Don't suppose anybody anybody in Wakefield area is free to be a witness at our wedding tomorrow afternoon?

That's it really. We're running away and getting married by ourselves with the DC (you can't really call it eloping when it's Wakefield ) tomorrow afternoon.

We were going to accost people in the street and still will if this doesn't work but thought we'd give it a shot here.

We can offer you a free glass of bubbly in return

I am genuinely moved :D

Congratulations!

BelleDameSansMerci · 30/06/2010 20:58

Ah, thank you all...

Honestly, I have never been to a ceremony where I could almost feel the love/affection/trust and adoration between the couple. It was genuinely moving to be there.

It was an honour to be there. It really was.

Thank you for the shoe admiration too. They're one of my favourite pairs and didn't quite match the dress . They're "vintage" (ie about five years old) L K Bennett.

Hulababy · 30/06/2010 21:23

Great photos; you all look lovely. Cute little girls too!

robino · 30/06/2010 21:24

You're a right soppy bunch (please imagaine your very best Wakey accent).

We've just been out for a meal but set off a bit late for the girls so they weren't at their most co-operative. We were just getting a tad frustrated about not being able to eat our dinner and vaguely considering going home when who should turn up? The registrar who had officiated at the wedding! She came over, asked us if we'd like ten minutes to finish our meal and could she take the girls to see the fountain? So she did

And as for telling our families? Well we're going to play it by ear with DD1 over the next couple of days to see if she is likely to blurt anything out (we didn't actually tell them what was going on) and if it looks like we might get away with it we're probably not going to mention it at all.

I need to once again say thanks to Knickers for the flowers and to Belle for the horse shoe. And for just being there.

knickers lovely to meet you too. I was going to post about what a total fox you are but couldn't find the right words!

I realised that I passed my driving test the year before you were born which gave me pause for thought...

BelleDameSansMerci · 30/06/2010 21:30

robino, it really was an honour. You, your DH and yoru beautiful girls couldn't have been lovelier. It was such a lovely, unexpected treat to be there with you.

BelleDameSansMerci · 30/06/2010 21:31

And I'll stop using the word "lovely" shortly - I need a thesaurus...

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 30/06/2010 21:32
