yes she currently in a childrens mag and was in the previous issue and she's in the next issue in a weeks time, god that was a bit of a mouth full!!but that was all one job.

hahahehe · 10/11/2005 22:18

ahhh...well done to her...I bet she is the talk of her school! I also bet she is itching to do something else now shes got the bug!! Was that through stagecoach?

perfumelady · 10/11/2005 22:39

no, with stagecoach you have to have been going for a year before you can be put through there agency, and it's more to do with stage shows and film rather than modelling ,our stagecoach has only been open since april. yes she has loved every minute of her shoot from start to finish, one of her little friends even asked her for her autograph(bless) they all think that she is now famous because she is in a mag.she's lapping the attention up.

BIG note in my diary for submissions to Urban Angels in May. Oh, yes...and to resubmit a Dr's form in February as well. Where has the year gone?!

Still waiting for work, DS is probably hard to place because he isn't terribly "quirky".

It is great to see that so many of the posters to this board have been successful. Well done!

hahahehe · 11/11/2005 22:50

hi hahahehe.my dd is 9 dont know if she will get much work .as all the kids look younger in all the mags.still its a bit of fun we will see how it goes.

lanismum · 12/11/2005 12:09

for all the ladies whos little ones are with bizzykidz, when you get a job/casting, where do you have to go? just wondering if they are in central london? my dd is with bizzykidz, she 8 months old, no jobs yet, but as we are moving next week, one will prob come up right in the middle of when we are moving!!

2ManyPimms · 12/11/2005 12:58

lanismum - Firstly, good luck on the move!!!!

We received a call from Bizzykidz a while back for a casting in the West End. I don't think that they are in the same place each time. Other mums who have had work with Bizzykidz will be able to give you more feedback than I could.

Sorry, I can't be of more help!

perfumelady · 12/11/2005 13:14

marymay my dd has also been offered a contract with urban angels she is 8. have you looked on the website under show off show off? alysia posts a monthly letter which shows all the jobs that have taken place.i agree a lot of the children look younger but there seems to be a wide range of assignments that have taken place and from what i've heard urban angels have a very good name within the industry and are going from strength to strength which can only be good for our little ones, let us know if you hear any thing.

lanismum · 12/11/2005 13:34

2manypimms- thanks, ill need luck moving all the stuff we have!!

hahahehe · 14/11/2005 08:58

Hey Lanismum,
So far we have been West end, city, hammersmith, surrey and we may have to go to bristol!!! So no set area for jobs I am afraid. Although most are in London somewhere. Are you close to London or are you moving further away???
Hope the move goes well xx

lanismum · 14/11/2005 14:43

i live in east london, so its very easy to get to the west end, and when we move it will still be in east london, just got to keep my fingers crossed for a job now!!! would be quite shocked if i was asked to go all the way to bristol though!!

tinkerbellchelle · 14/11/2005 15:04

HAHAHEHE we didnt get the filming however the doc's letter and everything has been sent back so at least now licence etc can be sorted if needed. Hopefully now he is up and running with all the paper work etc the work should come flooding in HA HA HA HA no only kidding but at least if anything does come in we have all the paper work if needed.
Is there anyone from bizzykidz going to the shoot on sunday?? xxxxx
HAHAHEHE you said the other day that you had a shot but 50/50 chance of being picked... any news yet?
LANISMUM hope the move goes ok? xxxxx

hahahehe · 14/11/2005 15:13

Hi Tinkerbellchelle, Sorry your little man didn't get the filming, his moment will come soon! And at least they told you one way or the other rather than let you hang on. And as you say at least all the paperwork is done now for when a license is needed. Bizzykidz are excellent at sorting all that out, especially when its needed quickly. With regards to the shoot it was for a catalogue so it will be a case of when it comes out seeing if he is in it or not!!!!!!! I am guessing that things quieten down coming up to christmas???

tinkerbellchelle · 14/11/2005 17:03

yeah at least now the paperwork is sorted thats one thing less to worry about. Oh wow if its in the catalogue let me know
Yeah I was thinking does it quieten up on the run up to christmas?
Anyway its nice now that this conversation is people genuinely trying to help each other and support each other etc, instead of having nasty comments etc.
Good Luck to us all and remember to stay in touch.
Of modelling subject but my little man rolled today 20 weeks old he's been trying for ages but finally has done it today

sophiegirl · 14/11/2005 17:50

hello everybody glad to see everybody saying good things about bizzy kidz.my dd has just joined them , doctors note seems impossible to get, still i will try again to get it. nice to see all the children doing well in modeling, hopefully we might be lucky to.good luck to every one and happy xmas.

tinkerbellchelle · 14/11/2005 18:05

SOPHIEGIRL, how old is your DD?
You say the doctors note is hard to get? Have you handed over the letter that you get within the bizzykidz email regarding the licence. We just handed that in at reception and then collected it a few days later ( and paid £10! ) Yeah keep trying for the letter as they need that to get the licence together for work.
By any chance you going to the model book shoot this weekend?

sophiegirl · 15/11/2005 18:52

hi tinkerbellchelle my dd is 5 years old,and enjoys posing so we thought we would give modelling a try. doctors note i will get this week. the photo sitting im not sure about, but i might of left it to late this time to go.but looking forward to any if any auditions we might get. its all in fun. how are you,and your little one getting on in the world of modelling any luck yet?.

2ManyPimms · 16/11/2005 13:30

Oh, nuts.

Just found out that most shoots take place DURING school hours.

DS isn't academic and the headmistress isn't terribly impressed with parents taking their children out of school - period.

I doubt that he'd have many assignments so I don't think that it would be much of a problem for the odd bit of a day or so.

Now I am struggling with whether or not to take him along for an assessment, paying the 20 quid for the honour, THEN stumping up the photo shoot fee, model book fee etc... if I am not fully prepared to remove him from school as and when it is necessary.

Thoughts? Experiences of your own?

hahahehe · 16/11/2005 14:29

sorry 2manypimms can't help as my little man has years before he starts school!! But as I have been led to believe most castings take place outside of school hours but jobs tend to be within school hours! I know of one agency who asks your school to fill out a form saying how many days they will allow your child to have out of school!!
By the way.......who has asked you for £20 for an initial assesment?? Do you get it back if you don't get in???

2ManyPimms · 16/11/2005 14:58

Norrie Carr. It doesn't mention whether or not you receive the money back. I am going to assume not. The agency seems to have a good "rep" in the industry but it is a HUGE up-front amount.

2ManyPimms · 16/11/2005 14:59

That should have said....there is a HUGE up-front cost. oops.
