Oh yes. We have jobs from them my daughter is 10. That is a 1 off payment and then the child is on the books until 17 i think it is.
Good luck with your decision

strawberrymilkshake · 01/11/2006 11:35

sorry i just realised that it states 17 in your letter

ellesmum · 01/11/2006 11:36

juicygail - have u tried any other agencies? i really wouldnt go with the first one that accepts your lo, i would try bruce and brown, kids london, mot and urban angels first as they are the top 4 agencies and are free to join, they also only have around 300 kids on their books so more chance of getting work. i would apply to as many agencies as u can then wait for all the replys and only then make your decision.

mimi - poor riely hope he gets better soon.

mimi1uk · 01/11/2006 11:43

i think ellesmum has given u some very good advice juicygail.
thanks strawbs hope ur johnsons job goes well, strawbs are u still with mot, as well as bk?? x

mimi1uk · 01/11/2006 11:44

thanks ellesmum, strabs etc, for rileys well wishes, he is sore under his neck as he has been dribbling it was starting to get better and then the doctor gave us some cream and its red raw, poor little mite he is going mouldy, lol

dylansluckymum · 01/11/2006 13:33

hi all! congrats strawbs on johnson's job sound like great fun. had a call to check avail for debenhams shoot fri so fingers crossed for that.

mimi ds is in same boat as your ds he's got all 4 top middle teeth just coming through. he spent all morning yelling, not crying mind you YELLING at the top of his lungs. i guess it makes him feel better but i'm getting ready to hide under a pillow!

and just because it's chilly today! it's our first day of swimming lessons. it's at swiss cottage so not too far from here but i think i'm going to take a cab just for today because i don't have any really warm stuff for ds yet.

btw i have never had to sign anything for photo release (including junior??) except the cm.net shoot! how strange.

julie4travel · 01/11/2006 13:37

juicygal - my friends three kids have been with bk for a couple of years and never had anything for any of her kids. Her other agent she has had lots if work from the girls are really pretty

have a look at www.childmodelling.net for a list of agents with ratings based on parents reviews

good luck in whatever you decide

Hi

I sent dd's pic to Scallywags a few months back and they've now emailed inviting her to go in for a photo session to see if they'd be interested in having her on the books.

Any advice from anyone more experienced than me?

TIA

mummamia · 01/11/2006 14:18

Just found this thread. Does anyone have their children with A&J Management? Also I have been accepted by MOT along with several others does anyone have their children with MOT - they sound very professional when I have e-mailed them or spoken to them?

ellesmum · 01/11/2006 14:24

mummamia - mot are one of the top 4 agencies in london they are very good i think there are a few on this thread that have los with them, they should be able to give u their experiences with them as my dd is with kids london.

also mot are not sole rep so u can continue to be with a and j for film & tv work.

the other big agencies like kids and b and b are sole rep so u wouldnt be able to go with both if u were to go with them.

hope that helps

Ragamuffin · 01/11/2006 14:36

mumamia......We are with both A&J and MOT. It's the best of both worlds. MOT being the only one of the top 4 model agencies to accept you only for photographic, thus allowing you to still do the theatrical stuff. Most other model agencies insist on sole representation......then you can't do both. So my advice...Go for it!! MOT are great!

mummamia · 01/11/2006 14:39

ragamuffin - do your children get alot of work/castings through A&J... the only reason I am slightly concerned is that MOT do deal with commercials to they said ...... what do you do in that circumstance?

Ragamuffin · 01/11/2006 14:51

mumamia.....We joined MOT on the understanding that it was photographic only and they are fine with that. There are several other kids I know with MOT who have theatrical agents as well. We do not accept tv commercial auditions from MOT. This is the big problem area that most other modelling agencies will not give up as the commission is highest on these jobs.

mimi1uk · 01/11/2006 15:12

does anyone have the website for bruce and brown, thanks

Tinkerbel5 · 01/11/2006 15:19

here you go mimi

www.bruceandbrown.com/About.aspx

strawberrymilkshake · 01/11/2006 16:04

Mimi dd is still with mot, but have only had 2 castings with them one of which we couldnt go 2, but dd isnt in there book.

strawberrymilkshake · 01/11/2006 16:05

I have seen AJ kids at all dds castings, there parents say that they get a lot. idont now if this helps.

julie4travel · 01/11/2006 16:55

fizbangwhoosh - they are a good agency and have loads of kids on their books so there would be internal competition aswell for jobs. some agents such as urban angels take a smaller amount of kids on and not with teh same sort of look so there isn't the internal competition.

have a look at www.childmodelling.net for agency profiles. there fees are high we were with them last year and have switched to bruce and brown this year and not had to pay anything out initially to start with them and the model book is optional we had the photos last week.

Good luck in your decisions

Hi All!!
Havnt been on for a while as we moved house, internet conection has been iffy but here I am.

YES!! that Woolies advert Georgia did is out today and I have seen her in it

There are 4 different versions though and Ive only seen 2, the one with Westlife and the cutdown version showing the elves.
For those who didnt meet her at thje photo shoots, she is the one with glasses, on the right.I cant wait to see the other 2 as they did so many things Itll be interesting to see which bits they chose and if she is in any more (fingers crossed) 3 days solid filming got a LOT of footage even for 4, 50 sec commercials.
Very proud as shes also just got her 3rd commercial this year as Fern Brittens body double in the new Ryvita commercial.
Yes odd I know, but her body will be dressed in school uniform and have Ferns head on!!

To the lady asking about MOT and A&J, we too ar with both like ragamuffin and very happy.

julie4travel · 01/11/2006 18:18

edu will keep my eyes open for the advert. she must be very pleased. did you say it was her first one? she seems to be in demand since joining aj. well done!
