hhhmmmmm i like, i like a lot, but dont know if i will get one as already have a big stokke cot, and as it was quite expensive id like to get some more use out of it as dd wont sleep in it (she sleeps in a travel cot, dont ask!) the only thing the big cot is used for at the min is to look pretty, my dds dolls have the best bed in the house

dylans mum just went through your pictures, they are georgeous! dylan is just so photogenic its unbelievable! i loved the ones of him in canada, very sweet!

To be totally honest I don't really know!! I had a call from them yesterday asking me to confirm my little ones details!!??? Took me a while to register where they were calling from! Will let you know if I hear anymore......but it could have been to say no thanks!

omg ive just got off the phone to kids london and they told me they have just been on the phone to the company who elle did her first job with (coats,kokobino) and apparently they have just nigotiatied a buy out fee for her pictures so they can be used in a big advertising campaign!!! for their new knitware!! they dont know where its going to be advertised yet but will let me know as soon as they do!!!
cant beleve it i was worried they wouldnt even use her for their new website!!

depends on the job, where the pics are going to be used etc can be as little as a couple of hundred right up to thousands, really does depend on the campaign though

i didnt get much for the buy out fee kids said the company wittled them right down. dont mind though!

One of DD's pics was used for a window, website, local and national press and brouchure cover so I wonder if she will get a fair amount for that. What is the standard pay for, just catalouge or website?

she is getting payed for the standard hours she did on the job,for pics for their new website but then getting extra from the buy out fee. didnt they do that with your dd before they released the pics of her?

Ive only had buyout for 2 modelling jobs, and I think its when they will be used abroad.

1 was a book launch and they paid £300 on top of the £120 shoot fee and the other was the big buyout that I mentioned for the Sony job recently. That was £800 on top of the £300 but I think that is unusual and only paid because the photos will be used all over europe.

I know you also only get it if the child is recognisable, so not if its the hands or side of head for instance!!

By the way, is anyones LO going to a woolworths commercial casting tomorrow?

mrratty if it is .advertising work such as adverts for calpol etc then you get a buy out, don't think the jobs you describe would warrant them as they are paid at an hourly rate. so eg we have had buyouts for persil, vodafone etc but not for, next, tesco, asda etc.
