Tinkerbellchelle - Thats a good start...how old is you litt'un again?? Is it big or little for age? Only ask because my man is 6 months - so we may bump into you at some point!

tinkerbellchelle · 02/11/2005 08:13

He is 4 months old however he is long for his age so could length wise pass as a 6 month baby. His sleep suits are 6-9 months cos his toes stick out the end. I swear he'll be about 5ft at 5! His daddy is 6ft 4 and Im 5ft 11 so I think he has a good chance of being tall.
Yeah we might bump into each other! I mean nothing will probably come of the jobs but hey its a good start that 2 days after signing contract they are putting him forward for thing. I'll let u know how it goes
x

hahahehe · 02/11/2005 09:29

Ahhhh bless him - tall as well as good looking Its nice to know that they are putting him forward already....I will keep my fingers crossed for him.
I think that people are quick to moan about an agency not getting them work but they forget that the agent has been putting them foward, they just haven't been chosen by the client for whatever reason.
Hey - you can tell we have small children by the silly times we come online!!!

lanismum · 02/11/2005 11:09

yay, thats a really good, fingers crossed he will get a job out of it, good luck!!

tinkerbellchelle · 02/11/2005 11:13

I know sometimes I look at the times we write messages and think that its mad sometimes that we are on here HA HA.
Thanks lanismum
Yeah see thats the thing if people dont get work they think maybe the agency hasnt tried however I am very confident that bizzykidz will work hard on our behalf and every other child on there books.
I mean if nothing comes of it, so be it but at least I know they are trying xxx
off out for lunch today my little pumpkin has gone to his nans and out with her and her friends for lunch ( poor thing ha ha ) x

sophiegirl · 02/11/2005 23:24

hi everybody i have been watching this thread for a few months now,my dd is 5 and just got in to bizzy kids. which i see as a bit of fun and extra cash if lucky and to give my dd extra confidence. only been with them a month so we will see how it goes

perfumelady · 03/11/2005 20:53

hi did anyone on here go for the urban angels photo shoot in london during the half term?

Ronniebaby · 04/11/2005 13:58

Hiya, is anyone with EuroKids?????

As I have a question. They send you out a form and ask you to return it with a £25 deposit, this is for the photographs, then the balance upon photo's being done, does anyone know the balance etc and what do they charge etc as they wont send you out a pack till you return the form with deposit

tinkerbellchelle · 04/11/2005 23:08

can you not ring them and ask for the balance amount? As it seems a little strange you cant find out the amount? Try calling them Im sure they will tell u x

thorntons · 06/11/2005 23:26

Hi Perfume lady.We went to The Urban Angels shoot over half term.It went well. I though studio was very spacious and good to see toys out for the kids to play with .We got a call last week to say they would like to have munchkin on their books .How did you find the shoot?

perfumelady · 06/11/2005 23:36

HI Thorntons, we got the call also to say she'd got through, exciting isn't it? i have a good vibe about this agency, i was very impressed by the set up, and alysia was lovely they seem to get a good amount of work for there models, and the good thing from what i can gather is they don't take on very many models per year.

tinkerbellchelle · 07/11/2005 18:04

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone is going to a shoot with bizzykidz of november 20th for there model book?
Hope everyone is ok? x

zippitippitoes · 07/11/2005 18:08

Have any of had photos or filming for an actual job yet..?

perfumelady · 07/11/2005 22:43

zippitippitoes with which agency?

Wordsmith · 07/11/2005 23:27

Haven't read all the posts and don't have any personal experience but I have worked with model agencies in the past (not as a model! Christ no, am a bit of a minger) BUT I do know that no reputable agency will make you pay for pics or to 'be on their books'. They will take you on beacuse they believe they can get you work therefore earn a commission on your fees. So don't pay upfront - it will be a rip off.

tinkerbellchelle · 08/11/2005 09:42

zippitippietoes.... I think if you read through the whole read ( LOADS OF IT I KNOW! ) but Im sure there are quite a few people who have had work. I have only been with my son's agency for 2 weeks and we're just waiting for doctors note to be signed as the agency have some work pending which to me after 2 weeks is a fantastic sign.
Im sure further down there are some messages from people who have modelled. x

crunchie · 08/11/2005 09:45

zippitoes. My dd gets work, she did a job in half term for ASDA mag. However we turn down FAR more than we do. I have a rule of no 'castings' only do something if it is a job. I also don't do stuff in term time, or stuff that affects other plans. Basically we do a few jobs a year for a bit of fun, if I lived in London I would do stuff every month as I get enough calls.

hahahehe · 08/11/2005 09:46

Hi Tinkerbellchelle, Has your little man got his webpage now? Not going to the photoshoot but have fun....I though that the next book was currently in publication - but they must have extended it.
We have recently had to turn an audition down because we had prior commitments so hopefully we won't wait to long till we are called again. How about you....any news???

tinkerbellchelle · 08/11/2005 12:13

Hi HAHAHEHE I think they said its an additional book which they are printing or something. Oh bless thatsgood news so hopefully yeah like you said you should get another call. Yeah his webpage is up bless him.... hey even if he doesnt get a job that makes me proud.
We are just waiting to get doctor to sign the letter and then sending it straight back as they said that possibly there is still work pending so hopefully in a week or so we will know wether or not anything comes of it.
HAHAHEHE... when u went to the photo shoot do you get to keep any pics?
Hope all is well with you and hope that u do get another call soon. x if we get castings etc we'll have 2 let each other know as our little ones are quite close in age so we may be at the same one? take care x

perfumelady · 10/11/2005 09:43

hi does anybody know if all castings for tv and film are done via modelling agencies? or is there a magazine or paper that posts auditions, i know that for example the twins picked for the new harry potter film were picked through an open casting, but how do you find out about them?

hahahehe · 10/11/2005 10:09

hi perfumelady, i would say 99% of castings for children are done by agents...just because there are quite a few laws involved with children working and its easier for a company to have the safety of of an agent working with them. But every now and again you may get an advert in The Stage newspaper which come out weekly but other than that its a case of being patient! Sorry! How old is your littl un??

perfumelady · 10/11/2005 10:34

hahahehe, i have a 11 yr old dd, a 14yr old ds, and an 8 yr old(today)dd, both girls go to stage coach, but it's the 8 year old that does modelling. how olds your little one?

hahahehe · 10/11/2005 20:59

perfumelady: My little man is nearly 7 months but with 3 jobs under his belt he's an old pro now!!! Congratulations for joining Urban Angels....have heard excellent things about them and as I understand they are quite selective so I am sure your phone will be ringing soon. I will keep my fingers crossed for you x

perfumelady · 10/11/2005 21:38

oh thanks, hahahehe. i know we are really lucky to have got on board, will let you know if we get a call, keep us posted with your progress

hahahehe · 10/11/2005 22:02

perfumelady: be prepared for the short notice......we had a call tuesday at 5pm for a shoot at 10am wednesday - but we get to see my man in print so it was worth it!!!! Has your little girl done anything already??
