This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnet users who have been testing Stikins stick on name labels. This product was open to UK Mumsnet users who have at least one child at primary school.

I accidentally put my name instead of my daughter’s name. This was my error as I was doing it quickly after I got interrupted the first time and had to fill it all in again (which didn’t take long to be fair).

1. Were you pleased with the service you received? Why? Did the confirmation email provide you with all the information that you needed?

The confirmation email I received showed very clearly the name of the stickers which is how I knew I’d completed it wrong in the website. It provided an email address to be able to request any amends and I very quickly received confirmation that it would be amended. Unfortunately as this was then done manually, the stickers I received had a typo, but when I messaged, it was not a problem and I received the correct ones very quickly after (possibly even the next day).

Pretty standard.

Very easy to use and the instructions were clear.

The first one came off the water bottle in the dishwasher but I think this was my fault as it got caught on a prong - need to be careful in positioning the stickers. The second attempt was more successful and it still there. The lunchbox sticker has survived very well so far.

I'm disabled and struggle with my hands so name labelling is always really hard. Peeling the stickers is tricky for me due to this but everything else was easy.

I thought it was very simple, straightforward and extremely easy to use.
There's no fancy little extras, which I really liked. They're just very simple, effective labels, and the website reflects this by being simple and effective.

Yes, very. Delivery was so quick too, I was very shocked they arrived the next day!

Very well packed. The labels were in a nice clear pack and were very easy to remove to use.

So easy. The size was perfect, easy to peel off from the backing paper, and instructions were very simple too.

Extremely well so far. The real test will be how well they last at the end of term! I would definitely buy them again though, and would recommend. The price is so reasonable and the delivery super quick. Just what you want!

Sorry for my late response, I've had a few family issues to deal either today so my apologies but here are my answers to the questions...

The website was clear/easy to understand and navigate. Was fantastic to be able to see a preview of the named label before purchasing.

The email came within seconds of ordering the product with all relevant information which again was clear.

The packaging was simple, clear and kept to a minimum which was great, there was no excessive packaging at all, although I did think the plastic bag wasn't very necessary. Just a simple piece of tissue paper or paper to protect the front of the labels would be enough.

The instructions were simple and very clear/easy to understand. It was super easy to stick the labels to the chosen items.

I have only washed the items once and so far so good but that still remains to be seen! The water bottle and packed lunch box have lasted well so far so I'm quite impressed they haven't moved out of place.

The labels only come in black print on a white background. I think the option to have a coloured label or the option of a simple picture could be useful for children who are unable/learning to read.

Thank you for the chance ti try these labels. They are a huge improvement over sew in ones. They are working well so far. If they last I would be very impressed. I have a stamp for my elder daughter which is very good and her name stayed on her uniform until she out grew it and has stayed in her bag and books for years now, but doesn't work on black clothes. If they don't wash off in the new few months for this reason I would buy the labels again.

Have washed a few times now. Labels still look the same. No budging, wrinkling, bits peeling off or finding loose labels in the washing machine.

I’ve used several other types of sticky labels and these are the best I’ve tried. I’ll be buying more.

Super easy. Just peel and stick. Were the instructions on how to do so clear and easy to follow? Yes, although hard to apply to clothing if there isn't a large enough care label as you stick the stickers onto that rather than the actual clothing - which also means that cutting off the care label would cut off the name tag. Might make it difficult if your child hates the feel of labels on clothes.

All labels have survived well so far. Water bottles are washed in the dishwasher and their labels haven't faded or started to peel off. I would definitely purchase again for water bottles, lunch boxes etc, though for clothing items I'd probably prefer something that attached to the actual item of clothing rather than its label.

Email was good, I was disappointed slightly with delivery as I received it on Saturday when I had placed an order on 1st June and I started getting Mumsnet emails to fill in the survey but order was delivered only on 19th June. I know others had received it as I saw feedbacks but mine took too long.

Unfortunately my labels have slipped now....have anyone else's?

Hi @Russell19 mine have been good on coats, bottles, hats etc but unfortunately it peeled straight off his jumper.
I really like to position the label in the centre of the back of the neck so it’s really easy for him to spot if it’s his jumper or not, without having to ask a teacher. I don’t really expect 4-5-6 yr olds to search for the care label, but they can usually recognise their name if they can see the label.
So i’m really not a fan of sticking it onto a care label.
I wasn’t sure if the reason the label came off was that i wash at 60 due to allergies, or if it was that i stuck it onto the jumper directly.

It would be interesting to know if others have had issues if they wash at 60.

Mine too lost stickynes, water bottles ones have faded to almost vanished would not buy these

We do wash everything after one use/wear dud to covid but have 5 sets of uniform so washed once a week expected them to last better really.
