Hi, good luck to all with castings and jobs

Julie, i worry about dd now she's at juniors. Kids are let out of school at the end of the day, but i tell dd1 that she is not allowed to go with an strangers no matter what, even if they say they are the police.

yackertyyack · 21/09/2006 13:19

Julie, They are choosing as we speak and will be letting the finalists know definately by middle of next week!!!!!

Lolly68 · 21/09/2006 13:23

Julie - it is very scary what goes on in this world. Sometimes I worry what i have brought Lydia into but you have to just protect them.

DylansMum - well done!! He is going to be a little superstar!!!

julie4travel · 21/09/2006 13:27

yackerty - did they call you about it then?

thumbs- i know its terrible.

the school tried ringing me yesterday as my ds wasn't on the schol bus and they have a list of who should be on it and were hunting the school for him. i collected him as my dd now does ballet on a wed and there isnt time for him to come home on the bus. i am more reassured because of that though! it seems funny that they go on a school bus from 4 yet its escorted and they seem to know who should be on or off the bus

mythumbelinas · 21/09/2006 13:34

dylansluckymum, congrats on the calpol job!!!

I had a letter home from school this week, saying a girl, at 8:20am (school gates open at 8:30) was approached by a man who started taking pics of her on his mobile, then tried to engage in conversation!!! Also, last year, a man in a bmw tried pulling a girl into his car, saying he was the police and she was under arrest for dropping litter .. she escaped when another mum helped her!!

ellesmum · 21/09/2006 13:36

dylansmum - well done with the calpol job! how exciting he is a star!!

ellesmum · 21/09/2006 13:37

mythymbs - omg that is so scary, i worry about elle as she is so friendly and will go with almost anyone. cant take my eyes off her for a second!

princessmel · 21/09/2006 13:40

Oh my god thats awful Thumbs. Where is the school?

Julie I've emailed you back.

Dylansmum, Well done!
I still haven't seen a pic of him. My comp won't let me see the pics on CM.net.

My dd is on the comfort blankets website. www.comfortblankets.co.uk You can send in a pic of your child if they have one of their blankies. She loves hers. She's on CM.net too.I don't have any other pics of her online. I don't know how to put one on.

julie4travel · 21/09/2006 13:46

thumbs - thats terrible . I understand.

My dd is a sociable little girl too and i worry will go with strangers, I hope the pre school does a stranger talk soon. My ds wouldn't go off with anyone he doesn't know . He is so honest he would soon tell someone if he doesn't know them etc

princessmel - i recognised your dd straight away.

my dd has a silk lable fettish and has one of those blankets with labels all round the outside. expensive yet she loves it!

princessmel · 21/09/2006 13:52

Yes thats the one she has Julie. The loopy blanky. Its pink silk on one side and fleece on the other with loads of diff labels round the edge. She has 2. I love them!

mythumbelinas · 21/09/2006 13:55

princessmel, i don't want to say dd's school, but we're in nwlondon (barnet) there is a lady who is inside the school gates that makes sure once you drop your kids off inside they're not allowed back out.
Still can't pin-point who you remind me of!!

princessmel · 21/09/2006 13:59

I wish I knew. I hope its not someone horrible!!

That sound like a good idea at the school.

littlemadam · 21/09/2006 14:00

Mrratty, I've just got a marketing email from Mothercare and your DD is the main pic...let me know if you have it, or want it forwarding!

DylansLM, what a whirlwind!! Looking forward to seeing Dylan all over the place!!

Lots going on, can't wait to see the new CM site, you'll have to let us have a who's who!!

Have the Leeds/North people heard from Mamas and Papas???

dylansluckymum · 21/09/2006 14:03

thanks everyone! i'm so proud of him!!!

princess mel which girl is yours? there's a funny pic of dylan on the profiles thread at the mo showing off my first knitting project.

princessmel · 21/09/2006 14:10

She's Lily, 13 months. Lying in her egg shaped cot in a pink bodysiut/vest.

dylansluckymum · 21/09/2006 14:16

awww she's gorgeous. what a lovely picture. i really wanted to get one of those cots but we decided to go for a hammock instead. i don't regret that decision at all but i do think they're very cool!

dylan has a similar blanket but i think it might be the same as julie's dd, they're called taggies. he loves his blankie but he loves the little taggies book even more. it's soft fleece and he smooshes his face in it all the time!

princessmel · 21/09/2006 14:17

Thanks Dylans. Dd has that book too but she loves her loopy the most.

princessmel · 21/09/2006 14:19

What will you do when dylan can stand up or crawl? Will you get a cot then?

dylansluckymum · 21/09/2006 14:29

i think we'll get a cotbed. at the rate we're going i'm hoping he'll stay in it up to a year. it's not open like you might imagine, have a look.

nature's nest hammock

it is excellent he's slept through since he was born i had to wake him to feed when he was newborn.

julie4travel · 21/09/2006 14:35

dylans - i never even heard of them before, wish i had as my ds suffered from reflux and we slept him in the car seat until the midwife told us off! it was the only way we could get a decent nights sleep. in the end he was cured with gaviscon yet those first few weeks were hard work!

dylansluckymum · 21/09/2006 14:38

yes they were made in australia and this UK distributor website has only started up since after dylan was born. you could order directly from the creator before, although i think he used someone local to ship. they featured them on the baby channel a few months ago when this site started up and i was like hey! we have one of those!!! i even took it with to canada as it folds and comes with a bag. honestly, if anyone has any more babies (lanismum!) i couldn't recommend it more!

Lolly68 · 21/09/2006 14:40

It looks so cosy - think I will get one for myself!!

dylansluckymum · 21/09/2006 14:41

lol that's what dp says too!

princessmel · 21/09/2006 14:43

Looks lovely. dd would like it as she liked being swaddled. I think I saw it on the baby channel too!!

Lolly68 · 21/09/2006 14:44

Lydia makes me laugh in her cot. She looks so little in it since I took her from moses basket but she sleep right up to the edge on her side with her bum in the air. She looks so uncomfortable but she sleeps for 12 hours so she cant be!
