oh god I'm totally bringing pumps with me as well, probably won't put my heels on until I get to the pub!

I did think of that Tonight as I went to Ascot last week and managed all afternoon in really high heels cos we all wore flats for all the walking there and back, but I want to only bring a little shoulder bag with me that just fits in my phone and money etc so I won't have space for shoes. I'll see how I feel about it on Saturday.

I'm sure your purple pumps will be funky enough :-) really looking forward to it - DH set off for glasto this morning and looking at the weather I actually think I've got the better deal, though I'd love to go next year...hope Cee-lo does this version of crazy - its one of my absolute favourite live performances I've seen, Prince took the song to a whole new level and looked majestic..

Yes I had a great time too and lovely to meet up. Although I did feel like everyone could have sung more Prince songs, rather than their own songs. I think the best thing was being with so many other Prince fans and it was a really mixed bunch, loads of youngsters as well as oldies like me! It was a fab evening!

Hi all! From what I have seen the BET tributes were all amazing, especially Sheila E and co, fabulous, I find these tributes so sad to watch though, really brings home what a superstar we have lost.

Thanks Tonight, what an interesting article. Funnily enough when I told my Mum that the tribute we went to was for an Autism charity and that Prince had done concerts before for that charity, she asked if Prince was autistic. I said that I wasn't aware that he was but thinking about it, he had loads of traits so I wouldn't be at all surprised. So obsessive about his music and wanting to control everything in his life, it certainly rings bells with me, having a son with Aspergers. The savant thing is fascinating.

Yeah he was certainly on the spectrum I would say, and I think he was probably aware of it hence he supported autism charities and openly admitted to finding speaking in public difficult, just makes me love him even more, that he must have battled to overcome it at times but still made sure he always performed and shared his talent with us all 💜💜💜💜💜
