Pink Parcel and bettybox have asked us to find Mumsnetters to test their monthly subscription boxes with their daughters. To take part, you’ll need to be a Mumsnetter who uses femcare products and/or have a daughter using femcare products.

Some information from Pink Parcel and bettybox below:

Pink Parcel: “Pink Parcel is the UK’s No1 period subscription box that unites periods and pampering to make your time of the month fuss-free and fabulous. Delivered to your door monthly on a day of your choosing each box contains over £40 of femcare and beauty products including a luxe curation of cult beauty brands, herbal teas and artisan chocolates. You can select your choice of tampons, pads or a mix of both from all your trusted femcare brands. This super convenient box ensures you’ll never run out of femcare products again.”

bettybox: “bettybox is the perfect pick me up for girls. As well as all their trusted femcare products, they can expect sweet treats, make-up, stationery and more all from brands specially selected for teens. Choose from all your favourite femcare brands and receive your monthly box with treats worth up to £30 delivered for free directly to your door. You’ll never have to worry about running out of pads again!”

If selected to take part, you’ll need to give your feedback on a thread on Mumsnet as well as completing a short survey. All who complete the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Please click here to sign up.

Thanks and good luck!

Hi all, you were very quick to this one and we hadn't added the link to the OP yet! If you'd like to sign up please fill in this sign up survey.

Hi all, thanks for your comments. Pink Parcel has asked us to share the below about the box:

"The monthly price for Pink Parcel is £12.99 with free delivery, and is worth over £40 every month. Customers not only get great value, they benefit from the convenience of having their tampons and pads delivered in sync with their period and get to try new products too. The Pink Parcel packaging is plain cardboard and 100% recyclable, and the 'for now' bag can be reused in every day life."

@del2929 we've received your response to the survey Grin

Thanks all for your comments - Pink Parcel and bettybox would like to respond to some of your queries and also address some of your feedback:

@CheeseandGherkins Both Pink Parcel and bettybox offer super plus tampons. These can be found in the sign up section when selecting your product, select ‘tampons’ > super + > all our super plus absorbency tampons are here.

@MyVisionsComeFromSoup Pink Parcel and bettybox offer both scented and non scented pads. They use popular, well known brands such as Always and Bodyform and both brands offer non-scented versions of pads. For more info on this contact their CS team on [email protected] or [email protected]

All of our packaging is recyclable and the drawstring cloth bag is reusable. Whilst others prefer the Moon Cup and other reusable products, some still prefer to use the non-organic/reusable items. Both Pink Parcel and bettybox are also currently working to include an organic option in their boxes.

Finally, we’re sorry that some of you feel this way. The idea behind our box is to try and remove the taboo around periods and make something not always so enjoyable a more positive thing to look forward to, so we’ve included health and lifestyle items in the ‘For You’ box. Herbal teas are great for settling stomach cramps, chocolate helps with the loss of blood in the body and the rest of the items are a great pick me up for when your hormones are all over place and you’re feeling low.

The idea behind the concept is not to exploit women’s biology, but to help make periods a bit better for those who struggle with them. Tons of women aren’t confident enough to buy their products from the shop - others find their TOTM painful and unpleasant. Of course, it won’t suit everyone - if you're not a beauty box fan generally this might not appeal - but if you are, this might be just the thing to make things a little bit more enjoyable every month!

Nevertheless this has been really interesting feedback for us, which of course is what we came to Mumsnet for in the first place. So, thanks for being so upfront!”

Hi all - the below from Pink Parcel & bettybox:

"Pink Parcel and betty listens and learns from each and every piece of feedback and it's hugely beneficial to help shape our future as we continue to grow.

We understand that a response we recently provided has been misleading which was never our intention. Whilst eating chocolate on your period does not aid or promote blood loss, there are numerous studies which demonstrate how consuming a moderate amount amount of dark chocolate can help with some of the side effects experienced during menstruation.

^Dark chocolate is anti-inflammatory and contains many compounds such as magnesium and potassium which have been linked to the reduction of painful muscle cramps. Dark chocolate also boosts the production of endorphins resulting in increased feelings of happiness and contentment. More research into the benefits of chocolate can be found here: www.pinkparcel.co.uk/five-reasons-why-chocolate-is-good-for-your-mind-body-and-soul^

We really do hope that this added detail and context helps to clear up any misunderstanding."

Hi all - apologies that some of you seem to have not received our email and that some of your emails to us are bouncing back. Please feel free to get in contact by either PMing me or emailing the team at [email protected]

We'll be getting the feedback thread on site once some of you begin to receive your replacement bettybox. If you're expecting a Pink Parcel delivery and this hasn't arrived yet please contact us so that we're able to look into this for you.
