Hello. We're extremely honoured (and just a little bit over-excited) to announce that royal bride-to-be Kate Middleton is coming to MNHQ for a webchat today at 1pm.

A while back, we put in a formal request for Kate to take part in a Mumsnet webchat (nothing ventured, nothing gained and all that) but, truth be told, we weren't that hopeful, given her other pressing engagements this week.

But then, this morning, the Buckingham Palace Press Office rang to say Miss Middleton had some time this lunchtime between her last dress fitting and her first palace-balcony-etiquette briefing - and would be delighted to drop in and chat to Mumsnetters. Apparently, she's been lurking on Mumsnet quite a lot recently and has been finding the Bridezilla discussions a real eye opener. Shock

So, quick, please post your (suitably deferential) questions for Miss Middleton here - and join us for our very first royal webchat at 1pm.

ILoveTiffany, didn't the poster whose son has sn say if she had told him he would have been upset so it is a good job she didn't tell him ? Confused.

DamnItJanet · 26/04/2011 14:21

Cross post with BOF.

I don't think anything is ruined. Could have been very funny if managed better though. MNHQ I am just a bit disappointed in you

I am actually quite astounded that I can actually be so nice and uncynical. Who knew?

dawntigga · 26/04/2011 14:23

Who will take the Mumsnet campaigns seriously now?
"Mumsnet. Weren't they the idiots who thought KM was chatting to them?"

Rohanda · 26/04/2011 14:29

Just whatelse do some poster's want? Justine held her hands up fairly early on when it was clear some people were cruising for a bruising. Apologised, looking at a tiara-icon. Nice idea, timely, in MN-style, potentially very funny, just executed fairly shitly.

Cant wait for the olympics spoof.....

Bumperlicioso · 26/04/2011 14:29

Justine, you've let us down, you've let yourself down, but most of all...you've created another excuse for more pointless royal wedding non-articles!

lionheart · 26/04/2011 14:30

lol Reality.

amberleaf · 26/04/2011 14:31

I think more damage could be done by people moaning about it, why complain? 'cos you felt silly at being duped?

We only know people were duped 'cos of all the complaining!

Be cool peeps

BitOfFun · 26/04/2011 14:31

Oh, everyone thinks we're twats anyway, thebest even Justine Grin

Nah, it just went off a bit half-cocked.

ZillahWhoDrankTooMuchGin · 26/04/2011 14:33

"Cant wait for the olympics spoof....." - Rohanda, sadly - that's really going ahead

Grin

ZillahWhoDrankTooMuchGin · 26/04/2011 14:34

ZillahWhoDrankTooMuchGin · 26/04/2011 14:34

I trust no one now

happymole · 26/04/2011 14:34
