STOP PRESS! Live pre-wedding webchat with our very own Kate Middleton, TODAY at 1pm

Hello. We're extremely honoured (and just a little bit over-excited) to announce that royal bride-to-be Kate Middleton is coming to MNHQ for a webchat today at 1pm.

A while back, we put in a formal request for Kate to take part in a Mumsnet webchat (nothing ventured, nothing gained and all that) but, truth be told, we weren't that hopeful, given her other pressing engagements this week.

But then, this morning, the Buckingham Palace Press Office rang to say Miss Middleton had some time this lunchtime between her last dress fitting and her first palace-balcony-etiquette briefing - and would be delighted to drop in and chat to Mumsnetters. Apparently, she's been lurking on Mumsnet quite a lot recently and has been finding the Bridezilla discussions a real eye opener. Shock

So, quick, please post your (suitably deferential) questions for Miss Middleton here - and join us for our very first royal webchat at 1pm.

Valpollicella · 26/04/2011 12:34

Merry, stop writing the headlines for them!

Psammead · 26/04/2011 12:34

I hope Kate isn't really a lurker. She must have seen this and thought 'oh shit! The bastards never tell me anything . WTF am I going to say to that bunch of plebs? Oh heck, and here's me in my tracky bottoms and a facepack.'

BitOfFun · 26/04/2011 12:34

The main thing that pisses me off is that even though I didn't believe you, and lots of people were just suspending disbelief on the off-chance and being cheery just in case, Matthew Wright is going to weep laughing at us and call us stupid Angry

I'm not that bothered actually, but you know it's true! Grin

Merrylegs · 26/04/2011 12:35
Grin

but it's soooo easy!

Merrylegs · 26/04/2011 12:36

Yes. Actually. We were being cheery. You have been a bit mean.

GypsyMoth · 26/04/2011 12:36

yes!!! compenstion required!!!

my lazy teen got out of bed for this!! now i'm stuck with her all day.....

BitOfFun · 26/04/2011 12:36

Ooh, and Tbe Daily Mail will have a headline "Mumsnet- The Backlash", and Justine will have to grovel in a very shamefaced fashion and they'll call her something mean and criticise her outfit.

Really, you walked into this!

DamnItJanet · 26/04/2011 12:37

Take it down MN, won't someone think of the children?

NotShortImHotCrossBunSized · 26/04/2011 12:37

Easter eggs are half price now. I think MNHQ should buy at least one two for me as I thought of it for everybody who posted a question.

happymole · 26/04/2011 12:37

Ohhh

x-posted agree with gitorf MNHQ you should sponsor pinots royal kittens as penance.

Bumperlicioso · 26/04/2011 12:38

Oh dear Epic Fail MNHQ (no idea what that means but I keep reading it on t'interweb!)

Free commerative chocolate to everyone who posted? Grin

I can't help but feel like this was some sort of test...

PinotGrigioBlush · 26/04/2011 12:38

I agree with happymole!! :) :) :)

muddyangels123 · 26/04/2011 12:39

Hi Catherine.
Wishing you well for Friday.
My DD (9) is also called Kathryn and would like to know what it's like to be a princess .

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 26/04/2011 12:39

I would settle for one of these.

If only to see DP's face when it arrived.

insertfunnynicknamehere · 26/04/2011 12:39

Well bumper I posted a few times so I should get extra chocolate..............

propgrl · 26/04/2011 12:40

You should add something to the top (original) post saying it's not real. I found out on Twitter and had to go to the last page to find out if it was real or not. You should make it clear from the get go. Not in good taste really even if it was for a bit of fun.

southeastastra · 26/04/2011 12:40

yep agree with bitoffun, already on twitter they're gloating about own goals. oh well..

Bumperlicioso · 26/04/2011 12:40

I almost mentioned this to dh. I'm glad I didn't now. He already thinks we you are all a bunch of loons!

IslaValargeone · 26/04/2011 12:41

Forget Justine's potential outfit criticism, we are supposed to be one of the more intelligent parent discussion sites. We are in for right bashing.

ZacharyQuack · 26/04/2011 12:41

Another vote for kitten sponsorship. Pinot could call them Will and Kate or Justine and ummmm Darren

Bennyboyjamin · 26/04/2011 12:41

Will Kate be doing the something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue routine? If so can she tell us about at least one of them.
Thanks and all the best.

MardyBra · 26/04/2011 12:41

Is this going to be known as MN's KateGate - one to add to the list (moldies, fruitshoots, cod etc) forever trotted out as proof that someone is a regular after namechanging to discuss their smelly fanjo problems.

GypsyMoth · 26/04/2011 12:42

oh dear.....several threads going already....posters arent aware this is a wind up!
