This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnet users who have been testing Stikins stick on name labels. This product was open to UK Mumsnet users who have at least one child at primary school.

1. What did you think about the Stikins website? Did you think the website was user friendly? The website was very easy to use, only a few clicks and they were ordered. I dislike having to click more than 3 pages if I just want to order 1 thing, fortunately this website was short and sweet.

I did have instructions, but I don't think it's necessary to have instructions on how to use a sticker. Maybe because I'm used to labelling clothes now I just stick them on whatever and hope for the best.

I will buy these again, but will ay if the option to add a picture was there it'd be lovely.

I found the website easy to navigate to find the product I wanted. The drop down menu makes it easy to find the section of the website that I want and ordering was very quick and straightforward. The website is bright and vibrant. There is plenty of information about the labels themselves, how to use them, what they can be used on, sizes, font style, etc, as well as lots of reviews plus links to their social media channels so you can get to know more about the brand and it's products.

1. Were you pleased with the service you received? Why? Did the confirmation email provide you with all the information that you needed?

Yes, I felt the entire process from browsing the website to receiving the labels worked efficiently and professionally. I liked that I not only received my confirmation email but also updates regarding dispatch and delivery. The confirmation email contained all the info I required regarding my order, and there were ways to contact Stikins if I had any queries. The order arrived very quickly, having been dispatched the day after I ordered, which I thought was excellent service. It's good that delivery is included in the price so you know exactly what you're going to pay before ordering, rather than getting to the checkout stage and discovering additional costs.

1. When your order arrived, what did you think of the packaging and information enclosed?

They arrived in an A5-ish sized envelope, in good condition, and with the brand artwork across the front it won't get lost in with your mail. Inside the envelope, the labels were packaged in a polythene pouch which is handy for storing them in between uses. The pouch has the instructions for use printed on one side, which is helpful and practical. There are a couple of leaflets enclosed, with prices and ordering options. These can be kept as a reminder for future ordering or could be given to friends and family who might be interested in ordering the labels.

1. How easy was it to use the labels/put the labels onto clothes and other items? Were the instructions on how to do so clear and easy to follow?

These were so easy to use. Just peel them off the backing paper and apply to the wash-care label on clothing or directly to countless other items, using the thumb to smooth in place and ensure adhesion, as per the instructions. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, with specific information regarding how long to leave them in place before washing, and a handy warning that as they are made from soft plastic they shouldn't be ironed.

I used them on uniforms, shoes, PE kit, lunch boxes, drinks bottles, homework folder.

They have survived amazingly well. I ensured I washed the clothing at 40° or less as the instructions stipulated and they have stayed in place with no curling and no fading of the print. On drinks bottles and lunch boxes I really tested them out by scrubbing vigorously when washing and they remained firmly fixed in place with no degradation of the print. Really impressed with the quality and adhesion, and so grateful to not have to sew in labels on clothing or continually replace regular stickers on drinks bottles and lunch boxes.

I've taught my kids that my phone number is on the stickers and should they ever get lost, show a grown-up the stick on their coat, cardi or shoes.

Very pleased with the service. I received my confirmation email straight away detailing my order and with information on what to do if I'd made any mistakes when ordering.

I placed my order at 10.50am and it arrived in the post the following day in a Stikins branded envelope. The labels themselves were inside a handy plastic envelope with the instructions for use printed on it. The information is very clearly laid out and easy to follow for use on clothing, shoes and other items.

Incredibly easy to use the labels. The labels were super easy to peel from the backing sheet and place on the items. The instructions clearly laid out how to do so and are very easy to follow.

Absolutely no fading or marks on the print at all. My first use was on a name label on a coat which I put straight in the wash. When it came out, the label had moved and was easy to pick up but that was my fault for not waiting 24 hours before washing as stated in the instructions. I put the label to the side while I carried on sorting the laundry and when I came back to it it had stuck firm. I waited a couple of days before washing the school shirts and they stuck firm throughout washing and drying on the line. Haven't washed the backpack but the label hasn't budged and the water bottle label has survived being carried around on the outside of the backpack and being washed with no movement from it.

Would recommend these labels, brilliant customer service and very easy to use.

Really pleased - my order arrived the next day which was much quicker than I expected. Stickers looked great, very plain so not babyish for older kids. My boy is 10 and wouldn't want a motif on there.

Labels arrived just before eldest went to pgl so they were stuck on everything!!! They came off one of the water bottles but have stuck to everything else including through washing!

Very impressed with how they have remained stuck.

The website was very easy to navigate and I was fully informed about dispatch via email. The item arrived very quicklyand came in a protective wallet with clear step by step instructions on how to apply. I have used them on jumpers, shirts, trousers, bag, water bottle, lunch box with no issues. I haven't yet washed the items so don't know how well the labels will hold up but they look like they will withstand numerous washes. My only negative is that the labels are very plain - black text on white background with no option to jazz them up a bit.

Amazing product. We’ve used these for some time and have never had one label fall off in the wash. We tend to stick them everywhere we can find somewhere to stick them because my son’s class is forever clothes swapping! We’ve always had everything returned that was labelled which is miracle.

Yes I was very pleased, the confirmation email helped confirm I’d ordered correctly and how long roughly I’d have to wait for my order. The order arrived really quickly and was packaged nicely too.

They were really easy to use. I’ve used others which were a nightmare to take off the backing paper but these came off super easy and were very quick to apply. I followed the instructions but to be honest they were pretty self explanatory to use.

I usually like to use iron on ones on school clothes etc. But I used these on things like hats and football shirts which obviously can't be ironed on. As well as books, bags etc.

Have lasted very well so far (only been a few weeks but no signs of peeling or coming off). The print is fairly big so my Reception son can easily read his name. I also put labels on my elderly grandmother's clothes (she's in a care home) and the bigger the better font for her!

My only issue, which is with all stickers - not specifically these - is that they can be unpeeled/pulled off and often have to be stuck on the washing label (not the clothes themselves) so could be cut off items if someone wanted to steal them. For this reason I usually use iron in. As I say; these were great on items that can't be ironed or which I needed to label up quickly and didn't have time to get the iron out!

It was super, super easy. Literally peel and stick. No more sewing EVER!

We went a bit label-crazy, sticking them on water bottles, water bottle spouts, caps, ballet bags, shoes (inside), watch strap, book bags and a couple of bits of school uniform (new PE shorts and polos)

So far I can't see any signs of wear at all. V impressed. not even a scuff on the water bottle labels despite being dropped multiple times a day

The confirmation email came very quickly, and included contact details for customer service in case you need to change your order which I thought was useful.

I actually received three emails after placing my order, which seemed a bit much. I didn't read the other two, so can't say what was in them.

The order arrived very quickly. There was no unnecessary packaging, and it came with useful instructions.

The instructions were very clear and easy, although it's not a complicated process. You just peel them off and stick them on.

School clothes labels, and a water bottle.

I've waited until now to comment because I wanted to see how the labels coped in the washing machine. They've been through three times, and are still completely stuck on. I haven't tried them at 60 yet.

The drinks bottle has been through the dishwasher at least 10 times and is still completely stuck on - I have been very impressed with that, because the label is 'just a sticker'!

Overall, I've been impressed. If the labels are still going strong at the end of term, I'll be ordering more for next year and my other DC.
