Multiple award winner Jim Parsons, who's best known for playing Sheldon Cooper in the sitcom The Big Bang Theory, is in town to talk about his new film HOME.

Jim's going to be answering your questions direct to camera so now's your chance to get them down and line 'em up here. We'll select the best of the bunch and see what he has to say about The Big Bang Theory, HOME and all things quirky.

In his latest film, Jim will feature as the voice of Oh, a loveable misfit from another planet who lands on Earth and finds himself on the run from his own people. An unlikely friendship with an adventurous girl named Tip (Rihanna) takes him on a series of comic adventures, and while he changes her planet and she changes his world, they discover the true meaning of the word HOME.

HOME will be released in cinemas across the UK on Friday 20th March 2015.

What led the costume designers to give you and the others their style of dress sense? Is it really that cold with your themostat that you need a top under your tshirt and Leonard needs his coat on at all times Grin

Will you ever do Comic Con in the UK?

fedeq · 17/02/2015 14:59

So, hi Jim. I wanted to ask: do you have anything in common with Sheldon Cooper? And do you like "Doctor Who"? Plus, could you say something in Italian? 'Ciao' could be okay :)

Hassled · 17/02/2015 15:26

I'd like to know who is the worst giggler on TBBT set - Mayim Bialik (Amy) looks like she'd be a giggler. How many takes did it need to get the "It's a tiara!" scene so perfectly done?

CornChips · 17/02/2015 15:26

Hello! No question I am afraid - just wanted to say we are big fans too. Also.... my DS aged 4 is currently being assessed for ASD, and TBBT is something that brings him huge joy and amusement when he is usually mostly in his own world. It can be hard to reach him sometimes, yet with 'Bang' he just rolls on the floor hysterical with laughing. So that brings us joy too. :)

Manyproblemsinthishouse · 17/02/2015 15:29

Hi Jim, do you think you could be friends with Sheldon in real life? Or would he drive you too crazy? I am a big fan btw and my very elderly mum has a mahooosive crush on you!

Hi Jim,

Big love for you in our house :).

I'd like to know what your preference is, is it tv work, stage, acting in movies or voicing animation?

Grin
AnimalsAreMyFriends · 17/02/2015 15:47

Hi Jim!

We have just returned form the cinema - we saw the trailer for HOME, and my 8 year old son shrieked "It's SHELDON!!" at the top of his voice, across the cinema Grin

Our question is - Do you have a favourite book / author? Why?

Thank you!!

Alchemist · 17/02/2015 15:49

I've just finished reading The Rosie Project and the character looked and sounded just like you! (in my head).

Love TBBT but, like Hypotenuse, find it quite odd the way Amy's character has developed. She was brilliant at first. Why has she changed so much?

And thank you!

PS Will you ever be "intimate" with the woman?!

MissYamabuki · 17/02/2015 15:57

How did you go about studying the mannerisms for the role of Sheldon?

We love TBBT and enjoy your performances so much Smile

PuffinsAreFictitious · 17/02/2015 16:06

No question, but I'd like to thank Jim for portraying Sheldon in the way that he does. My son shares a lot of Sheldon's quirks and foibles and it's been so good for him to have a role model who is 'like him' but also cool, clever and generally amazing.

daniellecumberbatch · 17/02/2015 16:16

Jim I would like to know which is the weirdest thing you have ever done on TV ?
And please come to Spain!

LostInWales · 17/02/2015 16:19

House full of your fans here too. When you were the human version of Walter during 'Man or Muppet' in The Muppets film you probably made all of my sons year!

The boys had a chat and as DS1 is actually Sheldon in real life he doesn't feel the need to ask anything but DS3 would like to ask you a very important question. So:

What is 12 times 12 please?

indiaweasley · 17/02/2015 16:22

I love your work but how did you go from tbbt to disney???

fuzzpig · 17/02/2015 16:26

I actually fell off my chair AND shrieked with glee when Sheldon Jim appeared in the Muppets. Best casting choice ever :o

Oh and I love the appearance on Sesame Street too.

Thumbwitch · 17/02/2015 16:42

Both my sons like TBBT even though they don't quite 'get' it yet; even the 2 year old knows when "Bi' bang" is on, and laughs along anyway :) Starting them young...

JimmyPea · 17/02/2015 16:43

You seem to prefer German cars. Would you also drive in Germany, if you ever had the chance to?

ItsATIARA · 17/02/2015 16:48

Just seen a trailer for Home at the cinema before Big Hero 6 and the DC were highly entertained.

Can I please second the request for Jim to sing us Soft Kitty. I think I'm coming down with a sniffle

maloofysmum · 17/02/2015 16:51

Love TBBT, one of my fav shows,I love the dynamic between you and Mayim Bialik Smile. My question is... you've had lots of guest stars on TBBT, are there any actors/actresses that you would like to have on the show and what role would you envisage them playing?

finalcut · 17/02/2015 17:00

Hi Jim! I could find interviews of you talking about almost everything, but I've never found anything about music. Do you like it, and if yes, is there some band or singer you are fan of? Smile

We all love TBBT in our house, too! My 10yo DS (with ASD) is proud that he's "a lot like Sheldon in many ways" and likes to wear a long sleeved tshirt (we call them Sheldon tops) under his short sleeve tshirt. He's asked if we can have a schedule for meals every week just like Sheldon Smile He got a tshirt folder as one of his Christmas presents and was ^^thrilled.

I have a ----thing about soft spot for Leonard - is he as lovely in real life?

My 7yo DS's question is "will you come round our house?"

Thank you!

Petty285 · 17/02/2015 17:16

TBBT is one of the best comedy ever, and Jim is an extraordinary actor!
Jim, which is your favorite classic Hollywood movie, if you have any?

elena12 · 17/02/2015 17:22

Once you were asked why you didn't have any cats, and you answered "because allergic". How could you shoot the scene with 25 cats then? Shock

AliceLidl · 17/02/2015 17:35

Would you rather own your own fully functioning TARDIS or your own fully functioning Terminator?

It's my own internal dilemma. Head says TARDIS but heart says Hasta la vista baby.
