Pink Parcel and bettybox have asked us to find Mumsnetters to test their monthly subscription boxes with their daughters. To take part, you’ll need to be a Mumsnetter who uses femcare products and/or have a daughter using femcare products.

Some information from Pink Parcel and bettybox below:

Pink Parcel: “Pink Parcel is the UK’s No1 period subscription box that unites periods and pampering to make your time of the month fuss-free and fabulous. Delivered to your door monthly on a day of your choosing each box contains over £40 of femcare and beauty products including a luxe curation of cult beauty brands, herbal teas and artisan chocolates. You can select your choice of tampons, pads or a mix of both from all your trusted femcare brands. This super convenient box ensures you’ll never run out of femcare products again.”

bettybox: “bettybox is the perfect pick me up for girls. As well as all their trusted femcare products, they can expect sweet treats, make-up, stationery and more all from brands specially selected for teens. Choose from all your favourite femcare brands and receive your monthly box with treats worth up to £30 delivered for free directly to your door. You’ll never have to worry about running out of pads again!”

If selected to take part, you’ll need to give your feedback on a thread on Mumsnet as well as completing a short survey. All who complete the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Please click here to sign up.

Thanks and good luck!

DD loved her Betty Box, she loves the little drawstring bag for sanpro that goes in her bag and it isn't obvious what it is. She liked the separate day and night pads. She enjoyed the snacks and make-up bits and bobs and would probably like to subscribe (if someone else that would be me was willing to pay).
The Pink Parcel was okay but not as good as Betty Box, and both boxes were overpriced, in my opinion. If I was going to pay for a subscription for anything for DD, I'd go for Birchbox or Glossybox and carry on getting sanpro with the usual supermarket shop.

Osquito · 13/03/2018 22:06

Another one to say we’ve not had a Betty Box through yet (received my pink parcel about a week ago).

Cismyfatarse1 · 13/03/2018 22:16

DD is ET. We had a GB.

Is it just 1 month we get? Or more? Can't remember.

CrackersDontMatter · 14/03/2018 11:10

I’ve had my pinkparcel. It came last Wednesday but still no sign of the bettybox.

allthingsred · 14/03/2018 11:15

Are we supposed to be putting the reviews on this thread or will there be a separate thread?

Intotheclouds · 14/03/2018 12:30

Iv not had either pink box or betty box and no response from emails iv sent MNHQ

NotAnotherNewUsername · 15/03/2018 13:26

responded very quickly when I sent an email.
It has been a bit of a mess but I am sure we will all get our boxes/correct boxes eventually.

Of all the people in the whole world to choose as the face of a menstruation product, this is who they decided on?

Have a BiscuitPink Parcel.

starlingsintheslipstream · 15/03/2018 22:38

I rarely swear on here but fuck me. What a pile of shit.

"Research by the brand has found that just eight per cent of period related online content depicts the experience of the trans community, with 92 per cent viewing periods from a binary perspective only."

Erm.. I wonder why that is...

Quite liked my Pink Parcel but, have to agree with you ShotsFired Biscuit.

athingthateveryoneneeds · 16/03/2018 06:24

What a shambles this has turned out to be.

Perfectly sums up the concept of "uniting periods and pampering", this product test and their ridiculous campaign to take the taboo out of periods. There is no taboo, most of just view it as something private therefore don't want to announce the fact by wearing a "tee" saying "I'm on" Hmm

I'm quite concerned about data protection, actually.

NeverSurrender · 16/03/2018 21:13

I drove 15 minutes to the post office, stood in a queue for 20 minutes only to find the missed parcel I went to pick up was my box! After a 15 minute drive home I opened it to find it was pads Instead of tampons! What a shambles. DD 's box arrived a couple of weeks ago with the wrong name on and the replacement never arrived.
Completely put me off subscribing which is a shame as it was something I would consider. Not fitting through the letter box would be a deal breaker on its own.

OutsideContextProblem · 16/03/2018 22:15

Yea I would genuinely have considered a subscription for DD as a treat but not if that means an hour out of my precious Saturday morning spent traipsing to the sorting office every month.

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 16/03/2018 22:30

I subscribe to a few beauty boxes but no way on this earth will I have ANYTHING to do with Pink Parcel while they use a MAN to represent me and my FEMALE biology! Pink Stinks!

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 16/03/2018 22:33

Ah fuck it....just realized he is a SHE!!!! Ok that is better...but not by much as why not just employ a woman who doesn't muck about with the fact she is a woman?? Wouldn't she be much more representative of women than 'Kenny'??

Kenny, ffs. When will this madness stop?

OYdidiGoogle · 16/03/2018 23:47

Pink Parcel clearly don't care about their customer base - including young girls - or their CEO would've been on here weeks ago to apologise for the mess and prioritise sorting it out.

And I don't see the point of Kenny fronting the campaign - are they still menstruating despite transitioning?

Theimpossiblegirl · 17/03/2018 00:11

So did the boxes get re-sent? I've had my Pink Box but am waiting on a Bettybox.

SavoyCabbage · 17/03/2018 08:59

I'm guessing the resent boxes won't be resent until April. The other ones were sent out at the beginning of March even though we were told we were in the trial at the beginning of February. They aren't going to ask for feedback until the box mix up fiasco is sorted out. Maybe they won't ask at all. I've been on a mumsnet trial before which was abandoned because the instructions book that we got with the item was the wrong one so they started a new trial with different testers.

I don't know why they are, as a company, going down the 'periods are taboo' line as a marketing strategy. It's bizarre. For a start, that's not something I would ever want my teenager to get even a sniff of. So if there was even a chance of there being any marketing leaflet with anything suggesting having her period was something to be ashamed of, then I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

Nousernameforme · 17/03/2018 11:40

Nothing here on the betty box front still. I guess we can give up on that can mumsnet answer as to whether they still want feedback.

NerrSnerr · 17/03/2018 11:43

Nousernameforme they’re sending out replacements (assuming the next month’s box) so you will get one to review.

OutsideContextProblem · 17/03/2018 12:11

It would seem logical to expect the replacement Betty Boxes to go out with next month’s run except that the email on the 5th March said that they’d be sent out within the next 1-3 days.
