That's it really. We're running away and getting married by ourselves with the DC (you can't really call it eloping when it's Wakefield ) tomorrow afternoon.

We were going to accost people in the street and still will if this doesn't work but thought we'd give it a shot here.

We can offer you a free glass of bubbly in return

Oh how exciting, just the way I wish we'd have done it

I'm nowhere near, but I hope you have a lovely day!

robino · 29/06/2010 20:06

Fatzak - Wakefield is local. We're not even running away properly, just popping down the road. If we were truly running away, Wakefield wouldn't be the venue of choice

I am in the arctic circle.

Dh and I were witnesses in sort of a tailormade Hindu - Christian wedding ceremony in Mauritius. (Bride Hindu, groom Christian) We were accosted outside the temple, and of course we did not mind.

Good luck tomorrow.

fatzak · 29/06/2010 20:17

Have a lovely day robino - are you getting married in the Town Hall?

knickers0nmyhead · 29/06/2010 20:18

ivykaty44 · 29/06/2010 20:19

magicOC · 29/06/2010 20:20

Never been to Wakefield so no idea of the layout, but, if it's in the town centre there will be someone around willing to do it. My friend done this 26yrs ago, still happily married with 2 kids and 2 grandkids now.

Good Luck and many congratulations.

BuzzingNoise · 29/06/2010 20:25

Wakefield is many things, ivykaty, but not romantic! It has a rather nice cathedral though.

knickers0nmyhead · 29/06/2010 20:25

The IL's are having the dc's tomorrow whilst I ''decorate''

BelleDameSansMerci · 29/06/2010 20:26

I live near Wakefield and I have tomorrow off work... I was going to go shopping but if you're desperate I can make myself available.

BelleDameSansMerci · 29/06/2010 20:27

That sounded rather "dry". Congratulations and how wonderful would have been more appropriate!

Anyway, I can be there, looking presentable, if you need me. x

knickers0nmyhead · 29/06/2010 20:29
