Great article Destiny, I read it the other day, it's so true that there's such a stigma attached to addiction, and so sad that if that wasn't the case Prince might still be alive.
After all that excitement last night I couldn't get to sleep so only got a few hours in the end. Early to bed tonight definitely!

Apparently there's going to be a Prince museum on Facebook soon, great idea!

So I've carried on with my Prince marathon today, Controversy before work, 1999 on the way to work, Purple Rain on the way home and I'm half way through Sign O' The Times. I don't have Around The World in a Day or Parade yet so I just listened to a few tracks from each of them on YouTube, before I started on SOTT. It will all slow down now tho cos I've only got Lovesexy on vinyl, Diamonds and Pearls on cassette, The Hits/B-Sides on my iPod and The Gold Experience on cassette. Oh and Planet Earth on cd. It sounds like I've got loads but there's at least 31 albums I haven't got!

Wow that's some marathon!

My friend came over today and uploaded all his Prince stuff onto my laptop. So I now have all of his albums, including 12" remixes, except HitnRun 2!

Got a lot of listening to do now!

I know what you mean Shboogie I am kind of overwhelmed by the amount of stuff on tidal there is it's like where do I start!! He was such a powerhouse blessed us with so much great music

I'd struggle to make a top 10 of Prince songs to be honest - too many good ones to choose between.

It's an interesting read on why we might not know anymore about his death.
I wondered why, we knew so much about Whitney and MJ's death but not Prince.
It's all to do with Minnesota state law, which of course, provides more privacy in these cases.

Ive been listening to a lot of his later music recently and there's a lot of references to going back home ( ie dying) also about not belonging here and wanting to be alone😥I think because of his strong religious beliefs, he wasn't afraid of dying and he definitely believed in the Afterlife. I hope he's at peace now...

I'm not religious but I do find his sentiments quite beautiful really.

Yes destiny I was thinking the same thing, and he covered creep @ cochella 'I don't belong here'..also really like the stuff he did in the past few years actually, smooth whilst still funky with very profound lyrics - I think he was giving out a message, I guess he probably knew everyone would rush to listen to these after he died..I wonder if he did record something that night, I read that he did supposedly...the fact that there was a rainbow over Paisley park that morning gives me great comfort 🌦

Yes the rainbow over Paisley Park and we actually had snow in April!

I know computer that also, little signs to let people know he was happy, what did you think of emancipation? I wasn't sure..It wasn't funky enough for me! I think he made that album to make a point to the record company because it is something they would never have released, it being so long and so different from his previous work...
