Good Luck for today julie. I hope his leg is ok.Let us know all about it.

Does anyone know how long it takes for companies to get back to you if you child has the job of a commercial, is it longer then photographic etc.

julie4travel · 13/11/2006 08:14

thanks strawb- i think its the same sort of wait as photographic. fingers crossed for your dd. i would give it till about wed/thurs if he asssesment was Fri unless its being filmed very soon. plus you would need a week for the licence before the job too. i worked out before what the latest date i would hear based on the licence needed a week etc- if that makes sence!

julie......See you later!! Glad that DS is going! Looking forward to meeting up with you. Would love that H of F Catalogue if you could bring it with you?

Good Luck to anyone else with castings today.

strawbs......TV Advert castings are usually quite quick to let you know if you get it cos of licencing. Usually no more that 3 days! Depends how soon before shoot they cast...........but it's most often a big rush so you hear quickly. Good Luck!

dylansluckymum · 13/11/2006 13:50

shame littlemadam, i love french connection too!

good luck julie & ragga for today.

woolies casting seemed to go very well, they were very nice and asked me and another woman with about 10 mo-1 yr dd if we were available on wed. looks like the shoot is at spring studios which is the one right by our place, my favourite!! fingers crossed. good luck to pimms and mysons for this aft!

lolly i saw quickly on cm.net that dd has been accepted by kids, that's great news. sorry i haven't responded to you but i don't really go on there much anymore. anyway congrats, i think you made the right choice. x

littlemadam · 13/11/2006 13:59

Mrsratty, not yet, but its Saturday, so heres hoping!!

I love FC too, and they wanted to see him last year, but we were with BK who turned it down on our behalf, saying we didn't do castings.... Must be fated not to do FC!!!

Lolly, well done, KL are smaller than ES, sure your DD will do really well!!

Ellesmum, any news from BHS? They must have loved her, mind you, I'm not surprised having seen her pics!!

DLM, hope thats a positive for you, is it for Ladybird?? That was DS's first job, they are lovely!!

Lolly68 · 13/11/2006 14:03

What a same Little Madam.

Mrsratty - hello!

DLM - thanks. I'm very happy that she has been accepted by Kids. I'm now compiling an email to go to ES saying that I am terminating the contract - fingers crossed they are ok! Well done as well for Woolies.

2ManyPimms · 13/11/2006 14:09

My connection keeps cutting in and out!! Drat!

Dylans - Fingers crossed for Woolies! Sounds promising! I think that there are DOZENS of us going for the afternoon. Well, we'll see! What is the job for, BTW? (Asking as Xmas is over and can't see anything on the horizon.)

Mysons - I know you are at the Sainsbury's job so I wish I could have told you what I was wearing and hopefully we could have said "hello". Good luck today!

LM - THANKS, you STAR!!!! Sorry about the FC casting.

Thorntons - Congrats on Junior!!!!!!

Ragga - Good luck with the BBC promo casting!

Everyone - Sorry if I missed you out...but good luck and fingers crossed for all castings and jobs!

dylansluckymum · 13/11/2006 14:22

i forgot to ask what the woolies was for but ds tried on a shorts suit with little cap (that were ladybird!) so i'm guessing it must be spring/summer stuff. the girls tried on a lot of dresses, some casual and some really frilly fancy ones too!

mrsratty · 13/11/2006 14:40

Lolly68 - Well done for KL, I'm sure she will have more opportunties with them as they do high fashion and high street work whereas ES do mainly high street. GOOD LUCK!!!

elle31 · 13/11/2006 15:09

does anyone know which tube station is best for next productions at 1 edgware road. Actually got a casting at last

elle31 · 13/11/2006 15:11

sorrys its not 1 egware road it is 1 garfield house 86 -88 egawre road

ellesmum · 13/11/2006 15:18

dylans- spring studios is where dd did BHS job, its a huge place isnt it? i got lost a few times as the toliets are miles away lol. good luck for woolies.

littlemaddam - havent heard anything yet just was asked if dd was available for the week commencing the 27th so fingers crossed they might want her again!

dylansluckymum · 13/11/2006 15:28

ellesmum, we've been there for deb's and tescos but both were in studio G. major trek to the loo!! i've looked on their website i think the other studios are seriously lush, so they must use G for kids cause it's the cheapest! if you're up here again you'll have to let me know maybe we can meet for a coffee or something. it's about a 20 min walk for us.

Booklover · 13/11/2006 15:30

Hello,

Sorry to hijack this thread. Just wondered if you can recommend some agencies in London that do not charge beforehand? My ds is very pretty and lots of people have suggested to take him to a model agency. But I don't want to pay money in advance or is that something you have to do? Also wondered if your children enjoy it? My ds is 2.5 btw. Many thanks

littlemadam · 13/11/2006 15:43

Hi Booklover, the big four without up front fees are Kids London, Bruce and Brown, Urban Angels and MOT. This is a good site to get more info. Hope that helps!!
