My mum often put my hair up with elastic bands and it hurt like hell getting them out....................and awful cheap plasters that became part of your skin, could only be forced of after a long soak in the bath while painfully peeling them off with a knife.

i remenber having the electric on a coin meter as a child and mymother would always wait till it ran out and we were al sitting in the bloody dark before she would put another coin in, so trying to find a 10p coin in the dark was always a laugh (not) and always at the good bit of charlies angels or the muppets....i loved the muppets

'Smoking' sugar cigarettes and snorting sherbet powder. I don't think that any of us knew about cocaine, just that some of us (boys, mostly) loved the way you then frothed at the nose. Especially if you could get it all the way up the licorish straw. Not that I ever snorted, it looked too painful!

Makes you wonder what they snort now doesnt it? Just out of curiosity have any of you ever done a reunion of any sorts with old school pals ect. If so how did it go?

I went to a 20 year reunion of my school year. Weird. They all looked so old. Can't imagine any of them snorting sherbet now (though admittedly the snorters were mostly in primary school). Of course I don't look old - I mean, everyone recognised me at once, so I must look just the same now as I did at 18, right?
