Hi all! Its been really interesting reading, haven't left a posting since October o5, but have continued to visit regulary and read all the posts!!!!!It all seems to have gone a little crazy. I don't know if what I have to say will help anyone, but here goes. I have 2 girls one 5 and the other 11 years old. They are both with BK and MOT Junior. I haven't had any problems with BK, they have been with them for 2 years, we've had plenty of work for the older one, but the youngest didn't get any work until she was 3, although we may not hear from them for weeks or even months then it goes mad! They are also fanrastic when kids do get jobs with lots of communication and support. So I don't think this is a great agency for kids under 3, I read that someone had said BK wanted £90 plus, this new to me, we paid approx £36 for web-site for life, and pics about £70, although I only once took the girls for a pic with the BK photographer, pics were great, but I've heard alot of casting agents say that that they prefer more natural pics of the kids as I have heard the opposite as well! MOT Junior, what a fantastic agency, my girls have been with them for 4 months and my mob does NOT stop ringing, I must speak to them 3 or 4 times a week, for mainly jobs and the odd casting ( I don't normally do casting, but will if my 11 yr old wants to go and its out of school time and they pay my expenses)they've done, toys r us, mothercare, matalan, girls talk mag, butlins, tomy to name a few, they are really friendly, very understanding, and as sooo many job offers do not expect me to take them all, I pick and choose! MOT charge no fee, no interview fee ( they said agents by law should't charge these fees) the pics were £110 for the,two girls and we also got a free 10x 8 pics, and the contact sheets, and the offer to get more at a very good price!!! The model fee book ( optional) is £60, you do not have to pay this, its taken out of there 1st job, Any GOOD agency will do this. Its fab. I do know of other very GOOD agencies that either friends are with, or ma's I have met on jobs. Also when my daughter has gone to castings or for example magazine work, she has worked from kids from other agencies, alot of casting agents use various agencies to find kids, so here goes on the agencies, Sandra Reynolds ( fab) based in Morwich ( I think!) Bruce and Brown, Norrie Carr, Scallywags ( although they have 1000 kids on there books they have tons of work and my local education authority say they are ultra busy and very effient). There is a down side to this modelling lark, and yep its great to see ya kids in print ( I love it!!) it IS hard work, and sooooo late minute, the most notice I've had in 2 years is 2 days, its normally the day before ( and not only London, I've travelled to Ipswich, Leicestershire, oxford). I got a call today at 12 for a casting for my youngest today in London, to be there between 4-6! Def had to turn it down as got eldest to think about too! We only got into it, because my eldset begged me, now the youngest has just followed into it, and they both LOVE it, so I can not just stop, however if I knew then what I know now, I don't think I would have got into it, don't get me wrong, we've had fun, kids are loaded ( more dosh than me!) but it can be a huge inconvenience to all your family. Though please do not let me put you off, thats just my opinion, look forward too seeing how you all do, at your interviews/ awaiting feed back from agencies. HAPPY MODELLING!!!!!
