Pink Parcel and bettybox have asked us to find Mumsnetters to test their monthly subscription boxes with their daughters. To take part, you’ll need to be a Mumsnetter who uses femcare products and/or have a daughter using femcare products.

Some information from Pink Parcel and bettybox below:

Pink Parcel: “Pink Parcel is the UK’s No1 period subscription box that unites periods and pampering to make your time of the month fuss-free and fabulous. Delivered to your door monthly on a day of your choosing each box contains over £40 of femcare and beauty products including a luxe curation of cult beauty brands, herbal teas and artisan chocolates. You can select your choice of tampons, pads or a mix of both from all your trusted femcare brands. This super convenient box ensures you’ll never run out of femcare products again.”

bettybox: “bettybox is the perfect pick me up for girls. As well as all their trusted femcare products, they can expect sweet treats, make-up, stationery and more all from brands specially selected for teens. Choose from all your favourite femcare brands and receive your monthly box with treats worth up to £30 delivered for free directly to your door. You’ll never have to worry about running out of pads again!”

If selected to take part, you’ll need to give your feedback on a thread on Mumsnet as well as completing a short survey. All who complete the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Please click here to sign up.

Thanks and good luck!

I really can’t buy into this periods are taboo thing either - to be honest I would rather buy Bodyform products because at least they have started to show real blood.

This statement particularly concerns me www.pink-parcel.com/uk/words-we-use

NerrSnerr · 17/03/2018 12:40

OutsideContextProblem bloody hell what a balls up if they should have already sent out the replacements.

I'm not testing but was routing for the company as I feel they got an unfair slating before the test (no one jumps on the nappy product tests about how crap they are for the environment etc) but they've clearly fucked up big time.

FromBothSidesNow · 17/03/2018 12:47

I'm puzzled by that statement because with the best will in the world I don't understand why anyone who doesn't menstruate is part of the 'community' of a company that sells boxes of sanpro. Unless they're buying them for someone else, in which case they wouldn't expect any marketing materials to be aimed at them. It reads as pointless virtue signalling really.

ShotsFired · 17/03/2018 12:56

Sweet jesus could they be any more overtly and painfully "look how right-on and down with the kids we are!"?

While simultaneously upholding some very antiquated and unhelpful views (starting with the ridiculous name and, as pp says, "taboo" theory)

This whole concept seems more damaging than anything.

Nousernameforme · 17/03/2018 15:57

Yes we got the email which is why I am assuming that we won't be getting one as that was a while ago now
Has anyone received their second yet do we know?

Angelfaced · 17/03/2018 18:57

Hi do i leave my review now or are there set questions to answer mumsnet?

MaureenSowerbutts · 18/03/2018 13:03

We got both boxes, albeit DDs one was completely squashed, ripped and had the wrong name.

Had the betty box gone through the letter box I would have seriously considered subscribing for DD. This all appears to have been such a massive fail though and the lack of communication has been really surprising.

JugglingMummyof2 · 19/03/2018 22:11

Not received the second one yet - only the information that it was sent the week before last.
I now can't get a response to my email either.

I didn't receive an email saying that they were sending out a second box although like everyone else my daughter's was addressed to someone else. Did everyone receive the email?

Well, I've contacted MNHQ because i haven't received any boxes, wrong, or otherwise, and did get a reply.

Not really expecting anything now to be honest, but just wanted to make sure it didn't affect my future participation in product tests, really.Sad

ASDismynormality · 21/03/2018 08:55

I received an email and my own box. DD hasn’t received a box at all.

JustineBMumsnet · 21/03/2018 09:23

Hi all - we're trying to get an update on this now and will email all testers when we have one ASAP.

Thanks Justine.

JugglingMummyof2 · 21/03/2018 16:20

Just in case anyone hasn't seen this - email received today

Hi MNer

Thanks for your patience regarding the replacement betty box you're due to receive. We've been in touch with bettybox who have informed us that the delay here has occured due to the manual processing of orders, meaning that an admin error had occured which resulted in a delay to the bettybox shipments. They've confirmed to us that this has now been resolved and that the parcels will be sent out on a 48 hour delivery. They've asked us to pass on their apologies for the inconvenience that this has caused, and to also inform you that this type of error wouldn't affect any orders processed through the betty.me website.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch by replying to this email.

Many thanks,

The Mumsnet Insight Team

ASDismynormality · 21/03/2018 16:55

What about those of us who haven’t received our first BettyBox, should be still expect two or just the one replacement box?

JanettheNotebookJunkie · 21/03/2018 17:43

inform you that this type of error wouldn't affect any orders processed through the betty.me website

Hmm no, of course it wouldn't.

Nousernameforme · 21/03/2018 18:59

I think we just get the one if we haven't received one already

Some of us still haven't received the Pink Parcel or even a Betty box in the wrong name.

TBH, I think they should scrap the product test, I doubt after this whole fiasco they will get the positive reviews they were hoping for.

I entered into it with an open mind despite agreeing with a few of the neg comments at the beginning of the thread, but it's definitely put me off.

Nousernameforme · 24/03/2018 10:30

Still no betty box 3 days after the email saying they were out on a 48 hour delivery.

Can we just have the review thread please then i can review the pink parcel and no longer have to think about it.

Mossend · 24/03/2018 12:29

I think this test should just be abandoned now.
The company are obviously not a reliable one and I can't see them getting many favourable reviews after all the mistakes and misinformation.
It's a shame but surely there has to come a point where MNHQ have to say enough is enough

Cismyfatarse1 · 25/03/2018 11:32

Nothing here either.

chezbot · 26/03/2018 09:45

DD delighted with 2nd Bettybox. Umming and ahhing about subbing for her. Although the fitting through letterbox issue is a bore.As a PP said, don't fancy a monthly schlep to sorting office
