Since we have lost our way back to the thread having it posted somehwere other then chat it may hang around longer. So this time our breadcrumbs lead back to Other Subjects, sounds fascinating doesn't it?!

Anyway, NWG, KAQ, TW, and others, all welcome, to loiter and banter, I hope my link works cause they seldom have in the past.

Not quite :)

seashore · 03/05/2011 14:52

Oh I think I have!

Been reading a bunch of Maggie O'Farrell books here, very addictive.

Ha Ha

Just looking at the number of 'Threads I'm On' where there are no follow up comments. It's quite upsetting in an odd, unhappy-to-be-thread-killing way :)

KickArseQueen · 09/05/2011 01:14

I recently discovered I hadn't only killed all the threads I was on, but I had no "I'm ons"!!! There also seem to be some new or renamed poster since I've been got who are...angry and a bit bloomin orrible!!!

How are u doing NWG??

And everyone else of course :)

seashore · 13/05/2011 14:33

sorry to hear that KAQ, it can be tough out there! Some folks are just looking for a place to dump their frustrations Sad and should just grow up really Smile

Meh! can't worry about it! Probably giving me crap is stopping them starting on their husbands LOL!

Much better thanks KAQ, will see doctor on Thursday this week after blood tests etc a couple of weeks back. Hope everyone had a good Easter break and if you were interested in that wedding, enjoyed that day too...

Came across AmazingBouncingFerret the other day but see she has still not come to this thread for ages (if at all - think I sent her a link in December!)

Anyway, life goes on. My cat seems to want to be out day and night, but I tempted her in this morning about 4am, as she was shivering and I was concerned... had been wet night here, and she is getting older (about 12 years now) so really don't want her to get cat flu or anything nasty...

seashore · 18/05/2011 10:20

My cat here is 9 yrs, suppose she is starting to get on, she is such a small cat (cause of tough start in life) I still think of her as quite young. We had a cat dumped here in the winter, we got her to a professional who said they would have no trouble getting her a home in England (she brings dogs and cats there) she was a lovely cat, very friendly, I'm sure she is well settled in a new home by now.

NWG, is there a shed or some place that your cat can shelter in? maybe you have a cat-flap, sounds like she is busy hunting.

DD watched a bit of the wedding, she was so surprised to find out that there are real princes and princesses, she thought they were only in stories!

Well, there is the glasshouse, depending on whether the hedgehog has moved in or not (saw one drinking her milk the other night, before it scurried off down past me [standing in the porch with the door open] towards the back garden).

I have tempted my cat back in at 2 or 3am a few nights running now, with the lure of 'supper' so I know if she gets no food from me after about 5-6pm she will come home, but I might try to shift everything 3-4 hours earlier so I can sometimes sleep normal hours!

As for her being "busy hunting" - no, I really doubt that - she curls up in one of about 3 or 4 spots in different neighbours' gardens - all of them cat owners - as if to provoke their cats she can "go where she likes". So just now, when I opened the porch door and tapped my key on a cat food tin lid, she jumped out of the hedge from a spot where she had probably been cyrled up just dozing... she had come to have a bite of food earlier, but when I brought the dish back into the porch, she turned and walked off. I knew if she thought about it for an hour, she would give in and enter the porch, so she will at least spend a few hours in the warm, even though she gave one of those strange "I might be sick in 2 minutes" wails (do you know that one?)

Ah, well I suppose there are not so many items in the press about Princes and Princesses, since foreign royal families hardly get a mention and ours are not highlighted that often, compared with the economy and politics and wars....

Then again, opening an arts festival or building hardly compares with events in Egypt, Middle East, or world economic crisis, let alone Japan and so forth.

Sadly, an earthquake in south eastern Spain, where several people died, hardy got a mention last Wednesday (11/05).

Hi all, been away for a while, my Mum has had a small stroke, think she's going to be ok, it's been a stressful time, just have to wait and see really ...

Hope your Mum is getting better. My Mum had a slight stroke on New Years Day back in 1981, and just got up and went into work (she was a station announcer). Felt as if she had slept badly on one side, she said later, because her left arm and leg felt numb.

Anyway, she was announcing at 7am and in an ambulance by 7.15 as the deputy station manager had reports of her being 'drunk and being difficult to understand' but as soon as he saw her (her face was a little lopsided) he knew what had happened...

They did force her to retire at that point as she was over 60, but she enjoyed life right up to her late 70s.

NetworkGuy · 04/07/2011 02:43

Came across ABF in another thread yesterday so have linked to this one and she might appear again after ... how many months ? :)

AmazingBouncingFerret · 04/07/2011 08:04

I've never claimed to be organised and efficient. Grin Although once I forget to do something I do the forgetting very well!

Hope your mum is feeling better seashore.

Last few days in N Wales (though in three weeks will be in local hospital hopefully recovering from a minor operation)....

Staying in N Staffs from Thursday then spending about a week alone as sister (who sold this house and forced a move) goes away with her husband, and then I move to Liverpool (where the plan was to have 50 Mbps internet, but home sister chose is likely to get only 10% of that speed, so think I will move again within months to somewhere bigger with fast BB).

Really disappointed even though house is ready to move into with no problems or work needed.

NetworkGuy · 03/04/2012 18:14

Operation still hasn't taken place.

Had to have my cat Sophia put to sleep on Tuesday last week. Really miss her.
Lived with me from December 2004 and now there's a big gap when I wake up.

KickArseQueen · 16/04/2012 00:42

Hi Networkguy, really sorry to hear about your cat!
I lost my cat and I don't think I will have another, my life is too complicated with unwell parents and children. Maybe one day I'll end up being the crazy lady up the road with all the cats. In the mean time tho, there is a cat out there somewhere who is currently waking up every morning and remembering they have lost their owner, you two should meet up! You could call it Gigabite ;) In seriousness I hope you are ok.

Seashore, sorry to hear about your mum!

ABF Glad you are still bouncing about.

Oh and NWG, Nice slide in, but you won't be the killer ;) I will!!!!! Grin

NetworkGuy · 16/04/2012 12:21

LOL KAQ !

Yes, shame and I have just hidden an ornament with a cat on that I bought at Christmas (cat with one paw on a present!) as I kept seeing it in the kitchen and got upset on a daily basis...

I'm in no rush to get another cat right now, though feel sure when I've done some travelling (have not been away since 1999) I will be ready to provide food shelter and some TLC to another...
