SECRET KIDDIES XMAS SWAP - PLEASE READ!!!

Ok, inspired by everyones generosity and an idea I saw I'm suggesting we do a secret kiddies christmas swap.

How it would work is this. If you want to sign up your child(ren) then you list them here. Their ages (don't have to give their names)sexes and their likes and dislikes.

Then you will email me your address. I will then give each person one address and the poster whose child they are swapping presents with. The present will have a value between £1 and £5, I say value cos then you don't have to buy anything new. But it must be in good enough condition to give as a present iykwim.

So then your children would get a surprise gift from a total stranger.

Ok this sounds stupid doesn't it?

Anyone game?

and would also like to thank my very far away secret santa. was between 2 homes this week, so was worried things would go astray but it turned up. have hidden them with the rest of the prezzies.

Hogmanay · 19/12/2003 08:31

Parcel arrived today, thank you very much santaslittlehelper

santaslittlehelper · 19/12/2003 18:02

goodness me Hogmanay!
My little elves must have bee hard at it overnight!!!

santaslittlehelper · 19/12/2003 18:02

and that sounded just a little bit rude!

Hogmanay · 19/12/2003 20:10

DD tore the sellotape off the envelope straight away. Just as well you had wrapped the pressie before putting it in there.

mrsclaus · 19/12/2003 20:17

Hogmanay
I am very surprised that your DD got all of the sellotape off! It took your secret sanata a VERY long time to stick it together. And half a roll of tape I might add!
Just in case you are wondering, santaslittlehelper is out helping santa get the sleigh packed up for next week. It's a big job, but someone has to do it! I told my husband that I was wrapping some gifts...just an excuse to go on mumsnet really....!
Do you have any idea who your secret santa is yet, Jan??

Hogmanay · 19/12/2003 20:43

Not yet, cant read the postmark.
You put your Ds's name in the card but I can't think who you are.

santaslittlehelper · 19/12/2003 20:52

that santa is such a bossy boots!!!
i am very impressed that there wasn't postmark....
That may have been quite a giveaway......and that may have been a big clue......

Hogmanay · 19/12/2003 20:58

There is a postmark, I just can't read it

misdee · 20/12/2003 13:04

SENT MINE TODAY, RECORDED DELIVERY, 1ST CLASS. which could give things away lol.

JJ · 20/12/2003 13:36

This is the first thing I've checked after a week away. The box for my boys was waiting for me here (and I did open the card- thanks! - I won't say your name though, as not to eliminate you from anyone else's guesses)

And I'm glad mine got though to its recipient! I was worried about it, too.

ninjinglebells · 20/12/2003 16:55

OOh I got mine (had to go to the depot to get it) - now just got to search some details to try and figure out who it's from.

yetanothersanta · 20/12/2003 17:27

Oh good, ninjinglebells, I was getting a bit twitchy!

disorganisedsanta · 20/12/2003 20:13

philippat you should be getting yours - posted yesterday - sorry for the delay we're all sick!! Hope your dd likes it

MincePie · 20/12/2003 20:15

So...who has yet to recieve theirs??

If you are worried you can email me and I can check to see if yours is on its way.

I will put up the list on secret santas on the Sunday after Xmas day, but you'll probably all tell each other anyway!!

Hogmanay · 20/12/2003 20:25

santaslittlehelper, I am still trying to work out who you are.
Postmark says SR/NE.
Anyone know where that is please?

jammamia · 20/12/2003 22:04

Have now received mine - many thanks! DS has already had a whole afternoon of fun jumping up and down on the bubble wrap!

misdee · 20/12/2003 22:08

i think i just figured out who sent my kids their prezzies. i have just scrolled down, btw loved the little stick family in the card, dh said the curly haired kid was like one of our dd's.

ninjinglebells · 21/12/2003 09:37

W3ell I've eliminated half of you but still have more detective work to do - where's that outside wrapping?

ninjinglebells · 21/12/2003 09:38

by the way yet another santa - is there a clue in this thread somewhere?

WiShuaMerryXmas · 21/12/2003 09:58

Oh God, well if that's the case santa then I've had it. I've got nooooooooo idea who you are

SecretSanta · 21/12/2003 10:23

If you go the Royal Mail website, you can put in the first part of a postcode and they will tell you the area. Use the address finder.

santaslittlehelper · 21/12/2003 10:47

Hogmanay
I have no idea what part of the postmark means but half of it a a very good clue........

WiShuaMerryXmas · 21/12/2003 10:50

santaslittlehelper · 21/12/2003 10:56
