Should I have sex for money?

I'm not a troll! I post regularly but have changed my name. If you were strapped for cash and someone you knew quite well had joked about paying for it. Would you have sex for money?

We've often joked about it in the past - I'd give him a special rate etc... but it's not actually happened.

Anyway today whilst talking about one of his friends who wanted casual sex - I jokingly said I'd do it. I had a think about it and sent a text to my friend saying I do it for £150.

Would I be wrong to do it?

I have had sex with friend before now numerous times so why not take money from him? he has a partner.

His mate, now I've never seen him, so that would feel more sordid. However, money is money at the end of the day

I need the money to live on.

I would never loose him as a friend so that doesn't worry me. He joked about being my pimp, I told him I'd pay him in kind.

Yes I have offspring. If it was just once or twice the likelihood of it getting out is slim. These men (friend and his mate) don't live in my area either and they don't know any of my friends.

Nicksie - I disagree. I've always been open minded about prostitution and don't think it is wrong IF it is a womans choice.

If he was a FRIEND, and if he has £150 to be spending on prostitutes, he would give or lend you the money if you really need it to live on.

What on earth do you expect anyone on MN to say? Can you imagine the support this mans partner would get if she were to post about this man spending money on prostitutes?

I feel this was said without you really knowing exactly what your getting into. There are other ways of making money and keeping your self repect. Do you not feel you are worth being loved and respected. Or do you want to feel in control in some way? How do you think this would affect future relationships?? It hits deeper than you think.

I know i asked you what you wanted the money for, but i can't think of anything thats worth that. I've been desperate for money lots of times but it's never even crossed my mind.
Surely there is something else you can do that will let you keep your self respect ??
