Sorry don't have time to read the whole thread
Are there any agencies that don't charge upfront fees?

CadburyGirl · 09/12/2005 19:12

BIL - Elliott Brown and Bruce & Brown are the only ones I can think of that don't charge fees. I'm sure some other people on this thread might be able to think of a few more.

Tinkerbell - hope your LO is better.

right i'll start again.
marymay how did your dd get on today? what time did you get there? we arrived round about 11.30, i heard one of the ladies in charge say that they are looking for lots of boys and girls and adults for all different products within there company name. but i must admit my dd had her photos taken and she thought that was all she was there for i don't think she realises that something may or may not come out of it ,so if we don't get the call, she won't be any the wiser, she just enjoyed the photo's being taken.

marymay · 09/12/2005 22:37

hi perfumelady.we got there about 12 oclock.it must have been your dd having her pictures done shortly after we arrived as i noticed a little girl honding a urban angel sign.she looked lovely.my dd had a white coat pink skirt and boots a lot taller then your dd {thats if it was you}.she had to pretend she was watering a plant then someone was sprinkling water on her head.what did your dd have to do. like your dd she thought it was fun .

perfumelady · 10/12/2005 11:40

marymay i thought that may have been you i should have gone with my instinct and said hi but if it wasn't you i would have felt stupid, you were the lady that kept getting hit by the door every time someone came in. my dd had jeans and a cerise pink t shirt on, she had to do the hoop la round her tummy, skip with a skipping rope and jump up and down, wonder why they all did different things? how did your dd get on with pretending someone was sprinkling water on her head that's quite a tricky one

loopyredangel · 10/12/2005 23:44

Hi little christmas self we went to eurokids on friday, and they were all lovely there. We are just waiting for DS licence to come through, then we will have to wait and see if he gets any jobs. I went along with the attitude of if he didn't enjoy it I wouldn't persue it, but he was very happy, full of smiles and babbling away to the photographer - he is such a flirt with the ladies!

marymay · 11/12/2005 12:30

perfumelady.i was the one that kept getting hit by the door {we moved}.i was talking to one of the male models and he said there was a lot of different things they were shooting for .he also told me it was the casting everyone wanted to get picked for .i think our girls must have been photographed for different things.just before us another girl had to just pretend to brush her hair.there was also a lot there from bizzy kids .{five after you left}.let me know if you hear anything .good luck

littlechristmaself · 11/12/2005 15:54

so glad you went loopyredangel am going after cristmas, if you get any work please let me know, what happened then, on friday did they take pice, and things

perfumelady · 11/12/2005 20:54

marymay i think your right they must have products already in mind, makes sence now,so from what you said i guess we are very lucky to have got that far then. the little girl before us was from bizzy kidz, also saw people from mot, norrie carr and one lady said she was from little angels or something like that i said to her sorry did you say urban angels and she said no something? angels(i think it was little) i'd never heard of them. good luck and let us know if you here anything also

draper · 11/12/2005 22:03

Well we had a good photo shoot on thursday - it was for a baby mag and my little one was an angel - he sat still and posed like a pro! They were really pleased with him, so hopefully he will be in print in january!!!!!

Marymay and Perfumelady the casting sounds fab.....fingers crossed for you bothxx
Tinkerbellechelle- really hope your little man is feeling better. Shame about the casting but there will be more.
Anyway - hope to hear loads more gossip soon!!

kylesmybaby · 12/12/2005 00:33

hi i am new to this thread. can anyone advise me my son did his first photo shoot in sept and we have not received any payment yet. is this normal - how long does it take to get paid. thanks

thorntons · 12/12/2005 06:54

Hi kylesmybaby. It can take up to 3 months to receive payment .Model agencies generally stipulate that clients are required to pay them within 30 days of the job being completed .However that often doesnt happen. We often have to wait 2 -3 months. Our agency send out payments to models accounts once a month. We get sent a remittance advice slip detailing brekdown of payment made, Why dont you give the agency a call /email them to politely chase up payment? After all they would be anxious for their commission. Hope you dont have to wait too long! Best wishes and all the best re your little ones modelling.

sh11 · 12/12/2005 13:57

Hi got offered a place with Aphabet kidz - just applied a couple of hours ago!! the lady seems really nice..

sh11 · 12/12/2005 14:34

someone was recently asking of agencies that dont charge any fees upfront. Alphabet kidz dont charge fees for kids under 2 years. just update photos every 5 weeks.

totallyfloaty35 · 12/12/2005 16:31
