Pink Parcel and bettybox have asked us to find Mumsnetters to test their monthly subscription boxes with their daughters. To take part, you’ll need to be a Mumsnetter who uses femcare products and/or have a daughter using femcare products.

Some information from Pink Parcel and bettybox below:

Pink Parcel: “Pink Parcel is the UK’s No1 period subscription box that unites periods and pampering to make your time of the month fuss-free and fabulous. Delivered to your door monthly on a day of your choosing each box contains over £40 of femcare and beauty products including a luxe curation of cult beauty brands, herbal teas and artisan chocolates. You can select your choice of tampons, pads or a mix of both from all your trusted femcare brands. This super convenient box ensures you’ll never run out of femcare products again.”

bettybox: “bettybox is the perfect pick me up for girls. As well as all their trusted femcare products, they can expect sweet treats, make-up, stationery and more all from brands specially selected for teens. Choose from all your favourite femcare brands and receive your monthly box with treats worth up to £30 delivered for free directly to your door. You’ll never have to worry about running out of pads again!”

If selected to take part, you’ll need to give your feedback on a thread on Mumsnet as well as completing a short survey. All who complete the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Please click here to sign up.

Thanks and good luck!

There are subscription boxes suitable for either boys or girls - geeky ones with collectibles, foodie ones for gastronomically inclines teens, books, art etc etc. And of course there are still all those collect and/or build partworks you used to see advertised on TV. DH is doing one at the moment.

Frombothsidesnow · 08/03/2018 10:18

There are other san pro boxes too I noticed the other day, which can be the basic products or allow you to add things like heat patches and liners, and obviously (obviously) chocolate and tea.

aristocat · 08/03/2018 10:35

DD loves her box (despite the missing serum) and I'm seriously considering getting either a beauty box or one of these Smile

I only had 16 towels in my PinkParcel box, did others have the same? I'd require more than this every month so this makes me unsure about subscribing to them.

Supergluerules · 08/03/2018 10:49

Doesanyone it seems as though most of the subscription boxes are based on females or food offers. The male boxes are (as far as I can see from a quick google) socks, shirts or shaving equipment.

The challenge would be what to put in a young male box offering? Mine use facial products, like good food, use aftershave etc so there is potential, it would be a great gift idea if nothing else.

Whitelisbon · 08/03/2018 12:43

Our boxes arrived this morning (eventually!), mine is fine but dds is really bashed, and addressed to an R.E.
And they didn't fit through my letterbox either - my postman said he doesn't think they'd fit through a single letterbox on his round.

Raahh · 08/03/2018 13:07

Well, our post has just been , and still no boxes.

Sad
BlooBagoo · 08/03/2018 13:25

Whitelisbon - uncommon first name and Welsh surname?

Whitelisbon · 08/03/2018 16:13

BlueBagoo
Yes, both 5 letters.

scotchpie · 08/03/2018 16:16

My parcel arrived last week and partially used.

  1. I'd forgotten exactly what I'd ordered and had to figure out absorbency. Tampons were good, pads needed a bit more absorbency.

  2. didn't fit through the letter box and the mail man was frantic trying to find a neighbour to take it in.

  3. How small are the liners, my golly they would fit Barbies knickers.

  4. Nice touch with the freebie box but agree too many boxes and far to much waste.

  5. Another box arrived today with another girls name not my DD's, DH gave it back to mail man as he didn't know what it was.

  6. Not sure if DD will get her own box.

scotchpie · 08/03/2018 16:20

DD's initials IE I got one for Eve DH cannot remember last name

BlooBagoo · 08/03/2018 19:21

Whitelisbon - yup sounds like you got DD's name then.**

sarahsnail · 08/03/2018 22:54

I received my pink parcel box, like everyone else it wouldn’t fit in the letter box... but in perfect condition.
However the Betty box was damaged and addressed to KW .... shame that they have messed this up so badly.

Anyway, as a monthly beauty box subscriber, I must say I’m impressed with the treats in the boxes, especially the Betty box. I subscribe to the well known beauty box and don’t receive this many products... even tempted to cancel my monthly subscription because this has the added bonus of tampons and towels. I like the little surprise element each month and trying new products.

My DD loved the eyeshadow and lip moisturiser but the honey face mask was to moist and big for her face. The truffles went down a treat with her too.

When the proper review thread is up, I’ll post my review.

DidIMissSomething · 09/03/2018 12:54

Post just been and still no Betty Box here - pink parcel came yesterday. Wouldn't fit through the letterbox.

DramaInPyjamas · 10/03/2018 09:37

Is anyone still waiting on both boxes?

Pinkiepromisex · 10/03/2018 10:14

Got the box for me but dd is still missing in action. Initials AG if anyone has seen it!

Pinkiepromisex · 10/03/2018 10:15

Forgot to say that it didn’t fit through the letterbox which would put me off subscribing.

Nousernameforme · 10/03/2018 12:12

I have received pink parcel but still no betty box. Are we to do the reviews here or are we getting another thread mumsnet?

Raahh · 10/03/2018 13:56

Domain I'm still waiting for both. Sad

TalesOfStepford · 10/03/2018 15:49

Pink Parcel finally arrived yesterday and a Betty Box arrived last week but in the wrong name, obviously.
We really liked most of the contents of the boxes, a generous supply of sanitary products (in far too much packaging unfortunately), and the Montezuma chocolates were lovely.
Pink Parcel included some really lovely products: the face mist, rose oil and lipstick were all things I'd not tried before and the colour of the lipstick was pretty much what I'd have chosen so I would probably buy that. I'm not sure about the lone teabag, or the coconut snacks, they felt a bit healthy, I'd have preferred actual chocolate.
My daughter really liked the moisturiser and serum in the Betty Box, but the eye shadows were all shades of brown and not really her thing. Full points on the chocolate though.
I think I would buy the Betty Box for a one-off pick-me-up for my daughter from time-to-time but not regularly. If I could afford Pink Parcel I would probably subscribe to that too.

OutsideContextProblem · 10/03/2018 16:00

I do think that the letterbox thing is a dealbreaker when it comes to taking a monthly subscription. 11 quid a month (6 month rate) for my DD might be acceptable as a birthday present or whatever, but a commitment to spend an hour every month shlepping to the sorting depot on a Saturday morning.

androbbob · 10/03/2018 16:17

Still not got my pink parcel and feeling left out!

Ilikesweetpeas · 10/03/2018 21:27

Tried my rose oil today and that is lovely, something I would buy

fudgefeet · 10/03/2018 21:38

I received my box the other day and I was really happy with the contents especially the rose oil.
I don't buy beauty products very often these days so it was lovely to have a few things to pamper myself with although the coconut snacks were not to my taste (chocolate would have been better).
I would seriously consider subscribing to this.
We are still waiting on dd's box.
I did receive something addressed to a georgina (?) but sent it back to the sender. I've now realised it was probably her Betty box.

Mossend · 11/03/2018 07:44

My Pink Parcel has yet to arrive despite my DD's arriving a week ago which is a shame because all this confusion with names, the one on my DD's was wrong coupled with mine not arriving has really put me off subscribing

mumto2teenagers · 11/03/2018 19:32

My boxes arrived last week, one day apart, but DD's had the wrong name on it.

Will we be getting a new thread for reviews?
