There's still plenty of room for posts on the current thread but I'm starting this one now as I may be offline for some time.

I've asked iklboo to keep an eye on my FB timeline and to copy / paste the updates here so they should appear as and when.

Make sure you have your chianti and fava beans ready for the 11th!

Zombie - you are the most loved woman on the whole of Mumsnet.

And so you should be.

PHALANX.

Attention.

Sunday night gin ration about to be distributed.

Happy Easter to our Zombie!!

Hope every choc egg has gin in the middle Grin

Wolfiefan · 28/02/2016 19:41

Gin egg? Now you're talking!

magimedi · 28/02/2016 19:56

It's the only way I'd ever eat a creme egg - if the middle had LOTS of gin (& at least 43% proof) Grin

iklboo · 28/02/2016 20:06

Yay gin!!! I have just sent DH a text from our lovely new bed that a gin might be a rather nice idea. And now a phalanx ration too! .

New bed is lovely. Still smells new and not of DH fart. It's about 8 inches higher than old bed. Something I must remember when going for a wee in the night....

Hello Fid - welcome! I know you're not new new, but I don't think I've had the pleasure?

Clinkissimo to Zombie & my Phalanx beauties Wine

FattyNinjaOwl · 28/02/2016 21:06

Ooh alcohol... Don't mind if I do Grin

Mummylin · 28/02/2016 22:20

Hello DBF team. Hope your all warmer than I am at this moment. Just came in after being out since 2 pm so of course we have had no heating on until now. It won't take long to warm up.
I hate creme eggs, don't like the goop in the middle, but my Dd would eat them everyday.
When is Easter ? I have no idea.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 28/02/2016 22:47
Grin I hate bloody creme eggs too lin

We can be humphy, strop bags in the corner!

magimedi · 28/02/2016 22:49

Creme eggs are the work of the devil.

A nice dark choc egg filled with gin..................

Mummylin · 28/02/2016 23:16

Can you imagine how some people say they can eat four in a row ugh, I would be sick. I would much rather have a box of after eight mints ! Or a bar of Turkish delight mmmm , lovely but it has to be the original type.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 29/02/2016 00:14

Apart fom anything else, creme eggs are Cadburys which doesn't even qualify as chocolate.

I'd fight you for the Turkish Delight lin, I love glueing it to my tongue with the icing sugar dusting before I eat it Blush

IamtheZombie · 29/02/2016 00:22

FidGirl, you're a credit to your Mum. xxx

magi, I'm pretty sure you're wrong. There's a fair few on here who don't like me. (To put it mildly.) Their loss, not mine if they choose to hear one side of a story and condemn me on that basis.

lin, Easter is early this year - 27th March.

I don't like creme eggs either. Or turkish delight (sorry, lin).

I'm out for lunch tomorrow with a sexy man. I may be some time. Wink Don't get excited. He's a fair bit younger than I am and very happily engaged. We've been friends for about 10 years. I'm looking forward to catching up.

My post on FB about this did bring Mr. 2006 out of the woodwork to comment. Now there's a story...

OP posts:
FattyNinjaOwl · 29/02/2016 00:42

I like proper Turkish delight. The kind my mum brings back from Turkey.
Used to love creme eggs but cadburys are crap now.

zombie I've not read the comments... Yet..
As for people on here that don't like you, why? And who? And how can they not? You're freakin awesome!

Mummylin · 29/02/2016 01:11

Zombie, I can't believe people don't like you ! How can anyone dislike someone they don't know ? Very strange. You have nothing but my admiration. You are the strongest woman I have met on here. Fuck all the miserys !

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 29/02/2016 20:36

Hope you enjoyed your sexy lunch Z

Actually, you're probably having a recovery snooze.

Nah, a meditatory snifter and some fresh air more likely Wine

Meditatory is not actually a word. It should be.

iklboo · 29/02/2016 20:56
Wolfiefan · 29/02/2016 20:59

Thirds that motion!
Who in the name of gin doesn't like the Zombie? No one on MN?

IamtheZombie · 29/02/2016 21:23

Calm down everyone. No one likes everyone they meet or come across on the internet. It would be lunacy to think otherwise. It's no big deal.

Lunch was great. The food was fantastic and the company even better. I really enjoyed myself.

OP posts:
magimedi · 29/02/2016 22:48

Zombie - I will still stand by my statement that you are the most loved woman on MN.

And to be that you have to have the 'haterz'.

I never said you were loved universally - Christ - you are not the Virgin Mary - are you? Grin

So pleased you had a good lunch - I love good food & Wine at luchtime - better, so much better than in the evening.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 29/02/2016 23:38

I would like to just agree with what Zombie just said, no-one likes everyone.

And no-one is liked by everyone.

And that's fine. It's usually mutual, and as long as people are respectful, and reasonable and polite, and ideally, understanding, that's fine.

Very pleased that you had a lovely time Z.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 29/02/2016 23:47

Perfect example magi, even the Virgin Mary isn't universally loved is she.

Hope for us yet Grin
