yes agree mrsratty, I only wish I had internet at the time so could have done a bit more research, glad im a bit more wiser now

Lolly68 · 14/11/2006 11:42

Thank you Tinkerbel. The thing is she looks to unimpressed in that photo but I just love it! I'm so excited that Kids chose her - still cant believe it!!

Tinkerbel5 · 14/11/2006 11:44

yes lolly its a great feeling

mythumbelinas · 14/11/2006 13:07

lolly68, well done to dd and hope she does really well with KL too

Lolly68 · 14/11/2006 13:10

Thank you MyThumbs!

mythumbelinas · 14/11/2006 13:24

For the BM job dd modelled a felt castle. There was a princess, prince and horse. Dd said the princess was her and they asked what was the prince's name and she said he was her daddy, which they went 'ahh'.
Later dd said 'oh, where's mummy?' and they said 'right here' .. but dd didn't mean that .. and said 'oh mummy can be the horse'!!!

dylansluckymum · 14/11/2006 13:25

well done lolly really happy for you and dd i'm sure she'll be much busier now!

fingers crossed for everyone waiting to hear back!! we have been confirmed for woolies tomorrow and they've asked us to go to a littlewoods casting this afternoon!

problem is our bus co. is on strike so we'll have to take a taxi but it's by old st so not too far for us, probably £15-20 both ways with waiting time... d'ya think it's worth it? i can't ring back until b&b open again at 2 so i guess i have that long to decide...

dylansluckymum · 14/11/2006 13:27

lol at your dd mythumbs! ah kids, you gotta love em.

forgot to say well done to mysons for the successful bday party after all the worry and the sainsbury's shoot!!!

mrsratty · 14/11/2006 13:28

We have to pay £10.50 for travel for each casting/job. You are lucky that you can walk or just pay for a bus, so yes I would pay for the taxi as a one off.

Tinkerbel5 · 14/11/2006 13:36

DLM I caught a cab as a one off to get to a casting cause I didnt want to be late, it was expensive but think you should consider it (if you can afford it) cause it could lead to the job, go for it x

Tinkerbel5 · 14/11/2006 13:38

DLM what about the tube, or do you need to catch a bus to get to your nearest tube station ? you could cut the cab cost by only taking it to your nearest station.

mythumbelinas · 14/11/2006 13:40

DLM, since ds is so young it will make things much easier for you to take a cab, but yeah, i wouldn't do it on a regular basis.

julie4travel · 14/11/2006 13:48

dylans - i would do it

our train tickets for yesterdays casting were just under £25! I am hoping ds gets some paid work soon to cover the expenses we have paid out.

mythuumbs that made me chuckle about you being the horse. i think its lovely when kids say innocent things like that, at least she didn't miss you out bless her!

OP posts:
dylansluckymum · 14/11/2006 13:52

yes i suppose you're all right! i would take a cab to station (have to take bus normally) but then it's quite a ways from old st as well so might as well just go the whole way. thanks everyone will let you know how it goes!

Lolly68 · 14/11/2006 14:29

Thank you DLM. Good luck tomorrow for Woolies - he is so busy bless him. Hope it goes well. I would take cab if its easier for you. Do you live at Old Street? I work in the City at Moorgate to near you if that is the case!

Mythumbs - LOL at your DD! Bless her little cotton socks.

julie4travel · 14/11/2006 14:35

has anyone heard back on the star now travel brochure one for this sun yet who were shortlisted? just wondering if this is one we will hear from or not!

OP posts:
mum2twoboyz · 14/11/2006 14:54

julie - nope nothing here, not even for the other that we applied for (an u got an email back from).... surely sum1 has got to get it!

julie4travel · 14/11/2006 15:04

mumof2boyz- cant understand why they take so long , its not like the job is next year or anything! not sure who else has applied yet hopefully one of us or housemum will get an email shortly saying one way or another.

still cant believe the other one didn't come back to you. i prefer when they email you directly to say yes or no then at least you can see who it was for. fingers crossed we will hear tommorow

ellesmum · 14/11/2006 16:01

i have also recieved an email from british lsle comp, i dont get it, thought they had already done the model of the year comp for this year!

dylansmum - good luck for LW casting, will let u know when we are next at spring studios would be nice to meet up again, especially to see the lovely dylan!

2ManyPimms · 14/11/2006 16:12

Well, I guess the Woolies thing is definitely out. B&B asked about LW but no-can-do and they didn't mention anything else. A bit disappointed cos it was such a pain in the arse to get there yesterday. (I know, I know...all part and parcel of the biz, isn't it?). Well done, DLM! Hope it goes smoothly.

Mythumbs - Awwwww!

Gotta start dinner -- it's a soup with dried beans in it and will take FOREVER to cook!

mysonsmummy · 14/11/2006 16:53

hi pimms - where did you have to come from. how old is your little one? i think yours is older like mine and they are not shooting till thurs. when i have been waiting for this b4 ive always found out night b4 (typical) saying that its prob a no for us as well. we went to casting in angel b4 and it took forever. was littlewoods i think. then kings cross shut on way back in rush hour and i thought never again. awlful day. if i hear either way ill let you know.

2ManyPimms · 14/11/2006 17:03

Mysons - Perhaps that'll be the case! Good if it were as DS has a HUGE art project at school tomorrow. The headache was that it was during rush hour, I left DD with a friend and was pelting it to and fro in a tizzy! Good luck, hun!

LM - Oh, you are FAB! Junior Mag arrived today so this will be our copy "to keep" - we had to dismember the other two in order to send copies to relatives in the States! I owe you a coffee and cake!

marymay · 14/11/2006 17:37

hi all.ds has a job tomorrow and had a email saying smart casual clothes.do you think a pair of nice jeans and smart t shirt is ok .its for the daily express.

mysonsmummy · 14/11/2006 18:11

if i had to dress ds smart it would be a pair of trousers and a shirt - just me though.

littlemadam · 14/11/2006 18:14

Wow - what a lots going on!!!!
Pimms, glad you got it, you've already stumped up for coffee and cake, call it payment in advance!! Fingers crossed for you and Mysons tomorrow!!!
Best wishes for DLM in woolies and for his casting.
Marymay, think that will be fine, maybe take a nice jumper or a shirt along for an alternative?? Is it for editorial?
Julie, Raga and Strawbs and anyone else waiting on a casting - good luck!
Mrsratty, hope it goes well tomorrow!
Oh, if anyones in Disney store, can you keep an eye out for DS?? His stuff should be out soon. Thanks!
