Destiny Thanks for the new thread - I'm another one that felt shock and disappointment when I saw the other thread had ended!

Mayte's tattoo is gorgeous. I'm still not brave enough to get one, even one dedicated to Prince.

We saw a 'Prince on board' sign in a car today. Dh quipped that perhaps Prince had one in his hearse. I made it clear why I didn't think that was funny. He then bought me a new handbag.

Strangely, whenever dh buys me new underwear it's always purple! So the man does have some taste. Very tempted to buy more following those links though!

Catching up with all the videos, some great stuff.

Nikki thanks for posting that article, it really captures how radical and forward thinking Prince was on so many levels, gender, sexuality, image, musically and lyrically. He really was a man of ideas as much as a brilliant musician.

There just isn't anyone like him now. Most modern music to me feels so soulless and empty really.

I love how different all of his music is too destinys, there's a very different feel to each time period and album. And how he changed his image so often, even more than Madonna I reckon!

I'm really enjoying the sign o' the times and lovesexy albums atm, these seem to be what I'm listening to most. What is everyone else's favourite Prince album? Hard to choose I know!

It is hard to choose as they are so different! SOTT is probably the most consistent but 1999 is brilliant, Parade has some great stuff in it and Lovesexy is v upbeat and danceable.

Impossible to choose a favourite, but I have been listening to Parade a lot recently and I absolutely love it

His albums are all so different and each is such a work of art in its own right!

And I don't know his more recent ones yet, sure there's some good stuff on there. And of course there are all the songs in the Vault!!

I'm listening to The Gold Experience quite a lot at the minute...just waiting for payday so I can make some more purchases!

Today I've listened to parade, love sexy and now sott, all of them are good - I think Sott is my fav because I love starfish & coffee and if I was your girlfriend, but all 3 are special as I just starting to listen to music in the years when those albums came out - I'd forgotten about girls and boys love that! I used to play the charts and tape the songs I liked so I never got to listen to whole albums, making up for that now though, determined to listen to everything..

Maybe I love The Gold Experience too which are your favourite tracks? Standouts for me are Gold, Billy Jack Bitch and Eye Hate U , of course The most beautiful girl in the world which is lovely, We March also good

I also love The Ballad of Dorothy Parker from sott, some pure genius as work there but then this is Prince we are talking about why would I expect anything less?

My favourite albums is Parade. I dont have it on cd though. I hadnt listened to it for at least 20 years and put I on youube after he died and was blown away. Buying it on payday.
SOTT would be my next favourite.

Parade is my go to album. It reminds me of a good(ish) time in my life and I love the way he looked in the film and around that time period. I love Mountains but don't really know why!
