I liked Prefab Sprout.

Most of the bands I hate have pre-pubescent boys in them.

Iirc XTC and Prefab Sprout were ok (mind you, haven't listened to any of their stuff for years).

I didn't, and still, don't like The Clash or The Stranglers.

Don't like Santana or Deep Purple but love jazz, blues, folk, xtc, jethro tull, pink floyd, julian cope, nick drake and other teenage angst driven music

Just hate Eric Clapton and Chris De Burgh

loved the clash, and the stranglers, and The damned, and Joy Division, and XTC and pINK fLOYD AND lED zEP, AND mETALLICA, AND Black Sabbath and Jethrp Tull and everything.

Except Shania Twain. Don't like her.

I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when my favourite live band (The Levellers) did a Clash tribute couple of years ago at Beautiful Days....with Billy Bragg doing an intro for Joe Strummer's birthday!
