Oasis - The Reunion (Definitely?! Maybe?!)

Ok, slightly a TAAT....

I'm putting this here for all those that are actually happy and quite excited about the prospect of Oasis getting back together.

For me, Oasis was the soundtrack to my coming of age, venture into adulthood. I was 19 when DM was released, and I still play it often.

My first Oasis gig was Knebworth - 4 hours I spent on the phone trying to get tickets for me and my friends!

Lucky enough to see them a further 6 times over the years, one of the best was on the Dig out your soul tour at Bournemouth with a full gospel choir, it really was magnificent.
Also saw them at Wembley stadium, the last night of 3 when they played Whatever - they rarely played it and it was the first time in years, again such a moment and just a couple of months before they fell out.

So, I know I'm in a minority on here but I'm definitely getting up tomorrow before 0800 (which will be a pain as I'm on a 12 hour late shift later!)

There will be signed contracts and insurance. These guys aren't falling out or cancelling anything!

Any presale access?

It's a shame that there are no European dates.
I'll be trying for Cardiff or London, not suffering Heaton Park again (as PP, also at the Stone Roses, dreadfully organised!)
And I'll be seated, absolutely no way I'll be standing in the pit, been there and done that!

I think there will be European dates, they just haven't announced them yet. I dug out my old tour t-shirt from 2009 and I can just about squeeze into. I now have the motivation to lose weight so I can wear it again next year at Wembley (fingers crossed!).

I'm going to try and get tickets for Cardiff. I think it'll be amazing, like other PP's they were the soundtrack to my 20s and 30s. It's really brought the snobs out on some threads.... if you don't like them, whatever.

As someone who can't be in the same room as their sister, I admire their tenacity in finding a way past their troubles.

I'm also very excited about this.

My teenage and young adult years were peppered with oasis.

All three of my dc (15,20 and 26) have their ticket master accounts ready and we are setting up with a few different devices here on Saturday morning ready.

Loaded my bank card on ready aswell and checked all details are up to date.

My eldest has seen LG many times on tour over the years.

I think they were born listening to oasis and they are in every playlist in this house.

I've done the pre sale ballot.

Really hoping to get an email but it states on the site due to high volumes the emails may be delayed so will be refreshing that all day tomorrow

I’m looking at the presale ballot page but it wants me to accept SMS marketing, and says ‘message and data rates may apply’. Does that mean I’ll be charged to receive their texts and messages? It’s not something I’d normally agree to but it won’t let me proceed without agreeing. I only want email communication!

Anyone know how much tickets will be?
How can we prepare if we don't know the cost?

I've done it too but still waiting for confirmation email since about 11.00 last night. It did say there might be a delay, but this long?? I know I'm not the only one.

I’ve preemptively blocked receiving premium rate texts in my mobile provider’s app just in case. Wouldn’t be that surprised if they were going to make the most of this money making opportunity…

Stressful! I was initially excited at the prospect of seeing them but it all seems like a lot of hard work with no guarantee of tickets at the end of it all. Must be getting old!

I've not received a confirmation email, but my partner who did it at the same time has. Guess the website is groaning under the pressure!

Oh I know - I’m out on Friday night too! So now have to drag myself out of bed early on Saturday to spend hours hitting refresh, with no doubt little chance of success! Ha!
