As an offshoot of the Baby Modelling thread here is the new and improved thread for all questions you may have regarding agencies, the industry or just to relate general experiences. The last thread is hereby laid to rest - it was 5 YEARS OLD! Jeez!

If you want to DEBATE or CRITICISE go to the "Child Modelling - Debate" thread.

izzy that's what i wanted to know do they require sole rep? which one looks your dd what page?
none of them look like ds, as ds has a mop of hair! they said about his hair and said i should grow it! they dont take babies on until 6 months.
we are going at 4.10pm anyone near this time?

mykidsmum · 27/01/2006 17:44

Actually tell alie, they have been asked for a job up north before but we couldn't make it so there probably is work, just perhaps not as much x

yackertyyack · 27/01/2006 21:53

oh my goodness, i want to join inspired models - their photos are beautiful. Only just realised that you can scroll through each child and they have about 8 for each. I would pay for just the photo session!! I am jealous now .... plus the kids are stunning!!

cyan · 27/01/2006 21:58

yackerty it's so nice isnt it! and the kids are bloomin gorgeous! the only thing is i wish i new someone who'd had some experience of them, they've only been established for a year, the kids division so not sure what to do!!!!!!
how olds your ds? prob told us already but there's so many postings on here!

7777777 · 27/01/2006 22:03

are you not watching big bruv final girls!

yackertyyack · 27/01/2006 22:08

my cheeky chap is 10 months ..... I would just love the photos, they are so natural - yet stunning!!! It is difficult deciding who to go with but I reckon one of the advantages of them being new is that they will be busting a gut to get established....plus they are open long hours!!
7's I am watching big bruv over my sholder!!!

7777777 · 27/01/2006 22:10

cyan · 27/01/2006 22:25

thanks izzy. are you still going to the urban shoot? i think i will go because id still like to have some snaps of ds even if we dont get signed or we don't decide to go with them. is your house sorted now? hope the party goes well. i have to go to bed soon, ive got mock exams tomorrow and so not going to pass! did dan say when you could have the photos done? did you ask who any of his clients were?xxx

cyan · 27/01/2006 22:27

yackerty i can do at least 8 things at once!!!!! god im stressing now about these crappy exams. i cancelled my contract today and they were ok about it. so now just need to sort out what we are going to do! inspired are also into promoting kids internationally maybe not for ds age as a bit young but sounds good. think kl do too

wow izzy CONGRATULATIONS.....what is your DD going to be doing???
Must admit I was very impressed with IK website and I am not even looking to change agents! Its nice to hear from someone who is with the agent to get some idea of what they are like but from the sounds of your interview they are really concerned that you are happy before you go with them rather than just wanting your money!!
Good luck with choosing! Plus don't know what your other half is like but if mine were impressed then that would be a good sign as men don't get as carried away as we do!!!!

alliep30 · 28/01/2006 11:33

Hello everyone. God i've missed loads..can you no talk without me as i don't know what's going on now!!!! General idea I think is that IK is fab....their website is great..

Cyan love, glad u feel a bit better!

izzy, congrats with your job..was it thru AK????

anything else that i missed, apart from BB. Sorry 7's, I let the side down there but I WENT OUT WITH THE GIRLS!!!!! Haven't done that for ages, but felt an old fogey when a cute young guy approached me, only to ask me if I was Elliott's mum, and he's a young whipper snapper who teaches him football at school..i knew i recognised him from somewhere!!! Now I know why i don't go out often... thats all that has happened in the world of allie..

perfumelady · 28/01/2006 12:18

i'm so glad that i have found an agency that i'm so happy with, i would hate to be in the situation that so many of you seem to be in about which agency is going to be the best one to join. all i would say is be cautious about i.k , i admit there website looks fab and from what you've said they talk the talk but for some reason models direct springs to my mind, personally i would wait to see if you can get any feedback from other mums on maybe another forum because it seems a lot of money to pay out to an agency that you know nothing about. for example we all no that bruce and brown are one of the elite agencies but there website is one of the most basic i've seen. i would be more inclinde to put my money with an agency that charges a lot less and that is known within the industry. good luck to you all with your tough decisions.
