still). We go to Waitrose sometimes - mainly for gin. We eat sushi!!!!

I'll have to hand in me flat cap & whippet.

What strange weather here the last two days, snow, hailstones, random claps of thunder, bright sunshine .
My poor niece was told last week she had a pregnancy rash, it turns out its shingles which is causing her grief. It will cause no harm to the baby.
I am enjoying a few days on my own as my Dh gone away with two of my brothers and 5 of his quiz team to Majorca. They will be back on Friday. They save all the money they win throughout the year and then go off for a few days, the house is so tidy I don't have to hardly do any housework !! That will change on Friday !

Afternoon Phalanx!

Fret ye not, Zombie is fine. I've just been taking it easy and therefore had nothing to report.

My hospital appointments are starting to come through. CT scan is on 5th May at 7.00 pm. Oncologist is on 18th May at 2.30 pm. I'm still waiting for the Echo-cardiogram appointment AND any news at all from the Birmingham hospital.

My best friend is bringing her daughter over from Ireland to attend some sort of fan convention the first weekend in May. BF and I plan to spend as much time together as possible.

I've also heard from my old boss in VA. He's coming to see me for a few days in mid / late August.

My social diary is suddenly looking a bit brighter.

Glad you are okay zombie, I guess the Angels are listening to me! By the way I'm not a religious nut just an ordinary person who also lives alone but my spiritual beliefs keep me plodding along! I think we all have someone looking out for us 🌸🌸🌸

It's a significant birthday for DS today, he is far away, so it's a virtual party for us. How did my baby boy get to this age so quickly?

I have to confess that I do struggle a bit with understanding your Angels.

I guess Zombie's Angels have been asleep for the last 4 years.

I'm really not impressed with mine; they haven't remotely helped with anything and none of it was for me.

They say we all have a guardian angel. But I'm not sure about that. I am not religious either. And if there are such things why do people go through so much shit ? Why aren't the Angels protecting everyone ?
Well it's my last night alone tonight, Dh will be home in the morning. End of my peace and quiet !!

BBB my niece has shingles !!! But it won't affect the baby at all so they say, thank goodness.
