It is very rare for an agency to approach your little one cos they have so many people approaching them!!!! For those interested in modelling Womans Own did a good article last week on Child Modelling and it also mentioned that on 21st Feb there is a program on Discovery Health called Mini Models. I live in the south but the article mentioned what seemed to be a good agency called Kidz Limited and its offices are based in Worsley, near Manchester. I have spoken to other mothers and they all seem to think that Manchester is the equivalent to London and it is where it is all happening for those who live up north.

kazza3 · 22/02/2005 12:32

Message for JBMum how long has your little one been modelling ????

kazza3 · 22/02/2005 23:09

sorry got my dates wrong program was on yesterday

sazy123 · 23/02/2005 15:26

hi
did the progrnme mention anything interesting? about model agencies, being reputable or not?

JBMUM · 24/02/2005 17:57

GOD if someone approached me or my littleun in the street I would call the police. I don't care who they were. People can't do that in this day and age....just a thought!

JBMUM · 24/02/2005 17:59

sorry Kazza, I've got 2 modelling and been doing it for nearly 2 years in total I think. It's not all its cracked up to be though and can be hard work. I got into it because of my sisters baby doing it, so went with an agency I had heard of but it is so hard nowadays what with so many out there to choose from and so much different advice going around??????

JBMUM · 24/02/2005 18:04

sorry didn't finish and clicked post message, must be my hormones (pregnant with my second and not feeling too good today!). I have two modelling but one is my nephew because I was taking him everywhere when my sister couldn't but only one of my own that does it. I don't think I will try to sign my next baby up though cos she will be at school and a new baby and .....time to spend some precious time with little precious I think...

trace2 · 28/02/2005 13:55

hi any one know of euro kids based in manchester already been stung by models direct.

MoviemiteMum · 28/02/2005 17:21

Mum007 - You asked about Moviemites agency. As you can probably tell by my name my three children belong to Moviemites although they are not babies. They are aged 10, 11 and 13. We do get a lot of castings (particularly for the younger one) and have had work. They do represent babies too but I am not sure how much work they get for them. When I was looking for an agent I tried Scallywags but they were only interested in my youngest and didn't want my other two. Also we were looking for more acting work as opposed to modelling so we chose Moviemites and haven't regretted it.

I have the contract on my desk next to me for Eurokids in Mchr, and a photo shoot booked for Thursday... any advice on that company would be welcomed! Dunno what to do. Also been accepted by Kidz Ltd in Mchr too! Any comments?? (when I say me, I mean my 15 mth old son of course!)

trace2 · 28/02/2005 20:20

TO catoe am still trying to find out to about euro kids my two year old boy been offerd a 2year contract with them, they want a deposit 4 photo shoot. dont know what to do?

magnolia1 · 28/02/2005 21:01

My daughter has been offered contact with Bizzykidz, £94 fee but this is a one off. Really don't know how good they are??

Anyone with them?

Mechelle x

catoe · 28/02/2005 21:32

I sent £25 off... and got back the contract, directions and APplication for a Licence for your child to be allowed to work. All looks legit, but like you Im not 100% sure, was wanting somone to say its ok. Then I saw Kidz Ltd, (and noticed in earlier messages that they were recommended by Womens Own so looked them up) By the way, that program Mini Models is on daily on Discovery Health at 11am and 8:30.. missed it today, but will watch tomorrow.

Any one got any advice on Eurokids or Kidz Ltd both in Mchr?

trace2 · 28/02/2005 21:54

I also looked up kidz, its alot more expensive than euro kids, but would pay if legit. already paid out £116 to models direct, 4 three years contract, then they wanted more to upgrade, never heard from them again.

If legit sombody must know of them.

catoe · 28/02/2005 23:03

Just been on a chat room with another mum about Eurokids who said she joined last July and has not heard anything from them since. Dont suppose that means they arnt good. But apparently have lots of children on their books.

Kidz want £50 upfront then further £60 after photograph session. Thats it then. They all seem to charge the same amount.

Yawn.. tis late, off to bed now.

trace2 · 01/03/2005 10:00
