I got that covered B3. We have some lemons left over from me making lemonade with DS, ice is always in.

We have an American fridge freezer. I've dispenser. Just saying! Always have ice.

I bloody need a gin ration after today. You know those days when everyone just pecks at your fecking head? From people at work all day (remember that job I didn't get & that went to a less experienced colleague because she gave 'better' answers at interview? Well she's gone off on Mat leave now, left the job in a total mess & everyone's now looking to me to sort it. For no extra pay ).

Then MIL phoned - she only calls when she's being passive aggressive & doesn't feel like DH is paying her enough attention, even though he spoke to her last Thursday. And of course, it's a subtle reminder from her that it's Mother's Day on Sunday. She was blethering on about FIL (they've been divorced 30 years), what she said to who and who she put in their place at a funeral last week.

I just want 10 minutes peace & quiet .

As a child in a Catholic family I found the whole BVM thing (Blessed Virgin Mary) most confusing. We were meant to revere her but the V word was taboo so I assumed Not Good.

Then "Lamb of God" - that made Sunday lunch a bit odd.

My children are in Ethics class instead of Religion at school here in ForrinLand which I first thought was a good and inclusive thing then was told it was because the Catholic and Protestant teachers refused to have unbaptised children in their classes.

My early morning conclusion as an adult is that it's all still v odd.

Though FidGirl cheers me up, her Ethics teacher (sour & self-opinionated) asked her to tone down her "rantings" about the evils of child labour. Fuck that.

I'm Catholic. I don't believe most all of the crap the bible/church spouts. I only identify as Catholic because I believe in something not quite sure what, and I was baptised Catholic.
I went to a Catholic school. I got told I wasn't allowed to sit the re exam. They asked us to choose a controversial subject to investigate and investigate religious impact. I chose abortion. Apparently that's too controversial...
My children arent baptised either. (DS1 does go to a Catholic school though) I don't see the point. All children are born innocent, even hitler, so why should they be blamed for the sins of the parents? And if I had them christened surely I'm only agreeing that children need to be cleansed because the parents are bad.
Also reckon if I took DD into a church there would be steam coming from the holy water, and there would be a lot of screaming...I don't call her demon for nothing!

I am not religious at all, I just think that as long as you are good to others, that's enough for me. When I was a child me and my brothers used to go to " sunshine corner " once a week, the only reason we went was so we could have a free lolly !

I like the term 'spiritual atheist' and identify with it.
