Thought I would start a new thread for November

what a fracas... apparently they want ds to do littlewoods tomorrow but he's already doing woolies so she was going to see if he could do thur for them instead but then said oh i have a casting for you then too! she said she's just so busy she hasn't had a chance to ring yet!!! waiting to hear back but it'll be kind of annoying to have gone to the casting just to find we can't do the job!

DLM could you do the job thursday, then go to the casting straight after ?, I did that once x

My daughter did the Tammy Girl job today and had a fantastic time...her favaourite job so far she tells me!

DLM, I guess see what the casting is for, and decide which you prefer. Good problem to have though!!

hi littlemadam..have no idea what it is.i only got the call at five and as normal didnt ask.i think i will take a couple of shirts and some smart trouser as well.just to be on the safe side

I'm glad its not just me!! Another job without a casting for your DS though, fab!! Hope he enjoys it, just remember to ask when its coming out or you'll be reading the Express for evermore Not that I have anything against the Express BTW!!

I have had about 6 uk model of the year emails now even though i not entered that one!

no news on star now travel brochure or yesterdays casting. the student film want to meet my kids fri which i cant do so i haveto arrange another date before its filmed in dec. hopefully a good experience for them!

i cant remember who else has got castings etc yet fingers crossed for you all

londonermum- glad tammy girl went well. i know i would have loved that sort of job when i was a kid. we all idolised tammy girl- no laughing please!!!

Thanks for the info yesterday on how to find places. Just got back from the casting and all went well so fingers crossed and they will use her. Also whilst waiting for the train back got a call from kl to say that my d might have a possible job on thursday without a casting (always best). So nothing for months and then everything at once.

Londenermum, great she enjoyed it, were there other girls to play with??
Elle31, fingers crossed for you, what was the casting for (sorry memory bears remarkable resemblance to sieve!!)
Julie, will prob start coming out in next couple of weeks, its brochure, in store displays and the in store DVD. There was also a buy out but not sure what! He was Captain Jack and a few others. Thanks for looking.

little madam - the casting was for next directory and they are shooting on friday so hopefully she will get it, the photographer did mention that she was taller than the other girls, but not sure if that is a good thing or not I think the age range was around 6-8 years old.

thanks i know he's very lucky i'm not complaining i just can't believe the madness! poor carla in b&b seemed quite overwhelmed they're obviously really busy. she didn't even ring me back so i guess we'll see what happens tomorrow. of course i'd rather he did the job unless the casting is for something really cool!

had a call this evening about a student commercial casting. said i would call tommorow as she rang at 1030 (i was in bed!) yet think filming coincides with the filming of student film for both of my kids. need to check on dates. its funny people seem to want my ds for unpaid stuff yet the paid stuff dont seem to be coming our way.

seems like its picking up so you never know i suppose

littlemadam - there was def quite a few pirates of caribbean bits in store as my ds was hovering round them, although it was quite busy in the store so i probably didn't notice as much as i would normally do.

saw a massive elle though in m and s! i was looking out for it and then suddenly saw this big wall of her, such a great photo to be proud of.

Yes Julie...I too used to idolise Tammy...why on earth I dont know tbh...its all the pink and purple glitter that gets them going I think!

Littlemadam..yes there were two other girls her age who she got on well with. They were even taken out for lunch together!

arggggggghhhhhhhh on the subject of the mini br & miss british isles emails.... i just ha a form in th post for ds!!!!!!!!!! the youngest age for the comp s 1 - and hes not even 1!!!!!!!!! wtf r they playin at - specially as we all thought it had already been done!!!

mumof2boys - the form is form the model of the year competition on in a couple of weeks. i presume you aren't applying? still no news on the travel brochure one for us, prob not going to get a polite email now saying have not been selected.

mummy2twoboyz - regarding the BI comp it is very annoying i have now recieved my second email from them, have no idea what they are playing at its very strange!

ellesmum- hope u r ok, you didn't hear from mackays yet? anything else in the pipeline?

not heard anything on bbc fingers crossed for me or raga.

accepted the student film for both my kids , they r sorting the licence etc

b and b said toddlers and babies are busiest at present. i had to check student film date doesn't clash with anything ds has been put forward for yet he is fine.

julie - no notheard from mackays yet but kids said noone has been chosen yet for it so maybe still some hope, also waiting if BHS book her again for the end of the month as they asked if she was available.

good luck with the student films for your los, will be good experience for your dd.

am going to milton keynes tomorrow for the day to see dds pics!

ellesmum, i'm sure dd will get a call for bhs, but most probs last min .. that's my experience!
