Stuff you think must happen to other people - but can't risk asking?

Anyone else have stuff happen to you that must happen to others.

But you can't really ask because what if they say "NO! How weird!" And then you can never talk to that person again. Wink

So I'm bringing it to the anonymity of Mumsnet.

I'd love to hear other peoples. And will start off.

  • whenever I wash my hair in the shower (I have long hair) loose hairs wash down my back and end up in my bum crack. End of my shower I have to check there's no hair left.

I can't be alone in this grossness! (Or can I)

I sometimes orgasm whilst having a poo! I used to orgasm when climbing the ropes at school 😟 that was not good.
Whenever I yawn it causes me to sneeze and I sneeze really loudly cause if I try and keep it in it causes me terrible pain in my pelvic/groin area. People have to me to sneeze quietly but I really can’t.
Pooed during birth 1 out of 4.

spaceghetto · 03/02/2021 23:06

Every morning on the inside of my nose (the bone bit) I have a thin scab of bogey on each nose. I have to get it out by gently putting my finger on it and it comes off in one satisfing fingertip circle. Anyone else?

Does anyone else cry a bit when they poo?

All these people that take a book to the loo - how do you see through the tears?

Yellownotblue · 03/02/2021 23:07

@oakleaffy

A resounding YES to remembering cringy things and inhaling sharply with shame.
This is such a revelation. I get this too, on a daily basis. I think I have an issue with guilt/shame/losing face. Glad I’m not the only one! I wonder if men get that too?

YES, I googled it once. there is a scientific explanation but I've forgotten it and cab to google on mobile. But apparently perfectly normal!
Esspee · 03/02/2021 23:12

I had never even heard of female ejaculation when it happened to me. I had to ask my partner what just happened. I was mortified because I thought I had peed the bed during the most intense orgasm I had ever experienced. (It certainly wasn’t wee. It was clear and didn’t smell)
Anyway he was mightily pleased with himself and spent the rest of our relationship together trying to work me up to that state again.
I do miss him.

kirktonhouse · 03/02/2021 23:13

I can only swallow tablets by 'shaking' them down. I often retch when cleaning my teeth, especially if time pressured (or pregnant).

I'm very static - shock the dog's nose, can't wear too many man made fibres. Escalators, car doors, metal shelving in shops, metal bar under my desk, lifting ds2 off plastic slides - ds1 was always fine! I'm excellent at finding underground water - I assume the two things are linked.

Anyone still sleep with any form of comforter?

Or just me Laying here with my little sloth tucked under my cheek...

tobee · 03/02/2021 23:19

I have a huge bear that I use occasionally.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 03/02/2021 23:19

I thought everybody got sleepy dust in the corners of their eyes? I was always told it was from the sandman visiting at night. I presumed it was where the stories about him came from.

I get vibrating eyelids, it's very annoying!

oldsoulrebel · 03/02/2021 23:22

@Sporranrummager

Have name changed for this ........

Anyone else orgasm in their sleep?
Anyone else orgasm while giving birth?

Please say yes, please say yes, please say yes

Yes and yes
YesPleaseMary · 03/02/2021 23:22

Yes to period poos, achy fanny, inhaling sharply at cringey memories, mouth doing that garden sprinkler thing, farts trapped in fanny, sleep orgasms, gnawing on itchy hands and lovely big bogies.

Nipples though... does anyone get a weird itchy tickle in the back of their throat when having their nipples touched/played with? Please say yes...

Fortheloveofcake85 · 03/02/2021 23:25

Flippyferloppy
Omg this I was hoping someone else would bring this up...the bath water is a definite yes..
But I've often wondered if anyone else jumps out of bed like a ninja to try clean up before it gets all on the sheets your about to sleep on? Lol..it's most definitely not how they portrait in the movies 😬

I’m the same with sneezes, so loud people actually stop what they are doing and stare at me in astonishment if I sneeze. I don’t do it often but when I do it happens multiple times.
A weird thing I have is since I had my gallbladder removed I occasionally get a build up of abdominal wind I can then burp continuously for hours- not an exaggeration. If I’m at work trying to burp quietly for hours is so wearing.

Lolalovesroses · 03/02/2021 23:28

@NanuNanuM

Sometimes I remember an event from the past and I physically inhale with the shame of it. Nothing bad, just mortifying things where I was a knob. They bring me physical pain.

I do this!!! And sometimes I talk out loud as if it distracts the thoughts

Me too, but I shout out " I love/hate"usually the name of an ex-boyfriend that I have no interest in whatsoever!
Catra · 03/02/2021 23:29

@Catra I get the fuzzy neck feeling. It’s like bubbles ina. Coke bottle fizzing from near shoulders all way up to head. I fractured my neck once and that was the first time I felt it.

@Angliski you're the first person I've found who says they experience it too - no neck fractures here though. Fizzing bubbles is a very good way to describe it. From this description, I managed to find a Reddit thread about it. Seems we're not the only ones!

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 03/02/2021 23:31

My goodness I never knew others got that depressive, doom laden feeling when they touch their nipples. I am staggered!

Someone mentioned feeling it in their vagina when they poke a hole in their belly button. I get this too, but I also get a very similar feeling in the vulva/vag area when I.....drink champagne Shock and it's not very pleasant! It doesn't happen with any other alcohol so not sure if it's an intolerance, but it's weird...

Whichname98 · 03/02/2021 23:33

This thread has made my night! I'm so glad I'm not the only one that random stuff happens to. @ILoveAnOwl yes, definitely happens all the time. I get a sudden pang of embarrassment and shame when a cringeworthy event comes back to haunt me. I have a terrible habit of overthinking anyway so definitely can sympathise!
@rosegoldivy yep bogeys that are massive and hard to get out are so satisfying when they finally come loose.

QuestionableMouse · 03/02/2021 23:36

@MisiSam

Sometimes I will get a pain like someone has stabbed me up the bum, only lasts a second and it's really sharp!
@misiSam

Javelin arse. If you search on here it has been much discussed!

KylieKangaroo · 03/02/2021 23:37

Does anyone else have this thing where you're half way between being awake falling asleep and you let out an involuntary noise? And you're never really sure if anyone else can hear it or if it even came from your mouth! It happens all the time to me I think but I can't prove it or explain it Grin

MojoMoon · 03/02/2021 23:42

If I do a sudden sneeze (the sort that comes on suddenly, not when you feel yourself doing the ha ha ha ha ha bit before the achoo) then I often fart simultaneously.
It's quite awkward.

Does any every feel like they have a bubble of air in the knee? I think of it as being a bit like one of those bubbles in a spirit level, and I can sort of feel it floating and resisting when I bend the knee

Whichname98 · 03/02/2021 23:48

@KylieKangaroo yep definitely. And that annoying jump I seem to do most nights before dropping off to sleep. It's so odd!!

Whichname98 · 03/02/2021 23:48

Anyone love squeezing blackheads? One of my favourite pastimes
